When Claire said she was getting her own channel, this was EXACTLY the kind of content I was hoping for. not only are we learning about different ways to prepare the same food, we're learning where the food comes from, we're getting Claire's personality and we're getting a more relaxed environment than during the Gourmet Makes shoots. I have enjoyed seeing how the recipes from the book bake up, but seeing a more free-form video like this is pure joy. Thanks to Claire and the team for making us smile and teaching us things along the way
one thing i love about claire is how real she is, like when she says things like "i could put more pepper but i don't feel like using the grinder anymore". it's great! makes things feel real and not like....overly polished and sanitized, if that makes sense.
WONDERFUL new series! Love seeing where they came from and then an episode of you cooking with the item we learned about!! Also, shoutout to the Giraffe living in your parents' yard! haha.
Claire and Nigella collaborating would be a dream to witness. I grew up watching Nigella's Show and I spent my college years watching bon appetite and falling in love with Claire's personality and recipes. P.S. I recently made Claire's Pecan Brown Butter Brittle Cookies and it's possibly the best thing I have eaten, it's so much better than a good ole chocolate chip. It's tender yet chewy and crispy, salty sweet nutty buttery and absolutely delicious.
In Thailand “hoi tod” or fried oysters pancakes are super popular and inexpensive… eaten with bean sprouts for crunch and a sweet and sour sauce for a condiment. Must try! 😊
I always love seeing the cultural difference. I've never eaten oysters smaller than the "frying size" oysters because that's just how Cantonese people eat them. I've also always eaten them steamed and seasoned with soy sauce & garlic+scallions bloomed in hot oil.
Claire I love you. Your videos bring me so much comfort and i get so happy whenever you post, I dont even know how to cook nor bake but its an absolute joy of mine seeing someone make such yummy lovely plates. I’m sending you so much love all the way from the Middle East (Saudi Arabia). Also thank you for a 30 minute long video it was so needed right now
hearing Claire say 'aperitif' and expressing her love for tartar sauce and the awesomeness of Nigella Lawson [I'm so hoping there will be a Claire/Nigella collab one day] really made my day and ofcourse make me ❤ Claire even more.....
Great video, Claire and team! It's funny, my parents also have awful knives- actually, awful kitchen everything. I've been trying to get them kitchen gear for each holiday and birthday, but like you, it's more of a gift for myself. 🤣 Please, please, please make a Nigella collab happen!
I’m loving Claire waxing lyrical over Tartare Sauce. Just this afternoon I had a craving for homemade tartare sauce on toast, and thought, as I was scarfing it down, “am I weird?” Well, I guess not!
A great video as always! I just had a thought at the end when you mentioned mixing it up with the videos - I would LOVE to see a video about your process of developing a recipe. Like, from initial idea, all the different tests you do and how you decide when it's finished. An more like an extended vlog form, not just a sit down explanantion.
Was asked to make this and after frustration reading various websites, it's invaluableseeing the consistencyand what it's supposed to be like. We had 10 year aged sherry vinegar so used that instead of the noticeably sharper standard RWV. Cheers Claire
I would love to see Claire and Nigella off in the UK on Nigella's turf, up in the Highlands or making a cheeky cream tea, or some wild Nigella-style re-imagining of something continental. Or the other way, with Nigella in upstate NY. The duo sounds fabulous.
I also love old bay. But also, try Shorelunch. So good. It's meant to use in it's own but I mix finely crushed panko and the shore lunch and it's so good
I grew up near New Orleans, and as a kid I would shuck oysters with my dad on the back porch. He would make his homemade cocktail sauce - which was way spicier than I had any business eating at age 8 - and we would sit out there for what felt like forever. I still love raw oysters but living in the Midwest it's not as easy to get good ones.
I love watching Claire make amazing desserts and dishes, but I’m not a fan of oysters. I have a hard time getting past the slimy texture. But I do have to say tartar sauce is so incredibly delicious that when it’s put on even the most basic of foods it brings the flavor to the next level! P

Claire your videos are a breath of fresh air during a stressful week - 30 minutes of escape from reality. Keep doing what you’re doing girl
Agree. For me it has nothing to do with the receipt hahaha
30:39 good to see your editing crew has a great sense of humor.
My wife literally gasped lmao
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol I audibly said WHAT THE FUCK LOL
@@stevensonjc21 l looked away for a second and looked back at the screen thinking I had finally lost my mind💀
I'm so excited no one has said the thing because I'm currently not there yet.
30 minutes of Claire? Hallelujah
I KNOW!

This was one of my favorite episodes, can’t wait for more in this format
My tummy literally doing backflips watching Claire eat those fried oysters. Those look so good! And the tartar sauce combo sounds heavenly.
WONDERFUL new series! Love seeing where they came from and then an episode of you cooking with the item we learned about!! Also, shoutout to the Giraffe living in your parents' yard! haha.

