Might sound miserable but actually this is quite the opposite, but a number of years ago when my daughter was a little bit older we decided as a family to tip Christmas on its head and stop making it about the bulk presents and instead more making it about family time, de-stressing, lots of games, laughter and relaxing together, we reached a point of feeling like you don’t need anything and instead of buying things for the sake of buying things, we felt we needed to change it to remove the stress. We reward ourselves throughout the year to space things out and not falling for the Christmas bulk expense and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best things we’ve done. Our Christmas is stress free and we are so close as a family because of it and something we look forward to now to destress and prepare ourselves for the new year. It doesn’t suit everyone, but certainly done us good for a bit. 👍

Do ya know Richy, this channel by far is the best, most relatable and inspiring biker channel there is. The peaks is also my back garden and it’s lovely to see through your visor to our screens. 10 years is crazy and the channel has carried me through many stages of my life. Since the channel I’ve met my finance had 2 children, bought my first house had many bikes and many memories all the time watched every one of your videos. You helped me massively in lockdown with the cover songs and the odd riding video. Just want to say thank you mate for uploading so we can all enjoy the content as I’m aware it must take an awful lot of time to do but it’s massively appreciated and enjoyed! Everyman, his bike, and his dog, and the kitchen sink have done Spain Portugal picos ect. Think I'm not the only one saying it. How about North Africa if it should be warm. Or nip down to the Alps. You've got all the heated clothing in the world. No such thing as bad weather u said 😜 just bad gear 😛.

The Outer Hebrides tour, not surprised it got that many views, I think it probably intrigued so many people that anyone would ride a motorcycle in such atrocious conditions, you frightened the crap out of me just watching you. This years winter tour I would just catch the ferry to Bilboa and just go with the flow from there. Thank you.

Laughed when you mentioned late night with a cuppa and Google Maps - same here recently due to having had to cancel my trip to Turkey in October/November 2023.
Can’t wait to see where it leads you. South of Spain/Andalucia never disappoints!
That said, I’m tempted for south of Italy + Sicily for winter riding, looking if I could squeeze that in for a week end of Jan or early Feb.

Well, if you want a proper winter adventure, then go to Kiruna- Northern Sweden. There's an ice hotel there but you might need some spiked tyres 😅

Good news about the Vstrom staying until 2025 and as I said when you first aquired it that it would grow on you, you are being seduced and as you say they are a no nonsense and very capable bike which does everything it says on the tin. I love my 2022 xt tour version and honestly wouldnt know what to replace it with apart from maybe the DE version. Happy new year.

So for the winter tour, i think you should treat yourself to a bit of nice sunshine.
Land at Santander/Bilao and turn right towards Picos (dont stop) and head south down the N621 towards Riano. Carry on south towards Salamanca and heading for Ronda. From there perhaps Malaga/Mijas and the general Malaga area. Perfect winter sun then ride back…if you still have energy ride back through Spain and France.
Ps….can stay at mine the night before the boat if you use Portsmouth for port of departure …Bang! X

Yes its a tad heavy but no differrence to any other adventure bike out there, for a lot less money . What ever you do looking forward to the video.
