For the vinegar lovers: You can boil beetroots and once they are soft (but not too soft) you can slice garlic cloves and mix them with the beetroots. Add a bit of salt, olive oil and vinegar. When she said to put some “ clothes on your carbs “ we can translate that in the kitchen :” pasta with boiled spinach or kale 🥬 or sweet peas 🫛 “ . To carbs add some greens 🥬.
Eat your carbs with foods that slow down their digestion and make you satieted, ie. fibre, fats and protein. Otherwise you get a quick glucose spike and then a drop after that.
i have lost 10 lbs in two weeks. i just cut out all solid food alternate days. so yesterday i had tinned tomatoes liquidated. as a drink. and some small amount of cheese. tea, drinks, then next day just eat 2000 calories? a normal day. so your calorie deficit is levelling out? i feel better already. no cravings? some hunger? but if you get a hunger pang? a small square of cheese. i've stopped feeling bad? its small tricks. if i tried to control calories? it would break down. i'd lose control. so just eat whatever you like? on one day? and avoid everything bad the next day? a schizo diet. a fast? but you don't want to aggravate your gallbladder. that cheese is important. calcium also binds with oxalates. so Dairy is important.
We are not only material beings but energy beings as well. We get our energy from God or from people, but we need to get it in a positive way, so it will sustain us. If we detached ourselves from other people especially from our tribal group our family, we lose energy and become weak or sick. Try to watch parade or weddings even if you don't know the people who are getting married, you feel a certain rush of energy that somehow makes you feel happy and strong.
This was excellent and I just requested her book from the library; very excited to dive in! Many years ago, I was 'sidetracked' into becoming a dietitian-nutritionist while taking Anatomy & Physiology, because of the number of illnesses that started with 'unregulated blood glucose'. I have personally seen links between my glucose levels and acne. So fascinating!
That's crazy! I'm not a dietitian or nutritionist but i am interested in my health and how my body reacts to different things. I have seen a pattern that if i eat too much sugar in a short span of time in a matter of minutes i get cystic acne like on my back. It's crazy! And then if i stop eating the sugar it just calms down and disappears in a day or two I mostly noticed this when i eat a lot of very sweet chocolate, but i didn't notice me having an allergy to cocoa or anything. At the same time, I'm not the type of person that enjoys the really sweet cakes so it's hard to hell from what exactly this reaction could come (besides sugar)
thank u so much! i have always love eating and that made me lose weight super hard, tried a lot of diets and exercises along with it, but what made it possible was agoge diet. it changed my life. its always about the right diet for u

Breakfast is important. We have to eat healthy, savory breakfast within 2 hours waking up. It is good for the heart and to keep blood sugar steady. When I eat savory breakfast, I do not crave sugar during that day. I feel good. She said eat vegetables first at mealtime because fiber will slow down sugar rise. I think that eating meat instead of vegetables at the beginning of the meal is good also. Fiber, fat, protein slow down sugar rise.
Thank you for the info, I am diabetic and don't mind that you uses the CMG for science, only disappointed that the CMG prices haven't go down yet, so a lot more people can afford to use it.

When done, I go to the sink and let the HOT water deglaze the pan (lots of steam) then quickly use a green scrubby pad to remove any residue ( I never use soap). Put it back on a burner till any water has evaporated, pour a little avocado oil in and coat the entire inside with it. Then I set the pan inside the cold oven to slowly cool. Over time the inside of the pan will become smooth and glassy. A little oil or butter when cooking and food will not stick.

As some one who was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and Rosacea, which I got due to eating way too much meat, dairy, and too little fruits and vegetables, this is quite entertaining to watch and also learn. I'm also a trauma survivor, and battling depression, anxiety, food intolerance, and allergies. I'm also deficient in vitamin D which is also linked to diabetes, depression, and Rosacea. Already managed to loose 33 lbs on my own or 15 kg, and 15 kg more to go... food is so much harder when diabetes type 2, and Rosacea. Feels like I can't eat anything tbh. If I knew half the shit I know now, I probably wouldn't have gotten diabetes, gotten obese etc.
