I love corona because it was the first beer I actually enjoyed as a highschool student who didn't like much bitter beers. Once I discovered Negra modelo though it stole my heart over.
Ah, Corona...only consumed in the aforementioned Bali when I got tired of drinking Bintang... I gotta say, it has its time and place! I'd never drink it at home, but somehow you put me on a beach and that's all I want!
First time I went to Ireland we went during a bank holiday so a lot of stuff was closed. We went to a pub to drink Guinness and all the local Irish were drinking Corona. I'll never forget that.
I find it funny that most import beers are cheaper then the domestic brands now. (I'm in Georgia) and don't get me started on the alcoholic carbonated water beverages that they sell for more then the price of beer. SMH.

Yes and No. Dont get confused the company Compañía Cervecera de Puerto Rico sold their trademark of the brand meaning the name "Corona" to grupo modelo/Mexico. The recipes were not given or copied from the corona puerto rican drink.
No. The Mexican Modelo company bought out the Puerto Rican Corona brand so as to not have confusion about which beer was which. The two companies had nothing to do with each other
December 2021.. your company has for the last few years the best commercial on tv.. the Palm 🌴 with the Christmas lights on the Island 🏝 the whistling "oh Christmas tree".. 🎄 is the Best Commercial Ever.. no other one's come close.. makes me sometimes wish I drank it.. thank you..
A. I enjoyed this video, from an academic standpoint. B. As a native New Yorker, it kind of irked me that the image shown when you discussed Catholic refugees fleeing the US for Mexico was one of the Steuben Day parade on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. As much as we like to think of our city as a safe haven for anyone, we also don’t like being mistaken for anywhere else on the planet. We pay far too much rent for that. C. As Samuel Merritt of Civilization of Beer points out, the true genius behind the marketing of Corona is that Modelo convinced bar owners that it was their job to provide lime wedges - the only ingredient that provides Corona with any noticeable flavor - on their own dime! D. What I do enjoy about Modelo’s success is that most Mexican restaurants near me stock their perfectly drinkable Negra, and some even have their rather delightful German style pilsner, Bohemia.
Corona extra originated in mexico in 1925 while the Puerto Rican only 1937. The Mexican company bought the Puerto Rican company just to prevent confusion. But it’s still Mexican
Grupo Modelo bought the trademark “Corona” from Puerto Rico, but the beer itself was made in Mexico, it was just a legal issue regarding brands and names, not the actual juice inside.
(2:40) Indeed. Southern Mexico is predominantly indigenous Mexicans with some European blood mixed. Germans have heritage in some of those southern states, although a lot of moved to big cities. 20% of Mexico's population are indigenous. Way higher than USA. And the immigrants from Central America who remain in Mexico are also indigenous from other nations.
I’ll gladly enjoy one with a lime in the summer heat. Not because its a good beer, but because I associate the whole experience of drinking a mexican lager with relaxation. If possible I’ll opt for a landshark instead because it gives me the same clear bottle experience but no skunk flavor (they use hop extract instead of hops so its immune to light).
Fabulous, I’m looking for the promo of the Neon Swimming Pool sign used way back when in stores bars etc. If I can Get any info would greeting appreciate. This is the beer of choice in my house, for all our occasions.😊 thank you in internet land.😊
Corona definitely strikes me as a warm weather beer. So it is typically consumed with little regard to taste and with enough lime all you taste is the citrus. Not my 1st choice but if it is hot enough I can make it disappear.

I avoid it out of principle. It’s a great marketing success but nothing else really. It’s great to see you back on the tube. I agree with the pumpkin request below. Thank you.

Clearly your taste in beer is very limited as is your taste in all other aspects no doubt.

Truth! That’s way some of the farmers are call “ Menonitas “ / “ Amish “
They basically grow and consume everything they harvested, in a daily basis

@Isaac Duran you’re right we are above in all aspects.
I'm sure that's not what most people think about when naming a beer...."could this be the name of a virus one day" lol
Corona means crown
I think Corona viruses have been around a lot longer than this beer brand...
