Awesome looking Losi. Great upgrades. The light bar looks real nice. The price of the A-Arms seems a bit steep but they sure look nice. I wish I was still working and had the funds to modify an RC to this extreme. Absolutely amazing build. 👍🏆
1st, I went with the proline badlands because I wanted a harder compound tire after I tore the stock tires in half within the first 20min. I was running a max5, castle 2028 and SMC 4S 90C LIPOS stock tires couldn't handle it. 2nd, The aluminum looks great BUT I'LL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN LOL. I did the same then clipped a tree at full throttle and since the A-arms didn't break everything they were attached to did and bent the chassis AND the A-arm bent too. Cost me a ton to get it back on the road. Some of the plastic is better since it will break without taking everything around it with it. 3rd, a better lipo for good price are the SMC lipos or the lectron pros.
never seen some people do this bad ass upgrades because they don't appreciate their buggy just to make some fun whatever parts are broke and change it not actually practical not like this very happy to see this buggy was able to perform more enjoy the hobby man 👌🏻
Very nice! - I got mine day one of its release. I did a few aluminum upgrades - hubs, chassis braces, Hot Racing Steering Hub, etc but no arms. I go right into upgrading the ESC, Servo & Motor first and foremost. Castle 2028 800kv , HiTek 845D with 700 oz / inch @8.4v & a hobby wing Max5. Its absolutely a demon in the dirt with Proline MX43 Badlands.
That is one good looking rig.. I was thinking of getting the 5b just for the kit build.but with the straight through drive of the dbxl and with the alloy upgrades..I think this looks the part..looking forward to the rest of your builds x2..
Bought the same parts, extended arm kit and aluminum LOSI carriers Nd knuckles. Having trouble with installing the sway bar mount and front carriers, won’t fit. Did you have to modify arms or make it fit?
Nice build brother 👌 good to see you pulled the trigger on not one but two of these beasts 🤘😂 liked and subbed 👊👍 I did look at the flm extended arm kit but like you say they're no good for hard bashing which is all i do with mine and exactly why i didn't bother, plastic parts are much more forgiving and a darn sight cheaper when it break's! The only flm parts i have is the forever cvd kit 💪👍 and the proline mx43 badlands for more air control and ground clearance the stock wheels are okay on road but i hardly ever run it on road lol.........look forward to seeing a running video dude 👌👍
Much Love brother :) Thank you for stopping by mate, means a lot to me. I HAD to get TWO of these beasts lol Love the electric concept, this is new territory for me hahaha Thanks again brother
Very sweet buggy Man! I want to do the FLM arms etc to my MTXL. My only concern is if something happens to the dogbones or cv shaft. Where to get replacement parts? Other than that I think it is a great product. Any updates on these two projects you have going on?
Thanks dude! DDM has a replacement kit for the FLM a-arms, I got a few, their only $8.00 bucks each. I also got another brand new set coming, incase I crash my Rig I'll have replacements available at hand. I'll make a video tomorrow with my two buggies thoguh :) But long story short I can only afford to order parts once per month so every second paycheck lol And I love making vids with new content such as new parts etc. Thanks for the support brother! How is your bugy running? That Max 5 holding up okay? Cheers dude :)
@@markamd1 max5 has been an awesome upgrade. Oh and the FLM replacement shafts at ddm, guess I should have researched a little more. Thanks for the info. Gonna get them for sure
Thank you Richard! This stand was made by Team Chase and was available on the DDM website. It's a discontinued gem now...hard to find as I'm looking for another one of these myself lol Thank you so much for stopping by
Hey man, thank you so much! Negative, nobody makes that in alloy, I've been looking everywhere myself lol I have a suspicion that the Gas powered top plate version might fit with a slight modification, there are tons of companies out that that make the gas version top plate in alloy. Once I'm done with my build I'll order the alloy gas powered version top plate and will start messing around lol it should fit with a little grinding and cutting. If you find one out there please let me know! :)
Did you have any problems attaching the sway bar mounts to the a arms? I can’t seem to get mine to fit and it seems to be 0.5mm too thick to slide in. The shock ends slide in perfectly. Let me know if you had that issue. Thanks!
are you talking about the little "ball" piece that clips into the sway bar rod? If yes, just use pliyers and gently apply force until the balljoint clips in, i hope that's what you mean.
@@markamd1 yes, it’s the ball piece that is attached to the rod and has a screw holding it in after insertion.. I tried forcing it in to the A arm slot but it is clearly 0.5mm thicker than the opening?
The FLM kit comes with extended pushrods, all in one kit. To answer your question, YES you will need exdended pushrods which are included in the FLM kit. Cheers mate :)
I did see the second version and I'm not very impressed, they should have upgraded the ESC, that 160amp esc is just not enough to propel this beast in a proper reliable way. Other than the esc I think it's an amazing rig. Thanks for stopping by mate and for commenting :)
YES! Brilliant idea to do so, ti's why did it with mine :) You'll have more clearance and avoid the Chassis "Slap" every time you will land from a jump.
Thanks for watching mate! I would not compare Traxxas with Losi, two completely different RC companies, two completely different worlds of RC models, and I would never compare the two... Losi for sure, much higher quality and it's a completely different world of RC.
I’d honestly have to say Lodi is better than Traxxas. Coming from someone who owns 9 Traxxas rigs and 5 losi rigs including multiple of their 5th scales like the 5T and 5B!😀

