You have changed me from becoming a person who got excited about makeup videos to now somebody who gets excited about new sunscreen videos!😂 I finally picked up the Neutrogena mineral tinted sunscreen at Target and I can't wait to use it! Love you and your videos❤
🙋🏻♀️ Ditto! I’m on a girls trip right now with my friends and they’re all like, “YOU DIDN’T BRING ANY MAKEUP?!” Nope. But, look at my 6 sunscreens. 😂😂😂
The Black Girl Sunscreen Kids SPF 50 is amazing and a holy Grail for me! One of the only American sunscreens I enjoy wearing and doesn't sting my eyes. I can't wait to try the bondi sands when I eventually use up the dozen sunscreens I have.
I’ve used the Australian gold tinted face sunscreen for a year. For me it behaves like a bb cream. I LOVE it. I actually stopped wearing foundation because this is sufficient for light coverage. It’s moisturizing, not too matte and not too shiny. I can’t recommend it enough. Update! I tried 3 more tinted face sunscreens (all drugstore) this summer for melasma. Hawaiian tropic tinted mineral sunscreen isn’t too shabby! It blends nicely. Beware it is scented but that hasn’t bothered my skin. I tried Eurecin too, the tinted mineral face, and unfortunately it’s not my fav. It’s very orange so it doesn’t work well for pale skin. It also stained the collars of my white clothes, so make sure to have a stain remover handy if you try that one. It didn’t stay smooth on my face like some of the others I’ve tried. We just went to Florida and I used (1) Eurecin spf 50 with hylauronic acid on my body the entire trip. I LOVE IT!!!! Fav body chemical sunscreen this summer. Used (2) la roche-posay spf 100 (found on clearance at target a while back) and loved it too! Even used it on my face and it did not sting or burn at all. The (3) yellow beach neutrogena spf 70 worked well also. Can’t go wrong with any of those 3! I normally only use mineral sunscreen, but decided to give chemical a try on this trip.
@@microwavegum honestly it doesn’t match me that well either lol, but I still like how it feels. If you’re pale, try the Hawaiian tropic tinted mineral face lotion! It’s much paler
Thanks Dr Dray for the great review! I tried numerous chemical sunscreens before giving up on them. My skin is so sensitive that I just can't tolerate even the Japanese and Korean ones, so I appreciate you including mineral options. My new fave by a mile is the Neutrogena mineral tinted in the light shade. I also use Elta MD UV Pure which is @ $30 for 4 ounces. The Australian Gold Fair is great if I am going to be working outside all day - while not as cosmetically elegant as Neutrogena, it wears like iron and is a nice matte option when so many of these tend to be a bit shiny on me. Hope you are having a wonderful day! - Sam
Does it make your clothes and bed sheets smell like urine? I have a zinc one atm and it's staining everything with a smell even after washing.. it's full bane.. plus it makes me look like a mime and it's so hard to get off my skin
@@VeganChiefWarrior No. Doesn't smell weird and stays put on my face. I double wash my face with make up removing soap at the end of the day to get it off.
I love the Laroche-posay anthelios and will continue to buy & use it but I do have to say that I've had the opposite experience w/r/t stinging the eyes- I find that it stings my eyes a lot, so I'd just say be very careful around the eyes. Also the face-only formula in the small shaker bottle doesn't pill over moisturizer but the face & body formula will, so I use it alone, it feels very moisturizing but not greasy. I have normal/combination skin
My favorite is Australian Gold Tinted as it does blur imperfect skin variations too and stays on when I sweat. I love the MDSolar Sciences mineral cream (new to Costco online) because it has wonderful ingredients. But I cannot wear that when I sweat or work out, it is too slick and seems to make me sweat more. I think it is the silicone slip. However, I enjoy it when not in sports. But it does not blur my skin like the Australian Gold which I have to use mineral water to remove. AG is thick and also moisturizing with shea butter. Good for dry skin!
My favorite is definitely the Black Girl Kids Sunscreen. I wish they had a bigger size. I don't go anywhere without it. Since I live in sunny & sweaty Florida sun & heat and I have to walk everywhere it is so perfect! 💛💛💛 It takes a minute to absorb but once it does its super comfortable. Love it! 💛💛💛
I was one of those very fair children who grew up on the beach in SC and stayed constantly sunburned. I had a few blistering burns on my face and shoulders (it was the 50s and 60s, so not much protection back then). This year I had 70 actinic keratoses frozen off my legs. I keep my sunblock in the shower and slather up all over now, as soon as I dry off.