This is an awesome video! I find it very helpful. I am a NMP and i have suggested this diet rules in the past to many of my patients with lots of success...For me was very natural to know about this, because growing in Europe we were thought to eat this way. And by the way Mediterranean diet has been clarified as a healthy diet in many studies and discussions, probably because this is part of the way people eat in the Mediterranean regions.

When I was growing up in Azores Portugal we aet soup and others food for breakfast and we where happy and healty
I HATE sweet breakfast, so this information makes me very happy 😂❤ and I can drink and eat things with vinegar all day long. I will send this video to everyone who tells me "I'm weird" for all those food preferences 😅
After I lost my job years ago, I found that I hated eating sugar first thing in the morning. I drink apple cider vinegar in the evening after some time has passed since dinner.
I'm so sorry🙏🏻but SHE'S SO CUTE! 🙂❤️

Nah, you noticed? Lol You must be the first. But, you forgot to mention, she is super smart too! - i checked, she has an excellent education and articulate. John 3:16
@kentwilbourne996 Science and God ? Christians killed a lot of 'Science'
That’s why she’s called the Glucose Goddess….lol.
She's straight up fine as hell. Let's be honest please
This is a beautiful Lady inside and out 👏🌹💕
I learned so much from this intelligent, smart lady.
Her hacks have absolutely changed my life for better.
I am a massage therapist and I have had diabetic clients who have tested their blood sugar immediately post session, way down ….So I can attest to relaxation lowering blood sugar at least anecdotally
I’m a massage therapist
@@sherriwheeler9771 That’s a great thing to be! Our profession rocks
Jessie looks and sounds really healthy and smart. Great talk.
Great guest and very well done interview.
When she said to put some “ clothes on your carbs “ we can translate that in the kitchen :” pasta with boiled spinach or kale 🥬 or sweet peas 🫛 “ . To carbs add some greens 🥬.
It's not correct. To carbs eat some protein
It's crazy! And then if i stop eating the sugar it just calms down and disappears in a day or two
I mostly noticed this when i eat a lot of very sweet chocolate, but i didn't notice me having an allergy to cocoa or anything. At the same time, I'm not the type of person that enjoys the really sweet cakes so it's hard to hell from what exactly this reaction could come (besides sugar)
Enjoyed this guest. Very easy to listen to. Thanks!
thank u so much! i have always love eating and that made me lose weight super hard, tried a lot of diets and exercises along with it, but what made it possible was agoge diet. it changed my life. its always about the right diet for u
J'adore ton livre, Jessie ! Merci beaucoup ! ❤️📖
Elle est incroyable et dégage une telle énergie positive ! Je ne la connaissais pas, c'est quoi son livre si vous pouvez m'informer svp? Vraiment brillante, je suis conquise !
An incredible, intelligent beautiful lady giving unique healthy living advice.
God bless you. x
It's fascinating to listen to you guys talking about very important topics that everyone needs to understand how the sugar or glucose, fructose, and starchy foods affect our body. ❤
Would LOVE a kids movie made about the Glucose Goddess and the power of her knowledge to help ALL people live their best life. Thankyou ❤
I like the way she has that Ecstasy smile.
After hearing your tease about having Jessie on, I checked your channel every day (even though I have my notifications turned on) to see if she was on. I had seen her before with Dr. Hyman and was really looking forward to this talk. Thanks for having her on. Loved it. 😍
I saw her interview with Dr. Hyman as well. Very informative 👍🏼
How is this the first Genius Life video I have seen? Max, you are a really good interviewer/listener. The Glucose Goddess is a godsend. I am a cardiac operating room nurse and I love sharing healthy food hacks and videos with my patients to empower them for recovery. Diabetes is one of the most common comorbidities associated with CAD. I will definitely add this video to my arsenal. New sub too. Cheers.
Such a great conversation and chemistry. I purchased Glucose Revolution and just started to read it. Such good information and easy to understand and practice. Thank you.
Thought I was going crazy, making the same link to mental health.... Glad to know it's not just me
There are studies between the connection of our brain to our gut. Have a healthy gut and you'll have good mental health, the doctors involved in these studies said that our gut is our 2nd brain.
Thank you
You both are brilliant.
I have T2DM
and I recently became a Diabetic Educator .
