Find out...
- why heavy and light objects deal with forces differently,
- how speed indicates the scale of your animation,
- what a bounce tells us about the mass and material of an element.
Knowing the principles of animation physics will help you to create more realistic and believable motions. With a few simple guidelines even beginner animators can create motions that feel heavy or light - wether it be the famous bouncing, jumping flour sack or complex character animation.
I appreciate your intuitive analysis of motion, without immediately reverting to quantitative kinematic equations. very enjoyable!
I was actually struggling with animating a jumping fat character. And this is very helpful. thank you so much.

@@AnimatorIsland that's awesome! I would really like to get back to revamping those courses - some of them are pretty outdated. I'm really happy it still has served as a good resource to go back to - that's exactly how I had hoped it would be used :)
Thank you so much! I love the way you explain things and break things down. It's been really helpful on my journey from a complete beginner!

Great video Ferdinand 👍
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoyed it. Do you have any feedback or topic wishes? Let me know if there is anything I can improve or if you are interested in a particular topic.
That Dreams VR stream on your channel looks super interesting.
@@AnimatorIsland Hi again Ferdinand. I'm not sure what Dreams VR video you're referring to? But yes if you own a regular old PS4 with PS4 camera, a DS4 or set of PS Move controllers and a PSVR headset, then it's by far the cheapest way to experience creating art in VR.
Be it:
2D hand drawn sketches, paintings, animation
3D modeling, sculpting, animation,
music creation, film, game logic
Or combining all of the above to create your own games.
Or if your not interested in creation yourself you can just enjoy the thousands of creations others have already made and more are added every day.
So you can do all of the above in VR or outside of VR.
And all you need is a regular PS4 and a DS4 control. Having Move controllers is optional.
And you ofc need Dreams too. But that's so cheap right now, it's just crazy. You get all of the above for $20 💗
Regarding what i want you to show. How about a deep dive in Blender animation both 3D and Grease Pencil?
thanks brother
Thank you for watching and your kind comment! ☺ Let me know if you have any topics that you would like me to cover. 😀
Oh, and if you know anyone who would like the video, please consider sharing it on social media. It really means a lot.
Sir plsss upload more
We're working to deliver a bunch of new content on a regular basis, yep! Thanks for watching!
