I still want a continuation of Ghost of Tsushima, but I’d rather they not make a second game and screw up his character. I want to remember Jin in a positive way and not a cash cow.
The graphics, the scenery all look as amazing as the first one. It's good that this is going in a different direction, once the first one was done, it was going to be near impossible to add that much more to Jin Sakai's story. They'll most likely reference him in dialogue from time to time

There were two attempted invasions of Japan by the Mongols. The first in 1274 and the second in 1281. Jin could have been living quietly, the ghost no longer needed, until they attacked again. He could be married and have children he needed to protect. These stakes are realistic and add dramatic tension. Maybe between his wife and family life he has adopted and his need to protect the island with his skill and identity as the Ghost. Maybe somehow the Emperor gets involved and he needs to reassert himself as a Samurai, bring law and order back to the island. This is more a general thought, I'm fine with the idea of the Ghost being the common thread in these games. Then we'll have Ghost of Kanazawa in 2030 or something else completely new.
They could do so many things like have Jin write a haiku and show flashes to that fight where you choose the outcome. Or they could just say the shogun had him removed for failing. Or they could say he was mysteriously poisoned which could have interesting implications. I could keep going but you get the point.

I have a really good feeling when in the future there will be a new exploration for The Ghost Of Yotei and it's going to be Tokyo or at least I hope because I have just checked the history of Tokyo and it was established in 1603 the same year The Ghost Of Yotei will be taken place in the main story and the trailer shows proof of the exact year but at the same time I don't think they're going make Edo, the original name before it would be known as Tokyo way back then to be the new exploration for The Ghost Of Yotei but I will crossing my and toes for this one, and one last thing I may not know the whole history of Tokyo or Hokkaido or all of Japan but I do love it just as much I love my in Sacramento CA!

I hope we get to explore the entirety of hokkaido/ezochi. The shamisen on the protag looks interesting, very curious how it can be utilized. Looking forward to potential new mechanics such as the ability to blend into the crowd as a performer with the shamisen and perform an assassination with a kanzashi (hair ornament) or something. Also will we still get onsen or joke armor like the loincloth when the protag is a woman?
Though I'm sad Jin Sakai's story has now ended, and that I think Suckerpunch missed the opportunity to follow his life as a wanted man in 12th century Japan, I'm very excited to follow this new story and setting in Hokkaido

Man I have to be honest, one of my all time favorite games was Tenchu Wrath Of Heaven. Up until that point it was a lot of Ocarina of Time and GTA3 etc. When I picked up Tenchu at Walmart I had no info or sense of the game but the cover art and the synopsis on the back had me like"Ok lets see what this is all about" Hahaha glad I did. Easily became one of the all time favorites. Anyways I bought this game basically right after starting Red dead redemption and we all know how that goes lol so yeah still haven't gone too far in the game. It is really well put together cinematically

Hate to say this but this really not a sequel. This is more of a spin-off. They should continue with the second Mongol invasion that happened 1281. It would have made sense to see Jin continue his battle with the Mongol.

I believe the dlc in ghost kinda does that already by mentioning Jins uncle as if he was still alive even if you decided to slay him.

@KidnapSix It's not like I've been forced to play as male characters in over half the games I've been playing for at least 25 years of gaming. A lot of games I love are male leading, but I don't complain because I enjoy the game.
Unless they give you the choice, I doubt there would be any difference in what happens in the game otherwise. Literally nothing changes.

Idk, it always feels like the 2nd game after a banger game is always even better. I think of games like Mass Effect 2, Red dead 2, Batman Arkham City. These are considered some of the best games ever made

@agarciahunter there literally wasn't. Aside from pushing back the remaining Mongols, there was nothing. The only thing they could've done was make the entire game about Jin running from the shoguns men.
@@klgw99that could've worked though. We could of had him go to mainland Japan to flee the people hunting him and had him have to gather his own allies to fight back. Could have easily made a game about it and had some interesting sword fights too
I'm happy about this but they left Jins story with a hint that something else was going to happen. Now it's just 'And he ended his days in a shack. The end.'

im disappointed in the sense that I wanted more of Sakai's story to continue, perhaps him traveling to Mongolia and removing the root of all evil, but I'm impressed in the sense that they decided to go beyond that and show a whole new story altogether.

@@mrkdavis22 that's more valid but I don't see an argument for that being the expectation. The change in period and location is far more interesting as is the idea of The Ghost being a legendary figure across time someone adopts vs it just being Jin Sakai.

Bosses are rare. They all fight the same. Main focus is clearing bases like an assassin and wandering open world.