My current fave drug store spf for both face and body is the Banana Boat Light as Air, spf 50! Unfortunately is has fragrance, but I find it doesn't linger too long. It blends in super quick, dries matte, and is so easy for reapplication too!
I love the Neutrogena UV Tint in medium. The texture is silky and coverage is amazing, so much so that I don’t need foundation over it. I’m repurchasing it today. Love it so much.
I just tried the sole mineral sunscreen sold on HSN. Awesome! 17.5 percent zinc oxide. Minimum white cast. No pilling under make up. Beautiful feeling. No burning. Loved it!
My favorite is the tinted neutrogena!!! I hope they will never discontinue it. I first apply a mineral sunscreen like Zealios or Isdin. I let it absorb and then apply the neutrogena. Absolutely love it.
I unfortunately find the Bondi Sands one really greasy and suffocating on my skin. I wear it on my runs. It gives great protection, but I’d like to find one that’s better-formulated for sports activities. That greasy layer on my skin causes me to overheat, and it also beads up and melts sometimes.
That happens to me when I’m doing my outdoor job with Bondi Sands body. But since switching to the banana boat one I’ve been happy. No melting and allows me to sweat more than the other did. And I was using the body version of banana boat rather than the face one (cost reason and I have no fragrance or other skin sensitivities). So Maybe the face formulation one is even better.
@@daegrun oh, this is helpful! So you use the Banana Boat one she mentions in the video? Another Banana Boat one I want to try is the "Light As Air" - it's a little more expensive per-ounce than the Bondi Sands but anything that doesn't melt or sit on my skin like that is worth a little more to me.
I bought the Australian Gold and it was to pink, light in color and very drying to my skin, then I bought the Eucerine sensitive mineral face spf 35. It was to shiny, the color was to dark for my skin and a bit to moisturizing. So I decided to mix the two together and now it works great and I get the color I want. I will not repurchase either one and will stay with Drmtlgy.
I love the Australian Botanicals, it goes on so well under make up for me. I've had no problem with it being too drying, but everyone's skin is different I guess.
I have 55 yo combo oily tan skin and have been using Australian Gold for years because it is matte without being drying and has tint that blends into my skin tone
Love the Bondi sands. I use it everyday on my neck, arms, legs etc as part of my routine even if I am in office. I found it at TJ Max for $5. I stocked up!
I dislike the LRP anthelios. I’m using the 60, still have the 100 sitting in the cupboard for later in the summer. It feels heavy, greasy and sticky to me. It is SO expensive. I think there are plenty of others (bondi sands, black girl kids) that are cheaper and better.
The LP Melt-in-Milk has some sort or white particles in it. Maybe to absorb oil? But as a dry-skinned individual, this one never rubs in for me and it leaves behind this weird white, powdery residue.
I love Eucerine Advanced Hydration 50. It has hyaluronic acid and humectants, is available at CVS, and comes in a large bottle. It feels great on the skin and doesn't pill up with my other skin care products. The only issue is that it leaves a sheen on my skin. I solve the problem by gently tapping on a translucent powder to dull the shine. I am always more satisfied with that as opposed to the tinted sunscreens I've tried.
Love the Australian Gold! But I strongly disagree with the Bondi Sands (both body and face) was EXTREMELY greasy on me...couldn’t even use it on my arms and legs. Do not recommend:(
I Absolutely adore La Roche Posay sunscreen line. Especially the milk and the one with the cooling feeling. And I agree that CVSs extra care program is great for saving a lot of money on these higher end drugstore products.
I like the Neutrogena mineral face sunscreen but it is pretty greasy -- and I have normal leaning dry skin, even. I think oily skin folks would dislike it. It's a bit greasy for me. Wish it were a tad more matte.
I couldn't find any more Black Girl Sunscreen in my town, so I picked up the Dollar Tree version to get me through til I could order it. I never ended up ordering tho, this dollar tree version is really good! Not greasy or goopy, it has a very similar texture to BGS-kids but does have a coconut scent. Ingredients are nothing special but I'm on a tight budget, and this is a great option for me right now.
I am IN LOVE with the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer spf 60. I am acne-prone and have VERY sensitive skin. It’s perfect. No white cast, not heavy, dries down so it’s not shiny. I think it would work for makeup as well.
