Mines at 172k (just bought it) with no can... Seems to be slightly blown out of proportion but I will seafoam a few times and install a can. Some day when it comes apart for a rebuild it'll get properly cleaned/reworked... Sadly this block looks trashed without being sleeved, probably not worth it.
Before all this work just buy a new one this ain't even worth it but if you like these guys and it looks like the kno what they doin but its my opinion
Im selling my used 6.1 for 800 it has a spun bearing the shop quoted me 700 to rebuild it parts/labor and if you look online used there 5k with 100k miles
dang very rare to see a 6.1 with a blown rod
Awesome bro gotta do mines got a rod knock
continuee the rebuild, upload videos
Tell owner next time install a catch can plz that alot of carbon build up
RG GT catch cans help but do not eliminate all carbon. This engine definitely had a lot of miles on it.
@@Sak-zo1ui yep 60000 miles is a lot for a dodge product 😂
@@themechanicred ok

Sort of interesting...
Damn one too many burn outs!!!!
Sweet, check out my Jeep srt8 jeep
Ok 61,000 miles is or should be nothing on this engine. Lack of maintenance and running it wide open and the end result is a trashed engine.
