Sorry for the bad Photography, I'll try to get better.
Police Sergeant loses it, completely unprofessional to a law abiding citizen.
Police woman appears to try to run over and then sprays water over a law abiding citizen
I spent about 3 hours outside the Police station taking pictures and watching our government in action, seeing how our tax payer dollars are being spent.
I must say nearly all were polite professional and courteous, as you would expect, unfortunately there had to be exceptions, as some tried to unlawfully run me off and act with disgusting behavior, surprise surprise, they really let the whole NZ Police down.
Sgt Brook a police sergeant who you don't want to meet with out a camera, he has a really short fuse if he doesn't get what he wants, he shouldn't be in the job, time to retire.

I'm putting my complaint in, in a few weeks, they know who I am now, I put a OIA request in getting all the video of their camera's and any and all documents. Good on ya Kerry!!!!

6:10 nope correction sgt our police station, paid for by tax payers money , our police work in our police station if you don't have privacy for people in the station and privacy for any officers then that's on you guys, create privacy , what you don't want to be filmed can be seen from the foot path i.e a place where it's perfectly legal to film from,

  • @deeza8851

"The facts of this case, Yer Honour, are that my client was unable to vacate the premises in a timely manner before the parking meter expired, due to the gates closing before he was able to make a sprint for the gap, after the Police Officers had entered, or in the case of several leaving, had blocked the exit as they had stopped the taxpayers taxis they were travelling in, right on the footpath, to speak to a dude with 2 cameras who was taking some videos of the sparrows making a nest on the roof of the building, above the rear entry point of the building."
( The Judge looks over the top of his big, round spectacles )
"At approxamately 10.008 am the smoko rush in, and out, created further problems and my client believes that the parking fine should be passed onto the lady with the funny sideways lean, as she was very keen, it appeared, after an examination of the photographic footage, to be the most interested, except for the Police Officer who came and went, and came back and went, several times, making my Client very dizzy......and...er....well
so in summary...... my Client pledded not bloody guilty, in his words Yer Honour,.. and I would have to say that the delays caused by circumstances beyond
his immediate control were most unfortunate,... with the parking ticket summary not being all that clear as to these outstanding matters directly related to the issuance of it, or the subsequent towing fees and related charges for damage to the road due to someone stealing not just the hubcaps, Yer Honour, but the entire differential..."

@@daimitchell5560 Maybe you could try asking them for the photo id and they might show you?
However, Policing Act 2008 section 96 subsection (6) state "Despite subsections (1) and (2), if any question arises as to the right of any constable to hold or execute his or her office,-
      (a)
common reputation is evidence of that right; and
      (b)
it is not necessary to produce evidence of the constable’s identity and authority."
If you check subparts 2 and 3 of the act, the only people Constables are required to answer to within the executions of their duties is the Commissioner of Police - and by extension those he delegates (chain of command).
The function of NZ Police comes from the Policing Act 2008 and there is no express obligation within this act that states that a constable must produce this photo ID to the public for inspection. There is a section in there that states that it is Police duty to uphold their code of conduct - there is also no express direction that police must identify themselves to the public when asked in the code of conduct.
I have found that usually the people who are making sure everyone else follows the laws of NZ are infact, the Police. lol

You probably won't like me saying this, but most are really good people, of course there are exceptions of course and shouldn't be in the job, and the police have no accountability, as bad as the US cops are they have way more accountability over there. The IPCA are a waste time, and management will do anything to protect the troops.
Take the Inspector, he handled the situation exactly how he should of, he tried to use my suspected lack of knowledge against me to achieve his aim of moving along, but the tables were turned on him, and he handled it perfectly, he walked away. If the Inspector wasn't there I'm sure that woman would have arrested me.
Take that Sergeant he shouldn't be in the job, that was just so bad, he was going to or wanted to arrest me he said a couple of key words that was setting it up on the cam, but I took away his reasonable grounds to believe, and after that he became my bitch, authority on camera never come's across well. I probably said to much and should have shut up.
Sooner they get body cams the better stop the BS
      Anyway I'm rambling to much

      Thankx Cheers Richard,
No you don't have to give them your ID, just when you are driving a car or committed an offence under the transport act. They will try and bullshit you to get it, what they are really after is information out of you, biggest thing in the police is getting people to talk, its a real skill, I'm still bad for it now after all these years, getting people to open up and talk.
If you watch the video again, just note how much I give them, five eighths of nothing it really pushes there buttons, when they have had a career on nearly everyone telling them there life story.
IMHO its the biggest mistake in the auditing community talking to much, just ask them question's, just ask them to identify if they won't use it as a weapon, everytime they try to ask/tell you something just keep repeating it, inside you are driving them nuts but they never show it. Except that 1st woman.
Its my biggest fault I shut them down to quick

Kiwi's answer was not what you asked.
If an identified cuntstable demands your name you must give it-correctly.
There are 3 things you must supply on demand
      Correct full name(if asked for)
      Correct residential address(if asked for)
Correct date of birth(if asked for)
There is no requirement to CARRY id in New Zealand let alone present.
Kiwis answer about the "transport act" was WRONG.
the requirement to produce a drivers license for the vehicle type you are driving is under the LAND TRANSPORT ACT.
this act has mostly superceeded the transport act, with nearly all of that act being repealled.
Further to that a drivers license is NEVER to be used as identification, according to the landctransport act, despite everyone accepting it as photo id,including government departments.
If a cop stops you on the street as a pedestrian(without observing you exiting the drivers side of a vehicle,or has reasonable grounds to suspect you were driving a vehicle(i.e.-witnesses saying you were the driver)) you NEVER have to present a driver license.
Under our currant covid situation if you are traveling over a boarder you are required to present proof of covid test(not a negative result but only proof of the test being undertaken within 7 days from date of travel for business reasons) and proof of identity(which is mostly a d/l and proof of travel authority.
This is under the HEALTH ACT and is a very special circumstance tgat has never been enforced in New Zealand in my lifetime.

@@richardmorgan3093 i gave you the situation as per the LAW.
If you are questioning it check up the legislation yourself.
      I watched the video too.
The way the cop asked is not the format that is required.
Splitting hairs i know but thats all theclaw is-splitting hairs.
If you check up sec. 64 to 72 of the land transport act there are a bunch of questions that police are DUPPOSED to ask at traffic stops, but you dont hve to answer all of them
      1 correct fill name
      2 correct residential address
      3 correct date of birth
4 production for unspection of valid drivers license for the class of vehicle you are driving(but only if asked)
5 CONDITIONAL must provide correct registration details pf vehicle you are driving IF IT IS NOT REGISTERED UNDER YOUR NAME,and ONLY if its not registered under your name.
You dont have to tell them where youre going, where youve been, your work place, your phone number or anything else.
Remaining silent to all these questions is a RIGHT wether youve been arrested or not
The only spanner in the works at the moment is under the health act you must present proof of recent covid test(3 days for personal and 7 days for commercial) for travel accross a boarder, appropriate travel documents and identification-this is for all persons in the vehicle.
You also cant be legally arrested for filming in publuc as that is protected by the privacy act AND more importantly the crimes act 1961,sec 216(b),(2),(a).
Font believe-thats your choice .ive given the exact reference according to our legislation so credability is not an issue
