Yes you have to change jets on dragonfly dg. Jet white gas and AUTO motive and dk jet for jet fuel deasall and kerosene aka paraffin in UK

IIRC what we call kerosene on this side of the pond you call paraffin. If you get kero from a pump it'll be a little dirtier, but the stuff you get for burning in stoves and heaters is essentially the same as far as I'm aware.

There are a couple of different grades of refinement purity....typical "household use" kerosene is referred to as K1....made commonplace in the 1870's USA by John D. Rockefeller (Standard Oil). Lamps, stoves, heaters....all the same stuff. Then there are higher quality refinements like JP3 (jet fuel).

Great video, this is the comparison I've been looking for.
Does the XGK feel substantially heavier than the dragonfly?
I've read comments about it being heavy but the website makes it seem like they are nearly the same weight.

Not much in it to worry about Daris

People get confused. The XGK is "expedition" ...Dragonfly more "backpacking". XGK around 13oz, Dragonfly about an ounce heavier (just over 14oz)....Then the Whisperlight/International/Universal weigh in closer to 11oz...I use them in precisely that order...Expedition (basecamp group kitchen larger pots etc.), If you need to melt a big pile of snow or purify water for a group...this is your tool. Much less controllable than the Dragonfly. Dragonfly is no less capable but more finesse and less brute force. Great for Hiking/Kayaking/Camping, the Whisperlight for Light Camping etc....

Hi. What fuel have you used? Can it work with alcohol? Great review. Well done. 👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻

it cannot without nozzle jet modification. And I notice that the seals are quickly damaged when I use alcohol for only a week.
without good seals, the stove can be losing pressure and leak, expose to safety risks.

It looks like that Bernie dog silencer makes the flames hit the supports possibly softening them over time.
