I’ll just force myself to write until I literally fall asleep with headphones in and the song on repeat thinking of the song, dream about WRITING LYRICS. And I mean vividly dreaming about it. And I’ll even wake up with new ideas. At work- headphone in thinking of lyrics and syllables. Driving anywhere - playing the song thinking of lyrics or melodies. Pooping - best ideas come here. All day every day until it’s done. That note pad is up 95% of the time until it’s done. And once it is done, revise revise revise.

I think you're onto something with this. This reminds me of the master key meditation thing(can't fully remember what its actually called) basically you do the same with invisioning yourself but as your future self that you want to be, you envision what you wanna become and just feel the feelings of what you would feel if you were the better future self. Yoooo this is mad game fr, When I write lyrics I noticed when I try to make good lyrics or what I think sounds nice I draw a blank, then I take a step back and come back to the beat later I get something that flows. And it’s always something I like.

A possible tip
Try doing it backwards think of lyrics then make the beat this is what i do because if your gonna have them the lyrics are a big part of the song and i notice sometimes people tend to make the lyrics less authentic or too forced due to trying to keep up with the beat or make the tone of the song meet the beat instead of trying to get your point or purpose across i know this method does not work for all but it works for me the melody comes with practiceing the lyrics i see myself performing it and how i deliver it in my head is how i try to match the melody and the mood

Beautiful. My advice would be not to stop just because "you aren't good enough". Just finish the song. If you do, you will be a song away from making the music you really want. Also, if you are making rage music, trap, etc you really do not need to push yourself too much when it comes to lyrics. Just believe the shit you be saying. Confidence will make your lyrics sound good. Feel the music, even if you are writing random ass lyrics with no meaning. Look at all these guys talking about nothing, but making dope ass shit. Also pay attention to your mix. If your vocals aren't mixed well, no wonder why you dont like your song!

If you write lyrics or do music my big thing is to enjoy even if its trash or unperfect get the flow first the rhythm and then go back to it to write real lyrics that gonna fit you or your state of mind thats what i always do

I used to get a shit ton of views on my songs and now the algorithm hates me and I don’t get any video impressions anymore I don’t know what to do just wait it out and keep going?
Your problem is you are setting yourself up for failure from the start, you need to enjoy the process and have fun. Write whatever comes to your mind and keep going, what you will realize is that you come up with ideas on the fly and you keep bouncing off of these as you go along. Once everything is finished you can start adjusting/revising, dont do it during the process, it will get harder and harder.

I did this once offhandedly and it made trying later a little easier cuz I was just picking out rhymes and building around them . But that was once, haven’t since

I find writing lines down even if I don’t use them or even if it’s the most random thing allows me to keep up with the craft but everyone’s different 💯
