  • These clippers were dropped so i basically adjust the tension arms and reseat the blade bracket. The black outliner needed the arm adjust away from the field for being too close and making noise. Keep your clippers running at 100% because that is your only option. If you use me. Enjoy. Keep it sharp and keep it running. Have a great day.

    My name is Nick George with Clouds Diamond Sharpening. I sharpen on a diamond sharpening wheel (grandpa made the wheels shape and figured out how to use the diamond process. that's so fine at 1500 diamond grit, that polishes your blade sharp. I fix any clippers that have parts available. I can sharpen any blade or scissor that can come apart. I sharpen convex, semi convex, chunkers, thinning, fabric, surgical, and little scissor at a fair price. Check it out on my website WWW.diamondedge2015.com

    Thanks Man, Saved me $70, who knew it was a simple screw adjustment in the inside of the Gtx Clippers. It was just the middle screw now they work like they just came out of the box.

    Hey i have a question... i dropped mines a few months ago, and i noticed that the arm isnt centered in the middle anymore and the bkade is running off the side some... what should be done.. also i hae a pair that is very weak and the blade tends to be still at times while still running whaT do you advise?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  5 лет назад +1

      @woody da barber Hello. Well it not being centered in not a big deal if the cutter blade doesn't hang off the comb blade. But the lower power is bc you bent the blade mount. You can either bend it back (which I don't recommend bc you don't know where it should be) or you can try to adjust the tension spring and try to get the ball of the arm into the middle of the cutter blade. Then last option is send it to me and I'll fix it.

      Cloud's Diamond Sharpening How do you center it, if the center blade DOES hang off the comb blade. Today, I noticed that with my T-Outliner.

    How did you get the cutting blade to travel to each side of the blade at the end of the video? Have the same problem , cut good right and left of blade but not the middle

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  4 года назад

      If it's not cutting in the middle, either the blade needs to be sharpened correctly and/or there's a tension issue.

      Hi. it depends on the sharpener and how many heads you cut and if you use oil. there is no set time they should last.

    Why is there a gap between the hair guard and the blade? It's still there after you moved the hair guard up.

    • @josebatista3529
      @josebatista3529 8 лет назад

      I ask because I switched the housing on my outliner from gray to black. It has a gap with the new housing on it. They have never been dropped or damaged. The tension is still factory set. Only changed housing. Works just as it should. Any ideas?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  8 лет назад

      +jose batista How close do you want it? The blade has to move. Hair will get in it no matter what you do. If it runs good, why mess with it? The clippers job is to cut hair, if it does that. The only thing you can do is dismount the field and armature from the housing. Then hit the the case brass inserts into the housing. but i don't recommend that because you'll have to adjust the armature then. Good luck, have a great day.

      +Cloud's Diamond Sharpening thanks for the relply. I know there has to be a gap in order for the blade to move. I was asking because there was a bigger gap in my outliners after I switched housings. I just wanted to know if there was a reason such as different molds or not sitting right. Great video by the way.

      +jose batista Oh i thought you meant mine was too far apart. HAHA. yes, at some point they switched housing from flat to having a little lip for the housing to seat better together. But i wouldn't worry about it too much, if it's not affecting the cutting. You just might need to clean sooner than if it was closer. I'm glad I can help. Have a great day.

    Will using a pair of Pliers damage the Tension Spring? Just want to be safe than sorry.

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  6 лет назад

      joecool97 hello. Not if you only bend it a little. But not recommend. It's better to move the blade if it's not to bent.

      Cloud's Diamond Sharpening Thank You so much! I just got a pair of trimmers fix with a new Tension Spring. All I do was my move the screw for the Tension and made it slightly about center.

    I have the gtx brand new and i never did a proper line from the begining and i tried adjust them after i watched youtube videos and i broke the screws and the tension spring so i ordered new tension spring and screw but seems to me that is to complicated when you buy a new trimmer witch everybody says is the best ,should work from factory setings why you should adjust them not everybody has skills and i payd 70£ for it i feel like a fool

      +Maryo Jarkone I'm sorry you are having trouble. I can fix them but I will have to charge. I recommend sending back to Andis for warranty because it should be free. A Lot of barbers would buy them and get them sharpened out of the package. But you should not have too.

    how do you know how much to bend the tension spring?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  8 лет назад

      +Quinton “Qu3 da Barber” Hall Look at a new spring. The spring has to hit the middle of the cutter blade with about a pound of pressure on the blade.

    why cant you use string to see if its cutting

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  8 лет назад +1

      +33craigcarter i dont use string because its a trimming blade. The teeth are to small and could damage the cutter on the blade.
