It's difficult to give instructions on how to animate. But these are probably the most important elements you need to have a look at when you learn animation:
Key poses - used to define the most important moments in your animation are vital to understand the action that you are animating. Craft these keyframes carefully e.g. by developing poses with thumbnails.
Extremes or extreme poses like anticipation and overshoot are needed to prepare and catch the animated motion.
Breakdowns - define the middle position between two keyframes. Use this to define the arc that the element will travel on.
This video gives you all the step by step instruction you need to animate a headturn in any animation software. This exercise is a good start to learn character animation.

Seriously nice work
November is animation crunch time! I'm down the homestretch to finishing the first part of my animation. I wanted to finish my 10 minute animation by the time fall was here but animation is time consuming even in 3D CG animation. My goal now is to get it done in 2019. When you see something I animated and it looks really good, it's such an awesome feeling.
Good luck for your crunch time! 10 minutes is a lot, quite an impressive project. Can't wait to see it. 😃 Indeed, seeing it all actually come together is such an amazing feeling. We gotta get back in touch via email, had so much going on, I couldn't really find the time I wanted to take to reply to you.
@@AnimatorIsland When it will be done it will still need a lot more work. I noticed I'm missing quite a few anticipations and snapbacks on my animation in some scenes. I want to evoke ooh and aahs not ew and ehs. :P
Thank you, fantastic.

This vid helped a lot! I was wondering how to replicate an action from your mind into the animation because I'm stuck on a particular part of my animation. If you have a vid or suggestions pls tell me thx!
compilation of people you might want to learn from:
if you have problems visualizing kim jung gi has an excellent mind and has free classes on all types of topics and livestreams, Aaron blaise is an excellent character animator who does livestreams, james baxter has really good character animation as well, there's toniko pantoja who has really really good tutorials on their youtube, and there's the heavyweight draftsman champ richard williams RIP
Amazing! When can we get more premium lessons with the 2D Class Pass??
I thank you gracias I got the problem I understand placing but I don't like the lines beyond the the easy in easy out I don't see the lines on the profecional animation
Can you do more tutorials about female head turn and body turn? Thank you
I love to work with onions o animation what about when the elements they are not close I thank you Gracias
Gold $$$$$$ ( i actually found)💝 thanks alot
bro you save my tesis xddd
Dude you look like Josh Gates...Btw 💖ur videos😁
i wish i could support by the premium but you know
no cash
2:44 Otherwise a nice demonstration, but the character here is preparing to turn before looking to the right, which is kinda odd. A good example of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". It is very tempting to add bells and whistles to make an action more complex and forget what the character thinks/feels/reacts to
I don't need to learn to morph. I just want to make animation that doesn't give epileptics seizures.
In every new episode (frame) your appearance changes :)
Thanks for all of the tutorials, I have incorporated some of your advice into some of my latest animations! If possible, I would love some feedback or advice on my animations on my channel. Thank you for your tutorials, and keep on making videos, you are awesome!

This is just one video of a whole course. If you want to know more, you need to watch the next ones. This one shows how to create motion straight ahead: ruclips.net/video/Cgex6wo9YSc/видео.html
This series is about pose to pose: ruclips.net/video/zAqKvnYQdEc/видео.html
Animation can get very complex, so we are tackling things one challenge and concept at a time.
more lessons bro
I don't know why ma animation looks so jaggering
