There's a small spreader tool use should after applying the caulking. After application, you just drag it along the corners end to end so it smoothes it out and creates a nice tight seal when it dries🤗
The lock actually comes with it. I just purchased this myself! Although, I am going to put a key lock on it to give my wife peace of mind that my ball python won't be able to escape lol.
I’m thinking of getting one of these for my bp, however I am worried that the material might end up molding or deteriorating due to the higher humidity that they need. Have you had any issues regarding the material? I would love to know
Could you please link me the silicone you used? Or at least give me the name and type? I know it has to be 100% but I want one that comes in a squeeze tube like that you were using in this video. Just want to make sure it's safe for my reptile and I don't need to buy the caulk squeezer thing! I will be using it on this same exact enclosure!
Anywhere between 60 -100 snakes (depending on where I am at during breeding season). I also have a crested gecko, a few fish, an old blue tic hound, a Doberman, and a little chihuahua! And 3 kids as well. So life is busy at the moment. 😂
I don’t think your supposed to use that kind for reptiles it’s supposed to be 100%silicone that looks like caulking chalk with latex but to each there own good luck
Bro you look like a Batman villain with plans to cover all of Gotham in poisonous snakes if the mayor doesn’t get you a million dollars by midnight.
😂
👍❤️👨💼🤫
😂
When he first mentioned his concerns, I immediately thought silicone!!! Nice to hear we all think the same lmao
And if you want to do a clean job you spray the silicone with window cleaner and smooth it out with your thumb (or a proper tool)
I didn’t know about spraying it with the window cleaner! Does that help stop it from sticking to your fingers?
@@Molinaro_Snake_Lab Yes, that way you get the typical smooth filled in corner. I would test it first :)
There might be regional differences
You think olive oil would work?
Great idea! Will be doing this when I set my viv up 💖
I’m really glad I found this channel, it’s allowing me to fix some mistakes I have in my ball python’s tank. Thanks!
when he said mojave i thought of the geckos for fallout new Vegas
Bro, you look like a business man in the 1870s who wants to buy a oil company
All looking at snake... Me looking at
skeleton looking at mirror 🪞
They have different colors too like black

aquarium sealer works too.n it safe
How are you liking the enclosure? Also, did you seal the four corners all the way to the top? And did you seal all four corners? Thanks!
I just got the same enclosure and i'm wondering where you got the lock from?? Love the videos btw keep up the good work!

How do you feel about colubrids and the side vents, I worry they will escape
You remind of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory..
But you are way more cooler!
Your Charlie and the Snake Factory! 🙏🏼👍🏼😎🐍

Have you ever done the stackable option for these?
Bruhh, you didn't even spread it out with yo finger lol
Do you have frog’s I love them 🐸🐸🐸🐸
I love catching and identifying frogs and toads but I’ve never kept frogs before. They are super cool.

Can we get a tour of the snake lab? - fellow snake enthusiast 🐍💚💜
I just bought this enclosure and I’m planning on sealing it up. What brand of silicone caulking did you purchase for this?
I just bought the GE 100% silicone in the small squeeze tube.
Besides the snakes you breed do you have any as pets? Like ones you don't breed
How many snakes do u have also u got any other pet?

Have you ran an heating mat with one of these?
You can totally use a heat mat under these, although if it's a ball python, I'd just use overhead heat.
I mean my parents are in charge of lifetime habitats so usually our cages are in good condition 😭
plus now one of my snakes are loose and we still can’t find him it’s been over a month now 😭 That’s kinda why their cages are better
Is it pet safe?
Huh cool I was wondering how to do that
Really easy fix!
@@Molinaro_Snake_Lab yeah it is can’t believe I didn’t know how to do that until now

your caulking style needs some finesse but good idea
