The lighting system error is coming from a bad FRM module located behind the kick panel in driver side footwell (OBD2 port area). These cars are known to have issues with the FRM modules software corrupting when the battery dies or is disconnected. The only fix is to replace the module with a used one (make sure you get FRM v3, not FRM2). If you're lucky, BMW may still replace it under warranty since this was a common issue, but you'll have to reach out to a dealer to see if this is still an option. I was lucky enough to have BMW replace mine for free, which means it got upgraded software not prone to the same low battery corruption issue. If you buy a used one, there is no guarantee you wont run into this again. Hope this helps some poor sap on here. 😜
I have the exact same car with more options. These are great cars and all that work and money you put into it, I wouldn’t sell it and just enjoy it. No car compares to this one in that price range.
That gap in the headrests where you said if you could put your finger in the gap, it’s been engaged is not true. You could move the headrest back-and-forth, leaving a gap in there or removing the gap depending on where you have it at.
Great video! Do you have a fix for the yellow PSI light? Tpms module or rdc related? Thank you. I have the exact same three lights on my e90 and I really would like to get rid of them
Unfortunately these cars corrupt frm module when battery disconnected, your lights, head lights , blinkers won't work. You need to have frm repaired. You created another problem by disconnecting the battrey.
Hello Corey, can you send me a link to the Bluetooth code reader you have? I have a 2011 BMW 328i that I have to replace the driver side headrest and need to reset the codes as well. Thank you, much appreciated.
This is what I have but you can get similar on Amazon much cheaper www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/code-reader/p/innova-quicklink-obdii-wireless-tool/454410_0_0
I just replaced the battery in my 330i and as soon as it started the passenger restraint and seatbelt light stayed on. What could this be? There was an assortment of lights on that eventually went away but the passenger restraint light stayed on
Hi guys, I have problem with my E90 06 330i. Sometimes I got this 2 lights and my fuel gauge are going crazy, it’s moving up and down and I notice that when I got this light my car goes worse than normal. I don’t have codes from airbag and seatbelts or any check engine light. Any ideas guys where I have to look for the case?

You are right, I bought a used FRM module and fixed it.

I sold it right after I fixed it. It was a nice car though.

Unfortunately I don’t have a fix for the TPMS light off hand. Have you tried to read the codes for it to see what it says?
Which Bluetooth scanner are you using?
Can you tell me what scanner you ordered. I have that headrest problem because I remove bolts and let the seat fall back activated headrest

You might have loosened the BST terminal on the positive side of the battery, I think that’s what it’s called ?
