    Excellent review, purchased the rally explorer last month. Really looking forward to riding this spring here in Canada. Coming from a f800gs this is going to be a huge upgrade. Thanks and keep up the great reviews.

    Great review, I got my Gt Pro last October and absolutely love it. I tried a Rally Pro but even at 6' 2" felt it was a little tall for me. Looking forward to some touring this year, roll on May when eight of us are off to Scotland.

    I seem to remember the 21 inch wheel version has a sharper rake angle, which compensates for the larger wheel, giving it better road handling whilst retaining the off road benefits of the large front wheel

    • @MOTOUK1

      Yes 👍 nothing wrong with the 21 wheel had such a blast on twisties in Italy last year just popped the rally pro in sport and suspension stiffens up nicely. Love it

    Brilliant video and comparison. You were the one who convinced me to get a T120 Black and I think now also the GT pro by the end of this year. Cheers

    Nice video. I take delivery of a 2024 GT Pro this coming Friday and with a 34“…inseam, I find the bike very comfortable on the high seat setting (870mm). In the lower seat setting I found the leg angle to be a bit cramped, at least for a 60+ year old fart like me. I haven‘t tried the Rally Pro, but was so happy with the comfort of the GT pro during the test ride that I bought on the spot. I did ride a 900 Rally Pro as a potential alternative, but the crash bars somehow block my knees, and the hot air blowing on your thighs made it a no go.

    • @MOTOUK1

      Awesome congrats 🍾 yes I have heard others say with a 34 leg that air intakes hit knee. At 32 leg I don’t get this on the RP. Love my RP and done many thousands of comfy miles now 👍

      @@MOTOUK1 im not sure the problem exists on the 1200 model range as there are deflectors that steer away the hot air.

    Good video...thanks. I have a Tiger 1200 GT Pro (in blue) and love it, other than getting on where I still think they've built it too high! Good comparison - sounds like it probably comes down to aesthetics...which do you think looks/feels best for you. Looking forward to seeing more videos of you evaluating 'my bike'!

    Nice review I’m the same as you if they had the Matt Green in the GT I perhaps would of gone for it but like that colour and the spoked wheels better so ended up getting the rally pro
    I don’t know why they don’t offer all the colours over the whole range as well as spoked wheels or alloy should be able to choose
    I do like the idea of it auto lowering at 30 that would be a great upgrade 🤞they listen to what being said 😊
    Soon be off touring short and some longer ones this year

      Thanks 🙏 also while on the M6 the other day I noticed endless roadworks for I believe 5 years now never finished because they made smart motorway now changing back to hard shoulder. 5 years it’s been roadworks. The road company who had that contract must be rubbing their hands at the stupidity of this government

    Just in time! Rallye pro is 16000 US DOLLAR right now.
    Some say that the GT handles much better. But I am 6'4 and slow on pavement. So 21" might be the solution.

    Interesting comment about the difference between 19” and 21” front wheel, I have a BMW R1250 GS and a Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE so same difference. The GS is way sharper turning than the Scrambler but that doesn’t mean the latter handles poorly, just a different feel. Nevertheless both equally engaging in their own way. So I wouldn’t be put off by the 1200 Rally 21” front wheel especially with the bar positioning. Only question I have is, are they top heavy like the old gen 3 triple ? Tempted with the new Tiger so Great comparison , thanks.

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi 👋 yes agree I love the 21 front. So the 30lt explorer imo is a bit top heavy due to the extra fuel but the rally pro I have is not

    Do your givi panniers fit on the triumph rails?

      I prefer the rally too TBH, So i didnt buy the bike with the triumph pannier rails and bought the Givi Monokey single rails as they are more aligned on width when looking from rear and wanted the Trekker Dolomiti Panniers as like them better.

      Evotech bar end weights all but removed what little vibration was there in the first place. Some people are very affected by even a hint of vibration though. I've heard some guys even call the bike "unrideable". I honestly don't understand what they're talking about. I've spent 7 hours on the highway with mine and it was a non issue.

    Did you find any difference in brake dive between the 2 bikes?

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  4 месяца назад +1

      Interestingly enough I did on the ride and will talk about this In final video. I set the GT in same suspension modes and damping and the GT is former in that mode less dive. On my Rally pro adjusting the suspension up to sport makes it stiffer and great on roads twisties. But the rally suspension is more soft at same settings being more travel, ie more dive. But I feel on a tour I like the comfort of the Rally Pro better

    • @leonmcdonald6567
      @leonmcdonald6567 4 месяца назад

      @@MOTOUK1 I'll be interested to know. Especially as I do a lot of 2up riding, and that seems to exaggerate the dive more.
      I recently test rode a tiger 1200 GT Pro and the latest version of the 900 GT Pro.
      I prefer the look of the rally though!