Hey brotha, thank you for watching & commenting. I haven't had the pleasure to deal with their customer service yet, but this is the first time I hear any sort of feedback on their costumer service, thank you for that mate. I agree with you man, alloy builds are expensive and if a crash occurs those shiny beautiful parts are pretty much garbage, agreed. However, I love alloy lol addicted to the look. I've had good luck with alloy parts in the past, I don't bash my rigs to hard anyway lol Thanks for the head up bro
How do you remove the arms? I see there are covers that cover the arm pins on each end. Do I use a plier to pull them off to remove the arm pins? I just got the fast one extended arms and am excited to install them but stuck at how to remove the arms. Thank you!!
This is a beautiful machine 👍🏼
Thank you, I really appreciate it :) Warm greetings from Canada.

Big money in that rc...just the upgrades cost more than the buggy. Nice build.!!

Hi,
Very grateful to you. Did you ever run 2 full battery pack back to back in hot weather without damaging the battery?

Beautiful build bro WOW!!!! 😀. Can i ask what kind of stand is that? Where can i get one for mine?
Thank you mate :) This stand is now discontinued, it's a Full Force RC 5th scale stand that was available on DDM's website years ago. cheers dude
Dang and I was about to ask the same question....lol
😂
where you got the suspension arms.
Any more footage of this rig

Hi,
Do you know the part number for the bolt connecting the rear shock to the lower arm please?
Thank you
THIS IS A NEWBIE QUESTION BUT WHERE DID YOU GET THE WORK STAND FOR THE DBXL
Hey Mike. The stand was made by TNT RACING I purchased this about 10 years ago from DDM, I don't think they have made these stands for years now.
Let me ask you a question. I have DBXL-GAS, can I convert it by electric power?
yes, of course. This is possible
do you need to use the stock plastic rod ends? or need to buy different rod ends sizes? thanks
The FLM kit comes with extended pushrods, all in one kit. To answer your question, YES you will need exdended pushrods which are included in the FLM kit. Cheers mate :)
Hi
Did you change smthg to put the sway bars back in place ?
Im struggling with it
Seems to straight
Thanks
Where did you get the car stand?
How are the arms holding up
Does the fid parts make the car heavier
Yes...about %15percent more weight.
Hey did you see the second version? If you did what do you think

Dude your channel is funny
Would the dbxle chassis be able to be converted to a gas buggy?
hi brother, did u change the shock tower for the dbxle?do have the part number.thanks!and what servo link rod u using?
What brand for the front and rear hub carriers and steering knuckles?
Those are all OEM Losi 7071T alloy parts. Thanks for checking out the video. I have both rigs assembled and running, just need to make a video on it
@@markamd1 oh no way. They should fit the new 2.0 version, right?
@@markamd1 Do you recommend a place on where to get the OEM losi hub carriers and knuckles?
@P Nguyen yup! The parts are available on www.losi.com
And yes, they will fit the 2.0
@P Nguyen if you look at the Description of the video, i listed the website and part numbers.
No cooling fan on motor ?
I’m very interested in getting this kit.. I’m looking to raise my gas DBXL do you think this kit would be a good idea?
YES! Brilliant idea to do so, ti's why did it with mine :) You'll have more clearance and avoid the Chassis "Slap" every time you will land from a jump.
