@@p1motorcarsltd don't think you're thinking about the g80. You can't prefer a faster car. It either is or isn't. No subjectivity about it. The first time I have seen a review from this guy. Really impressed. He has got the PH profile down to a tee. It’s evident he can pedal a car well, which is important to see when trying to trust the information spoken. All in all, a fantastic review or a clearly significant car for Alfa Romeo.
Congratulations on an amazing video ! Great car and great driving skills. I drive a Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce with Q4 and 280Bhp so I can only imagine what this beast looks like to drive
Sam is the best automotive journalist around at the moment, such detailed, objective, descriptive communication, while still expressing the sheer fun of driving this thing. The GTA sounds like one of the best drivers cars on sale at the moment too. Great Video.
Great video on a fantastic road. Alfa Romeo has created the most sexy and desirable sport saloon. The Giulia GTA / GTAm are amazing. Forget all the German cars, there is so much better right now with the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and Giulia Quadrifoglio.
Great review, you can see the concentration on your face as you push the car. Proper spirited driving like i'd expect from the quality motoring journos out there, well done! As always I envy the enriched job!
A couple of points which Petrol Ped mentioned in his Goodwood video. The engine has not only had an ecu map change, but internal work done to the engine to take the power higher up in the rev range. And it has a flat floorpan from front to rear, increasing airflow to the rear diffusers (which the Guilia Qaudrifoglio doesn't have).
@@darkpsy19 it is being discontinued because it won’t work for the future electric/hybrid models coming. The new Giulia will be in the STLA large platform which is basically a reworked Giorgio platform.
Wtf, how is that a 4 door sports car when it has no back seats? 😂 It's only a 4 door technically, on paper. Why would you want useless doors that only add weight?
watching a few reviews, nobody has made mention that the increased power is not a simple ecu tune, that's easy, there is a complete revision of components and in particular lubrication and cooling to guarantee a reliable power unit. The engine is tunable to way over 600hp if needed. It's all down to kw/kg that is manageable. Power is not everything for a focused performance machine This is special well done Alfa.
This project shows what the Giorgio platform is really capable of. Superbe suspensions comfortable yet providing lots of lateral grip and a very sharp steering. It's a shame she's overlooked by most people as an old fiat shitbox because she isn't.
Excellent review. Lot's of detail and nuance about what the car feels like to drive quickly. Can we please have more reviews from this guy (and less from Dan Prosser).
What’s the name of this presenter? He’s really bloody good. Great driving, and impressive that he could speak in such depth about the dynamic ability of the car whilst giving it some. Very impressed.
Here in the states we would call it a Pep-Boys special. Because it has a bunch of carbon fibre bits tacked on. It's unfortunate that's it's a sedan as well. It means it's going to be heavy. Alfa doesn't make a coupe version and that is sad. Imagine this as a coupe with perhaps 200 lbs less weight. That would be awesome.
@@thomasferrarojr.9772 I know, I'm an engineer. However, several reviewers said that it is also comfortable on the road, but looking at how bumpy it is on the track I don't think you can have a comfortable ride on this car.
It has stiffer spring rates but the dampening calibration is better so it actually soaks up bumps better and doesn’t bounce quite as much. Alfissimo recently came out with a tune the recalibrates the QV suspension to be the same as the GTA. He says it’s a fantastic improvement in both ride and handling ability. You have to remember this guy is driving at 10/10th on a bumpy back road with tons of elevation changes. Of course it is going to look like that lol.

That s some very brisk driving, on those roads..very impressed both by the car and the driver! Love the colour..