I live on the Texas Gulf Coast and have been using this for 2 years now. It is the ONLY sunscreen that I’ve found that won’t pill when I put on my liquid foundation. It soaks right in within a few minutes! Love it!
Have you seen the article in the Consumer Reports magazine this months about how 53 of the 68 sunscreens tested less than the recommended 30 spf and many of them tested well below the spf they claim? The Australian Gold 50 I love tested at spf 4!! 😩 I’ve already has malignant melanoma once so I have to be able to rely on the sunscreen I use!
Been using Australian Gold Botanicals for several years. Love the one for the face and the one for the body. Great price and effective in our Hawaiian Sun! 💕
MD Solar Sciences is sold in a 2-pack online with Costco -- NEVER in the warehouse -- but they sell it annually starting in Spring until it sells out. The Costco 2-pack costs about the same as a single pack elsewhere if you catch a promo (typically $10 off).
I have been loving Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Superlight Broad Spectrum - SPF 30 ($24.49 at Target, but I found mine at a salvage store for $3). Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer Mineral SPF 47 ($16 at TJ Maxx) and Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen ($8). Oh and anything by Coola or SuperGoop that I find at Marshalls/TJ Maxx. The closest I have come to your list is Black Girl Sunscreen at TJ Maxx for $6, and it was excellent.
I love the LRP mentioned, but my only note is that it dries down on facial hair crunchy and white (eyebrows, mustache, beard). Probably due to the mattifying ingredients!
I confirm that Bondi Sands body and face SPF is the same! I am currently using it, but because it is very moisturizing I skip moisturized underneath. Great one though! Even my husband likes it, which tells a lot :D
Dr. Dray: In Canada we can get 0.01% prescription tretinoin. I know that studies have shown 0.025% to be just as effective for signs of aging as higher strengths over the long run but I can’t see anything about 0.01%. Do you think it’s worth using 0.01% for signs of aging even without the data?
I've been a fan of Australian Gold tinted mineral lately. No stinging eyes, water resistant, not too pricey, easy to find. For heavy sun exposure, though, the only thing that completely stops me from burning at the beach is Walmart's Equate Ultra. It got a great score from Consumer Reports, which found that it actually has the SPF it claims, so I tried it out. The first day, I didn't burn in areas where I used it, and I burned on areas where I used another brand. I was sold.
Yes, being in my 60s and with - still - oily skin, Australian Gold is one of sunscreens that is "always" on my counter. I like it after I use Elta MD SPF 41 tinted and Cotz 35/40 (from Ulta) and Sun Bum SPF 30. Oddly, the one(s) that works best for my ears and forehead and neck area are the Japanese sunscreens: Skin Aqua or HADA LABO UV Perfect Gel SPF50+ 90g. The Japanese sunscreens work great for the neck and ears - by far!!!
My go to sunscreen at the moment is La roche Posay anthelios mineral light fluid sunscreen with spf of 50. I find it has less white cast compared to other mineral sunscreen.
Please please help. I use tretinoin but every single sunscreen I’ve ever tried breaks me out or causes a reaction. I can’t use Elta md, vanicream, anything for sensitive skin. I don’t know what to do
thank you so much for introducing us to the Neutrogena tinted sunscreen. chemical ones burn my eyes so bad and so do a lot of mineral ones and even asian and European sunscreen and I tried the Neutrogena one and I absolutely love it. You can't tell I am using sunscreen but it does help to hide some o fly redness and just makes my skin look good.
I have oily, acne-prone skin. I gave up looking for an affordable sunscreen with a matte finish that was water resistant to 80 minutes, that also worked under minimal makeup and didnt break me out. I just keep buying the $40 frigging dollars Elta Md UV Elements tinted spf. If I dont wear makeup I use the Black Girl Sunscreen kids spf 50 (would work under makeup in dry, cold weather. Just not in Florida heat). Now if I dont mind covering my whole face in foundation..🤡 I can use the La Roche Posay Clear Skin Dry touch spf 60. Its nice and matte but it does have a slight cast. I just use a light coverage foundation on a sponge so that I dont look crazy (Wet n wild dewy). When summer is over I can use the Paulas Choice chemical sunscreens aimed for oily skin. Zero breakouts.
