This is some great quality, I don't know why you're not exploding! Loved the video. Also, when you're not sure about a rule and you check it, you make me happy, so many videos I have to suppress the frustration of seeing 100 rules getting botched

@HereticDave40k yeah point for point they are probably cheapest terminators and their modles ate sick (pun intended). I feel like the issue is leaders for them just feel better on 3 deathshroud. Deathshroud feel like they always perform but blights sometimes go a turn and have little impact. If I was to fix them I'd give them a feel no pain 5 to only mortal wounds. That would really up their value and not overpower them. You have inspired me to try them again though because I do love them blokes. Might swap one of my 2 units of deathshroud and a nurglings for a unit to run with virulence

GW should definitely nerfs those Nightbringers, they are too nasty. I've seen many games with those and each time they are practically unkillable and yet they hit so hard.

I'm not sure tbh. I faced a few of them at a tournament before their points increase with my Deathwatch and they're easy enough to bring down if you focus fire. Volume is key as they only have a 4+ save

First, aberrants, second Meganobz are “hard to kill”. Now, we must destroy Nightbringer. Isn’t it?

I don’t think you can run plaguecasters with other characters. Good game.

It's the ability for the blightspawn, he can join a unit even if a leader is already attached to it.

GW needs to nerf the deathguard aura bs. Not only does it apply two separate debuffs that stack, it grows in aura range without any trigger except a new battle round.
Deathguard players use the excuse saying they arent OP because they are slow; bs. Can literally get that ridiculous aura in your opponent's deployment zone on round 2. That is not a slow army at all.
All that even before the ridiculously low costed units that all have super strong combos that again stack with ALL of their other debuffs.
Its an army that literally punishes you for playing the game when playing against. Not fun at all.

    • @HereticDave40k
      @HereticDave40k  2 месяца назад

Interesting view point... they are still a mid faction in terms of competitive win rates... and without the extra contagions they got given, were rock bottom. However I do agree they can be annoying and oppressive at times, but so can abilities of other factions.

@@HereticDave40k in an edition that you need to be mid field competitively to score points instead of just playing secondaries to win, the aura has been made stronger because your opponent literally cannot afford to sit locked in their deployment zone until turn 3 or 4 when they finally can kill enough to avoid the aura.
      1) the aura should be 3" base and only grow once to 6" at turn 3.
      2) no more double dipping, your aura (detachment rule) should be 1, ONE debuff. Not two that stack.
      3) the reason for having higher toughness, and space marine stats being lower movement just doesnt really show on the data sheets. They dont move any effectively slower rate to match their increase in toughness. Nurgle rhinos should only move 8" not 12".
      3) insane ranged firepower PLUS huge volume of melee attacks per model, with stacking ap for almost all units. Along with very low points cost per model.
The win rate% vs total players playing DG isnt a good marker to use in examples because they arent a popular faction to play/collect.
In non-competitive play sure, sit back not scoring till you table them and hope you can still win with vp. Competitively, it is something that you just cant do if you're trying to win overall.

Interesting viewpoints... I actually see Death Guard regularly at tournaments, normally one of the most popular factions at them, along with Space Marines. Other factions have far greater abilities. Eldar fate dice, Sisters miracle dice, etc. Not sure they have insane firepower either. There are many factions that can out shoot Death Guard, and every faction can out manouvre them.
Remember, I lost this game with a Necron list that was not top meta because I failed a 3" charge...
I often win games against Andy and his Death Guard in our practice games before tournaments, which we don't film... my advice is to actually ignore their contagions and play the mission, and play your game.
If you spend the game worried about their contagions, you've already lost.
Hope that helps in your battles against them.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts.

@@HereticDave40k necrons are a shooty index, with very limited melee strength except for ctans and even those die extremely fast to all the combo stacks in melee vs deathguard. I'd sooner get into melee with world eaters than deathguard simply because of the ridiculous amount of stacking debuffs.

@@danjones3012 Show me where on the Night bringer did the Death Guard touch you? Jokes aside I've only versed Death Guard three times as Necrons and was stomped all of them - though I put that down to the other player just being better than me.