Unfortunately I think Diabetes Education in UK is abit behind . I definitely going to incorporate some of what you have mentioned/ especially the protein breakfast .
I will come back and listen to this (in the middle of my weight work out). Can't wait 😁😁😁
Thank you for this conversation 🙏🏻. I am not diabetic therefore i can not have cgm. In the last year or so i really feel the glucose spikes to the point that after eating some foods i can not drive, i fall asleep. Grateful❤
You can probably get a cgm on line? Have an awesome day
😊
She looks like a photo from the 1960’s. Just young, natural, and happy.
My new Guru is Jessie
I have learnt a great deal from seeing your video, I have a organic veg green leaf and
beet root ginger linseed & fruit berries + keefer yogurt daily smoothie han exercise I have been trying to stop inflammation in my joints I have lots of pain however no medications to control it and my blood pressure has been a lot better. Thank you, Kevin Banks
Excellent talk and guest!!! I have a crush on Jessie!!
Thanks for your advice. I feel better now. I eat my meals in order.
I like sherry vinegar. Mostly the same as others. I have acid reflux. I use probiotics which help, I took 1tbsp vinegar in 12 oz of water tonight. Gut is quiet, no cravings. I went out to a very good restaurant with mediterranean food (vegetables, rice, yogurt, meat or falafel).
I know exactly what she is taking shout with de personalization. Extreme stress combined with running all the time; personal stress, work stress, I know this weird feeling. The hand example; I did they same thing. Great conversation. I’ve been doing some of the hacks. Looking forward to see the results!
It's incredible that this is actually how our parents taught us to eat and now it is a great revelation. So her crepe is actually called omelette.
Very intelligent lady - thank you!!
She is lovely and what a pleasure to listen to
I’m glad you had her on I’ve been wanting to catch one of her tox she’s very good I like her
Thank You 💖 She's Dynamite 🎉
Wonderful, helpful and her way of sharing her knowledge is super cute 🙏🏻✨🌹
I’m a type 1 diabetic and what you are teaching seems to be working for me right away so I’m so happy you wore it and are giving us type 1s the info. Thank you for all your research and sharing the results! I’ve been looking for something that can help my huge daily spikes and now I’ve found it! Bless you Goddess!! ❤
I like listening to food hacks that will help you stay healthy
Love this! thank you so much for interviewing this wonderful resource person Max! Looking up the glucose goddess now and will continue to follow her work. And my golly, this is such an eye opener, changes the way i understand about a lot of thing, and this interview is soooo light, you guys are so adorable, romantic undertones, for sure!!! you guys should really have a project together for sure!!!!
so useful Jessie, Max Lugavere. Thank you so much. That is so helpful for a diabetic patient. It is so urgent for a diabetic patients to know on Glucose spike and glycemic load. This video literally saved my life.
Just bought both of your books! 😊 thank you for this video and important information. Look forward to reading your work. I am on a weightloss journey and need to lose over 40 lbs. Have fatty liver and high cholesterol plus thyroid disease. This info will really help me suceeed in my goals.
Wow, i agree, I suffer from ptsd, my dissociation and anxiety gets so bad at work.
Changing my diet to whole foods instead of processed foods was life changing for good.
Anxiety levels are much less severe.
This is an answer to prayer
for me as well
Wow when you talked about your anxiety/panic attacks/visions I'm thinking repent for the kingdom of heaven is near! 😱 The fear of simply existing outside of God's will is excruciating, because he is love and to deny his love is to our own detriment. I have no idea who you are/what you believe but I believe what you are seeing is a wake up call. Thank you for all your knowledge and insight of how to be more healthy and your desire to share that blessing with others. God wills that all will know his mercy (sometimes translated, steadfast love) may you receive the peace that surpasses all understanding 💕 random, maybe, but this made me think of the song "trampoline"
God has given us the freedom to choose. Whom will you serve this day?
She is amazing!
I put my vinegar and water in a cute little scotch glass so I feel like I'm drinking a cute cocktail before my meals
Have you ever heard of shrubs? It's an old type of drink addition that if I understand correctly is basically infused vinegars.
So Cool! Thanks For The Idea!!!