Thank you Dr Dray for sharing this informative review. My skin is very sensitive, I use a mineral sunscreen. The sunscreen I've been using is the All Good Tinted mineral sunscreen SPF 30. This product is fragrance free, water resistant, with 18% Zinc Oxide. The matte finish is lightweight with coverage like a foundation. Take care everyone 🏖 🍉🍦
I have oily skin. I’ve been using the Copper Tone oil free face sunscreen- I find it to be super greasy. It looks nice when you first apply, very glowy. It might leave a white cast for medium-darker tones (I’ve noticed a slight cast on my fair skin and I’ve noticed a white film collect in the crease of my arms when I’ve applied it on my arms). But putting any makeup on over this sunscreen does not set well, stays oily and feels heavy, it also makes my mascara smudge under my eyes. And makes my eyes burn, even when I’m not particularly sweaty. So… Oily skin folks- my go to has always been the Neutrogena Clear Face sunscreen. It’s not perfect, you might still find a little bit of greasiness, but it’s by far the best I’ve found that doesn’t cause as much smudging under my eyes, if at all, if I set my makeup well enough. And doesn’t make me look SO greasy and shiny throughout the day. It also doesn’t cause any burning in/around my eyes. The formula might be irritating to sensitive skin, it does have a SLIGHT tingle to it for me when first applied. Not sure what it is that causes this, but it’s not overly irritating to me/doesn’t cause any adverse effects in my experience- just throwing that info out there in case it makes a difference to someone.
@@Ohkeh640 I try to wait as long as possible, but it's not always convenient when I'm just needing to get ready... most of the time I'll wait a few minutes, maybe 5 mins. It doesn't seem to make much of a difference when it comes to the Copper Tone sunscreen.
Thanks for the video! I’m loving the Cetaphil sheer mineral spf 50 for the face. I can only use the La Roche Posay Uvamune on my body because I have polymorphous light eruption, but that doesn’t seem to affect my face.
@@DrDrayzdaydr dray can I touch on A-Peel ?? Please It’s a toxic and 😮 absorbs into the skin but putting it on all. Fruits and vegetables organic or regular many stores are carrying it now can you please touch base on this ruclips.net/video/ZVh7Ggyfzck/видео.html
I used Australian Gold tinted and untinted for years, and I loved it. Then it started burning my skin, almost like a sunburn with swelling, redness and later peeling. I don’t know if they changed the formula, or if I developed a sensitivity to it, but I had to stop using it. Currently using Elta MD, which is okay, but still looking for a good moisturizing high SPF sunscreen.
I wish I had watched this video before I went to work this morning. Spent 10 minutes in target reading ingredients trying to decide between La roche Posay and the sun bum. Ended up going with a Sun bum because I could not justify $36 for la roche posay. I placed a stylevana order nearly 3 weeks ago and it still hasn’t shipped with my beauty of Joeson and I’m down to two days or so left. 🙃 decisions had to be made, and I’m glad I happen to choose one that is on your list.
The thing with blurry eyes is at least to me when they start burning and simultaneously try to hold ir as press my fingers like man it's burning like hell but my point is that (attempt to make it funny 😂) when it happens to me my mother tries to speak to me and I'm in pain ans say yeah you are right good and she says you are joking me right 😅 (the whole situation was hilarious). Thank you for your awesome recommendations ❤😊.
How can people afford all these sunscreens? I live paycheck to paycheck and I can't afford all this stuff.. Even buying a sunshirt and hats is hard. I only wear spf on my face because I got it on clearance.
These are good sunscreens but still a bit pricey. I wish sunscreen were like toothpaste where you can get it really cheap per ounce and it gets the job done without leaving a white cast. Like is it that hard to ask for?
Right! And talk about the ones like La Roche Posay that cost 25 to 40 dollars and others cost up to 50 dollars. And each tube is small and runs out quickly. I refuse to pay that much. I wish companies made more affordable sunscreen that's nicer to wear
Aveeno Protect & Hydrate is still my holy grail. I have combination skin and it dries demi/satin matte on me. While I like BGS Kids, it's too greasy in a humid climate for me. I need to powder my face or add makeup primer and don't always want to do that. I like BGS Kids for autumn/winter when I need a glow. A new one I tried is Banana Boat Light as Air and it might be my new spring/summer go to. It absorbs quickly (minimal rubbing in), dries matte and feels like nothing is on my skin - big win for the climate I live in. Also it's only $9 for 3 oz.
