Perfectly logical but, I wasn't loosing weight until I started learning little bit about food calories and then I got very fast results when I applied the knowledge and now I am very happy with my body, free of unwanted weight and feel very light and strong. No offense, just an opinion. Your fan.
The thing is you should have a rough idea about what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat and that's all. Because you definitely have atleast a rough idea of your diet and quantity, if not exact. So when you start eating less than your regular diet, you will automatically start seeing results with your workouts included, and during all this process there's no need for you to count the exact calories that you need.

I once told a gym trainer to stay the fuck off my diet and stop trying to sell a stupid nutrition. I only used their equipments to lift weight, jogged in a park not on trade mill, no diet required. I'll eat whatever my mom cooks and no junk food. Still loves whole home cooked chicken curry and fuck gringos olive oil we have mustard oil here with desi ghee. Never counted a shitty calorie and I never fell ill, Thank God, Indian food and my Mom. Actually thank all Indian mom to keep the traditional food going. 🙏🙏