😂👍🙋♀️
Great idea lol so doing this from now on 🥳
She is talking about putting it in a tall glass of water? Maybe to protect your teeth or have it slowly get to your gut,
I drink 0.3 ml apple cider vinegar with half squeezed lemon in glass of water...in the morning on empty stomach...slowly drinking ...go to work and around 10 drink little coffee with small amout of cream, drink a lot of water during the daY then come home around 17h and i don't feel hungry at all... amazing
Very good insight on glucose spikes and it’s effects. Very digestible information.
haha good pun.
Love Jessie and your channel. You do nice interviews.
Jessie melted my heart before her hacks melted my fats.
Great video thanks to both of you ❤ I learned so much.
Interesting! I have a glass of water with juice of half a lemon each morning. To protect your teeth my dentist says every time you drink or eat citrus stuff is a good idea to wash your mouth just with clear water. That's it. Never brush your teeth afterwards, but before you eat. On my veggies I'm use to put just olive oil. But I will start adding more often vinegar as well. The combo tastes good too!
Had to quit the acv since it hurt my stomach- going to lemon juice. Used a lot of water with it. Love vinegar olive oil in salad though.
Amazing, thanks Jessie. I'm french, I bought your book and love it. I cant say how it helps me. Also I have to say I'm impressed how good you speak english, here in France we're weird, we eat baguette and croissants and we also suck in foreign langages ! But we have a wonderfull country 😉
Wonderful
Mais votre cuisine est la meilleure: le fois gras, les fromages, les vins.
No, u don't.
Your country relies on Africa's resources for sustainance.
Let's hear u say same after francophone countries ALL cut France off.🤨
@@Tee-Star France will be just fine without Africa. The corrupt African elite on the other hand might struggle without western countries. Why aren't you mad at them ? they are literally stealing from their own countrymen and women 🙄
@@Tee-Star. And Africa relies on subsidies from France. Same: let’s see how Africa survives if France cuts off all the free money they give.
Valuable info, and easy to understand and practice.
Yes she is sooooo pretty ❤
I use my cast iron pan to cook egg omelets with no sticking (but my pan is well seasoned).
How do you get your cast iron pans well seasoned?
@@DonnaOrgan1I use avocado oil or butter when I cook (never use high temps). A little oil or butter when cooking and food will not stick.
thank you so much Jessie
Everybody doesnt know. I would say 10% of the population knows, at least here in the US. I would say how do you get this message out to the "no clue people" I imaging the first conversations are not to in depth. People really dont know it shocks me! I Just found you Glucose Goddess keep sharing the news!
Ya'll can have your vinegar, i'll just have water thanks.
Also, I suffered extreme gerd and vinegar was mentioned as a remedy, I tried it for a while but switched to water and got the same if not better results. No more gerd after improved diet, exercise etc.
I agree. My husband thrives on taking ACV, I do not. We all need to know our unique needs and respect them.
In Hungary every salad has a vinegar dressing and pickled beets are huge. They rarely eat a meal without it.
I have listened to dozens of experts on the subject. Ihave heard some who have presnted certain aspects of this subject
really really well..but jessie is really
good. I've learnt quite a lot and they
work. I'm benifitting from the combined
information and expertise of them all.
I give her an A+

I am grateful for all this knowledge she has shared. I’ve got the recipe book and her main book
See all Dr Shawn Baker videos
See Dr Chris Knobbe MD video on seed oils
Vitamin B3 (niacin) research it for the red skin
Meat does not cause diabetes but you did mention what causes all dis ease - trauma.
I did carnival to get rid of rosacea, cured depression, and lost weight.
Carnival?
This is an awesome video! I find it very helpful. I am a NMP and i have suggested this diet rules in the past to many of my patients with lots of success...For me was very natural to know about this, because growing in Europe we were thought to eat this way. And by the way Mediterranean diet has been clarified as a healthy diet in many studies and discussions, probably because this is part of the way people eat in the Mediterranean regions.
I was listening to Raw fodists in my 20’s David Avocado Wolfe. He was good once now nah. But this lady is really good!
Nice to hear that I'm not the only person that has thought that about avocado Wolfe...😢