@@graceelizabeth8284 I'm hearing that from more people! I'm sorry, that sucks. I should count myself lucky I guess. Although there was a weird moment when it turned white/grey on my forehead anytime I sweat. That was mortifying 😰
The neutrogena serum spfs are amazing. Ive tried all 3 so far. They also have a clear face 60 serum version! Down side is they come in smaller sizes and are pricey for neutrogena. I have noticed the invisible daily version does burn my eyes after several hours.
Is Neutrogena sunscreen safe for reefs? Neutrogena's naturally sourced lotion with broad-spectrum SPF 30 is lightweight, hypoallergenic, oil-free, sweat and water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, and it won't clog pores. “This sunscreen is reef-safe as it uses zinc oxide,” Canes says.Feb 22, 2022
Hi dr Dray! 😻here in europe my absolute favourite is ultrasun antipigmentation spf 50 (because of the lock-in lamellar technology, combined with ingredients resorcinol and ectoin, it really beautifies the skin -I was shocked when I looked at before and after pictures of my melasma!) and the Judith Williams vitamin C spf30 (for the encapsulated vit C and niacinamid). I found them really really good for acneprone skin since they combat hyperpigmentation both from breakouts and melasma🥰
I’m surprised cerave hydrating sheer mineral spf 30 water resistant for 80’ didn’t make your cut. It’s the only drugstore brand I enjoy. I highly recommend it.
LOVE the Banana Boat 50 Protection +Vitamins. Thank you, Dr Dray. 👍🏼 The texture is lovely for my combo-skin face & under makeup. Haven’t tested under eyes & on lids yet; Dr Dray has a higher tolerance than me. 😊 Also like the travel size!
NPR had a segment this week on sunscreen encouraging it’s use. However the spokesperson discouraged chemical sunscreens (saying the chemicals could get in your bloodstream) and further said to use a full teaspoon on your face. 😮
For the hot and sweaty summers, littllextra riceberry sunscreen is a must and alongside it, the riceberry face wash is necessary to cleanse your pores of dust and microbes which could lead to acne. It not only makes your skin clean but also does not make it too dry. I am loving those and would purchase them repeatedly.
Hey dr dray can you do an updated favourite body sunscreens, I was looking through a few of your old videos and I can’t find the majority of them in canada
Which organic (chemical) do you think doesn’t irritate the most people’s eye? I feel like I’ve tried them all and they all make my vision blurry and eyes burn - but I’d like to keep trying!
My favorite mineral sunscreen is the R&R sun serum-it's SO good!!! The only chemical sunscreens I use is on my body (burning eyes is not for me) and I live the Banana Boat Light as air or the Black Girl Sunscreen Spray. All other sunscreens feel to greasy on my skin. Can you do a video on reapplication of sunscreen on the face over makeup? I struggle with this. I work from home and do sit next to a window and apply my sunscreen in the morning. When I go outside I do wear a hat &/or touch up with a powder SPF or facial spf spray but was wondering if that's enough protection. I don't wear foundation just concealer and blush, but feel gross applying sunscreen over that. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks so much for all your videos!!! I've learned SO much and truly have saved so much money thanks to you!
I really appreciate the drug store recommendations for people like me who are on a budget but still want a good sunscreen. Really appreciate that they're waterproof as I sweat terribly with the heat and humidity. I'm going to get the La Roche Posay one and see how it holds up in the very high humidity that's inevitably coming. I'm also interested in the Bondi Sands one. They will both be going on my wish list. Thanks, as always, Dr Dray! Happy Wednesday!! Hope you have a peaceful evening. 💖
I love the SunBum tinted mineral! Gives me a nice blurred skin correction. I do a little powder to help set, cream blush, brows and mascara, lip gloss, and out the door!
@@danielleb6064 Can I ask you what cream blush you use? I have tried Merit cream blush and it does not stay on me. Do you put your powder on first before the cream blush? Thank you for your time.
Ive tried a few of these - loving the bondi sands because it just feels like a thinner lotion and doesnt smell like sunscreen - but I haven't worn it when its really hot yet and out for awhile - just for daily xposure and tennis but not really sweating. I bought the Neutrogena face serum for my boys who don't like thick sunscreen or makes their faces shiny - I had my 16 yr old put it on before a day at/near the beach (and it was cloudy) - I saw him put it on but he came back with a sunburn and he wasnt out all day. I have been reaching for the new Neutrogena UV tint on days when I know I will get more sun because it has staying power - its a little thicker than I prefer but my skin absorbs it well. But they need to fix the packaging! It leaks so bad!