I agree!! It would be a fun collab

The giraffe in the background killed me 😂. The food looked delicious per usual ❤

Loved this! Makes me want to try oysters again. Loved the giraffe!!! 😂
Those crazy Cape Cod giraffes 😂
That scared the living hell out of me
Taking me back to the BA Thanksgiving episode at your moms place. What better times they were. Food looks great, Claire.
Just when I thought my admiration for Claire has reached it's peak it turns out she's also a tartar sauce fanatic - awesome 😁!
hearing Claire say 'aperitif' and expressing her love for tartar sauce and the awesomeness of Nigella Lawson [I'm so hoping there will be a Claire/Nigella collab one day] really made my day and ofcourse make me ❤ Claire even more.....
this was so lovely to watch so calm and cute, cool cooking and listening to claire’s stories
Those fried oysters look so good!
I love tartar sauce too.
Omg, Claire - my idol mentioning Nigella Lawson - my idol from childhood ❤❤❤
Love Claire's sincerity and recipes. I'm a savory person so I appreciate when she fits those in among the sweet treats.
Claire excels at Freezer Tetrus. And if you hate sweet pickles, use a crunchy dill, also diced. Yum.
Could not love these Cape episodes more!!
i've never had oysters and they never seemed appealing to me, but seeing Claire's face when she eats them makes me want to try 😁
I haven’t been able to visit the east coast for REAL fried clams or oysters in years - thank you for letting me live vicariously through this video!!
The tartar sauce love is so validating. I absolutely LOVE making my own but something else it's delicious with is fried chicken!
Great video, Claire and team! It's funny, my parents also have awful knives- actually, awful kitchen everything. I've been trying to get them kitchen gear for each holiday and birthday, but like you, it's more of a gift for myself. 🤣 Please, please, please make a Nigella collab happen!

21:11 now we need a blue crab farming/crab cake series!!
This series has been so much fun! Really loved it 🤍
I really love this series!
Oysters are one of my favorite foods! I will say I haven’t found a farmed oyster that rivals a wild one! Lovely recipes! ❤ 🦪
Love these cape cod episodes! What about a mushroom foraging episode? Mm
That first oyster Claire made was literal oyster perfection. The moment that mignonette went on I was like 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
What a great two part episode!!! ❤
Was asked to make this and after frustration reading various websites, it's invaluableseeing the consistencyand what it's supposed to be like. We had 10 year aged sherry vinegar so used that instead of the noticeably sharper standard RWV. Cheers Claire
I haven't had oysters since I was a kid (and thought they were gross) but this has my mouth watering. It might be time for me to try oysters again!
Oh my God mouthwatering Oysters!!!! MMMMMMMMmmmmmmm! Love it!Thank you Claire!
the breading was so satisfying to watch!
Tarter sauce is a great condiment !
I also eat capers on their own and tartar sauce is my fave. My fave pasta is chicken piccata (shocker!)
I would love to see Claire and Nigella off in the UK on Nigella's turf, up in the Highlands or making a cheeky cream tea, or some wild Nigella-style re-imagining of something continental. Or the other way, with Nigella in upstate NY. The duo sounds fabulous.
Nigella made me literally fall in love with food & eating when I was a kid. I still watch her show whenever I need a dose of food pawrn.
We NEED that Claire+Nigella content in our lives!! 11:25
claire is so good at describing the flavors i can almost taste it 😭😭
I love that even after all of the development this channel has had in almost three years, the theme song & animation is still the same ❤
I love fried oysters i think im gonna use thus recipe and prepare then today!
I also love old bay. But also, try Shorelunch. So good. It's meant to use in it's own but I mix finely crushed panko and the shore lunch and it's so good
love this style
I didn’t want this video to end :’) I wish I could’ve enjoyed those oysters with y’all, they looked amazing
Happy belated birthday Claire ❤🎉🙏🏾

I love cape cod Claire
I grew up near New Orleans, and as a kid I would shuck oysters with my dad on the back porch. Your previous video inspired me to try raw oysters...where I quickly discovered it's not a dish for me! I'll have to try these fried ones soon.
I'm allergic to oysters but you got me salivating too! They look delicious!!
I love field work episodes!
As a Marylander, knowing Claire likes Old Bay AND blue crabs makes me so happy 😂❤️
Looking forward to more out of kitchen adventures!
Love the giraffe!❤
In February, I had my first ever raw oyster at the Grand Central Oyster Bar!
I love that claire eats what she makes- but also that random giraffe!
Id definitely try a fried oyster 🦪 before a regular one lol
They look delicious 😋🤤
for some reason that giraffe scared the crap out of me 😭😂🍿 keep it coming
I have to have fried oysters!😋😋😋

Claire says This Is An Appropriate Amount Of Tartar Sauce For Just Her! Everyone Else Needs To Get Their Own.😂😂🥰💖
What's with the giraffe at 30:39? Brillant episode by the way. Thank you.
Blessed these look so good yum 😋
Love it!
