Subbed as soon as I heard Black history month special and Pat McGrath. Love that people of color are finally being recognized for their efforts in fashion. When I first heard of Pat McGrath I immediately pictured a white woman in my head which is sad that by default I hear "high fashion makeup artist" I think "white". I mean designers have been "borrowing" ahemSTEALINGahem from Black culture since forever and it's about time POC are being respected behind the scenes and not just as the token Black model.

I ❤Pat McGrath!!! One of the few true makeup ARTISTS in the industry. I think she singlehandedly picked up the makeup revolutionary genius torch left by Kevyn Aucoin's passing (yes I went to high school in the 90s, sue me). I wish that, as with Aucoin, we could also get a retrospective of her best looks with her commentary and inspiration behind them. I know no one reads actual books anymore (though your fashion books vid gave me hope) so I'm stumped on what the format should be...Anyway, thanks for showing your respect to mother 😘

I felt weird for not using tons of different brushes and beauty blenders for makeup like beauty gurus do (i literally own three brushes) But its honestly a way for companies to make money. Hands are as good if not better than all this extra crap