Thanks for helping us prepare for the sunny weather! I have yet to try LaRoche Posay and sounds like I should! I love the outdoors but I easily get sunburned so I cover up as much as possible and need reliable sunscreen for sure!
@@marizzy63 Thank you, I hope you do too! It is nice here in RI but we are having air-quality warnings due to fires in Canada. Otherwise, it is a great day!
I would like to put in a good word for Sun Bum sunscreens. Sun Bum Mineral Tinted Sunscreen Face Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is the perfect tint for me. I have struck out with so many other sunscreens that I can see myself repurchasing this one for as long as it is made. It is a perfect makeup primer. Makes me look absolutely poreless, plus it plays well with foundation and doesn't irritate my eyes. It is so flatttering, though, that I could probably get by with just it and some blush. Also I wanted a spray sunscreen for my body which would go on clear, so I got the Sun Bum Kids Clear Sunscreen Spray Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Water Resistant (80 minutes).
From the drugstore the winner is neutrogena, I tried sun bum and Australian gold but the % zinc is too low for me to trust the uva protection and they are too drying specially AG I also love the Isdin Eryfotona and la Roche Uv mune :)
I like Trader Joe’s Daily facial sunscreen. I think it’s a dupe for the Supergoop Unseen sunscreen. Both are SPF 40. I have a hard time telling them apart.
This video answered some questions I have had for years. My base line skin color is rather light, but I have compulsively tanning skin that does not burn easily. I always had a few little freckles, but starting in my late forties, my freckles became bigger sun spots. (This is a super common problem for Asians.) I could go outside, sneeze, and come back a Dalmatian. The mystery was, I always wore SPF 50 mineral sunscreen. Recently, however, my sunspots receded and haven’t gotten worse. I couldn’t figure out why. After watching your video, it occurred to me that I recently changed sunscreens and that maybe that was why my sunspot problem got better. I went to check my sunscreen tube, and sure enough, it said “PA+++.” It seriously made a difference! Very informative, thank you!
If we’re supposed to apply a thick amount why are the facial sunscreen products so SMALL
So that you can buy again and again
They want you to buy and buy and waste so much money
That’s why you should use body sunscreens on the face if it works for you.
@@Buttercuprincesa i disagree there a small amount

But it does not blur my skin like the Australian Gold which I have to use mineral water to remove. AG is thick and also moisturizing with shea butter. Good for dry skin!
My favorite is definitely the Black Girl Kids Sunscreen. I wish they had a bigger size. I don't go anywhere without it. Since I live in sunny & sweaty Florida sun & heat and I have to walk everywhere it is so perfect! 💛💛💛 It takes a minute to absorb but once it does its super comfortable. Love it! 💛💛💛
It is so good!
I have sensitive skin and I love the Australian Gold. 😊
Make sure you dry your skin throughly prior to applying
My current fave drug store spf for both face and body is the Banana Boat Light as Air, spf 50! Unfortunately is has fragrance, but I find it doesn't linger too long. It blends in super quick, dries matte, and is so easy for reapplication too!
I love the Neutrogena UV Tint in medium. The texture is silky and coverage is amazing, so much so that I don’t need foundation over it. I’m repurchasing it today. Love it so much.
my favorite is bondi sands chemical hands down! however the walgreens dupe is also super good
I just tried the sole mineral sunscreen sold on HSN.
Me too! It was so cheap!
Australian Gold tinted! My holy grail!😊
so glad i found this channel i didn’t even realise how i was uneducated about skincare like half of my products was just so
wrong to me
I knew practically nothing about skincare til I started following this channel about 6 months ago.
The Black Girl Kids is my favorite!! No stinging eyes, stays on well, hydrating. Love it!!
Could you do a matte / opaque finish sunscreen video?
It would be really useful!
I love the Bondi Sands sunscreen. Thanks Dr Dray for introducing me to it!
There's a dollar store dupe of BGS Kids? That's awesome!
Just an FYI, Ulta is having a great sale on sun screens.
I’m curious why you didn’t include the Undefined R&R Sun Serum? It’s water resistant and fragrance free as well.
