Excellent video and nice to hear the Singaporean accent :). The English instructions that come with the K4 KINGrinder are pretty pathetic, so thank you very much for this thorough demonstration!
Good video! I think I assembled it worng and that screwed with my grind settings. Beans that were perfectly dialed in at 65 clicks came out much too fine. Will try tomorrow if my grind settings are back to normal again. Got enough caffeine in today trying to find out what I did wrong.
This video is helpful. Thank you. BUT, I'm still not clear about how to set the K4 from the get-go. Am I supposed to turn it clockwise? If so, how many times? Twice? If so, do I stop on 0 or does the grinder itself stop at 0? This is so frustrating because no matter where I look, I can't get an answer to that simple question (the instructions that come with the grinder are not clear).
Wonderful demonstration and thank you for including all the glitches. Do you have any suggestions on how often to clean such a hand grinder when using it daily?
If you’re struggling to slide the C ring on, make sure that the top (grinder setting ring) is screwed down to 3 or 4. That gives you the most room and makes it easier to put it in the groove.
Great rearview .... got mine [k4] this week .... it came disassembled and thank to this clip I could easily assemble it. One issue I observed is that Zero point on adjustment dial and zero point printed on body are not aligned when grinder tighten, actual distance between them are 3-4 clicks. is there a way to bring\fix ZERO to ZERO points?
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore Thank you so much for your willingness to help! I'm glad to inform you that I've resolved this issue by pressing on the protruding shaft of the grinder. Many thanks!!!
Kin Grinder has this issue..I don't think there is a solution to it. The best way to counter this is to find the zero (when the crank doesn't move) and count the number of clicks that grind good for you.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore Thank you for the answer. Which grinder do you think is best under $300? Electric preferably. Also, one with less aluminum. I'd appreciate your suggestion.
Hi, I disassemble Kingrinder k4 and for some reason when I reassembly it I mess up with clicks. Now instead of 60clicks I need 30 clicks for my coffee. Is there a way to calibrate it ? Thank you
I suspect that if you are off by 30 clicks that you have the lower washer that sits atop the spring facing the wrong way. He mentions in the video that the flat side should be against the spring. There isn't much else that it could be. There aren't that many pieces. Also, I believe that the manufacturer has not designed the product with calibration in mind. That is one of the differences between a $100 grinder and a $300 grinder. It's just a reference anyway. If you want to compare settings with someone else, you cannot rely on setting the same number, but you can go all the way to zero and count up an equal number of clicks.
I don’t know what magic you guys do but if I use 70 or more clicks my coffee gets extremely bitter… I was following the RUclips settings and I got so mad… no crema and waste of coffee… I want to cry for real
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore it doesn’t says when it was roasted, I didn’t know when I was buying it… I got very mad when I check and it’s not written… it’s “special coffee” from Brazil, arabic beans, medium roast.

I was struggling trying to disassemble the grinder! Your video was very helpful! Thanks you very much!
Glad it helped!
Thank you, friend! Very clear instructions, you made it super easy to do!
always welcome my friend!

Once every 2 weeks i think it will be great!

Let me check out mine.
Hello, did you find a fix for that? It happens the same on my unit.
@Leonardo I don't have any issue with mine actually. What is the issue you are facing?
@@CaffeMartellaSingaporeHi. The zero click is not aligned with the zero printed on the grinder. I'm not sure if it's normal or not.
I think it's normal for this grinder. QC issue. It doesn't affect grinding so I am not really bothered by it.
Muito obrigado por esse vídeo! (Brasil). Foi muito útil
Hi CY!
I mistakenly placed the bearing cover upside down. Now it won't come out.
Is there a possible fix for this?
Hmm...can you snap a photo and send to my email at speedy3dcreations@gmail.com

Thanks for your review. Are you going to make a comparison with k6 grinder and difference of coffee taste (espresso/V60) between two this grinders?
Yes I will be doing them soon!
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore did you have compare them?
thank you man
very helpful 👏👏
Tanks!

How come no fine tuning needed or fine adjustment? No adjustment of the burrs is needed?
Sorry, may i know what is the cleaning brush head made of?
I'm a newbie.
Please tell me which grinder should I buy between KINGrinder K4 or KINGrinder K6?
The price difference is really small.
I personally like k6 better because it's more versatile between getting good espresso as well as good decent filtered coffee.
Hi CY!
On my K6, the zero point was at -5 initially, but then it moved to -10, and now it's at -12.
What's happening? How can I fix this?

Great video! But i am tremendously struggling with placing back the C clip. Tried for like 2 hours but still no avail. Any advice?
Use a bottle cap on a table to push the burr upwards while holding the grinder down against it, while your other hand puts the clip on place
Probably you didn’t anti clockwise the click part.

What kind of coffee beans do you used? what is the roast level, roast date and bean varietals?

1z is obviously better built but not necessary much better in taste.