I was sold.
I'm going to Wally World later !.. the 50 or 70 ? Lotion tube cap , with the palm trees on front?
So helpful! But where's the beloved Kroger glow screen dupe you raved about that I just bought and haven't tried yet?
I have been using the Black Girl Sunscreen Kids for about 2 years now and I love it.
I love the aussie gold tinted one! It’s not shiny, I love it!
My favorite is the Australian Gold BB sunscreen, it's work perfect on my mature combination skin I just love it.
My go to sunscreen at the moment is La roche Posay anthelios mineral light fluid sunscreen with spf of 50. I find it has less white cast compared to other mineral sunscreen.
What’s best for oily skin….chemical or mineral??
Where can you buy it , drug store ?
I have oily skin. I’ve been using the Copper Tone oil free face sunscreen- I find it to be super greasy. It looks nice when you first apply, very glowy. It might leave a white cast for medium-darker tones (I’ve noticed a slight cast on my fair skin and I’ve noticed a white film collect in the crease of my arms when I’ve applied it on my arms). But putting any makeup on over this sunscreen does not set well, stays oily and feels heavy, it also makes my mascara smudge under my eyes. And makes my eyes burn, even when I’m not particularly sweaty.
So…
Oily skin folks- my go to has always been the Neutrogena Clear Face sunscreen.
I’m oily skin too
How long do you wait to apply makeup
@@Ohkeh640 I try to wait as long as possible, but it's not always convenient when I'm just needing to get ready... most of the time I'll wait a few minutes, maybe 5 mins. It doesn't seem to make much of a difference when it comes to the Copper Tone sunscreen.
Thanks for the video! I’m loving the Cetaphil sheer mineral spf 50 for the face. I can only use the La Roche Posay Uvamune on my body because I have polymorphous light eruption, but that doesn’t seem to affect my face.
So glad MDSolarScience is now sold in CVS. I love that brand!
I love the neutrogena tinted mineral. I use it everyday since march and I love it so much ! I never had a suncreen not make my eye water. Love it
Good Morning Dr. Dray🌷and to everyone watching😊 Happy Wednesday!
Morning!
@@DrDrayzday have a wonderful day😊
@@DrDrayzdaydr dray can I touch on A-Peel ?? Please
It’s a toxic and 😮 absorbs into the skin but putting it on all.
I like the Drmtlgy ones, they have a couple of tinted, I like the physical tinted 44 best.
Thank you for your awesome recommendations ❤😊.
australian gold has been the closest thing i have found to a perfect sunscreen
I love the MD Solarscience. It spreads well because of the silicones, and I have no issue with the dry down.
What about vanicream I LOVE IT. I HAVE EZMA
Omg that Aveeno protect and hydrate felt so greasy and heavy on my skin. I wish it felt matte on me
@@graceelizabeth8284 I'm hearing that from more people!
Hi dr Dray! 😻here in europe my absolute favourite is ultrasun antipigmentation spf 50 (because of the lock-in lamellar technology, combined with ingredients resorcinol and ectoin, it really beautifies the skin -I was shocked when I looked at before and after pictures of my melasma!)
and the Judith Williams vitamin C spf30 (for the encapsulated vit C and niacinamid).
I tried it. Way too shiny on my skin.
I use the Sun Bum as a back-up/travel/kids sunscreen because it's relatively cheap and easy to carry around. I recommend trying.
This is the type of misinformation that just makes people less likely to use sunscreen and more likely to develop skin cancer. Ugh 😔
Thank you so much Dr Dray. Sunscreen really help fade my melasma. I’m going to Target today to get the La Roche Posay sunscreen.
I NEVER hada HG even w makeup but i do with my spf! Its paulas choice resist Line spf 50 moisturizer! Omg my skin looks better w it!!😁❤💖❤💜
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray!!! I'm standing in the sunscreen isle at Walmart!! 0:55
Happy Wednesday
Just got the Kroger tinted sunscreen, equals to Supergoop! I love it! Thanks for recommending previously 💕
Bondi Sands have a couple of new mineral sunscreens available in Australia……very very nice
What setting powder do you use?
@@marsha2703 I'm currently using Laura Mercier Translucent Loose powder
@@danielleb6064 Can I ask you what cream blush you use? I have tried Merit cream blush and it does not stay on me. Do you put your powder on first before the cream blush? Thank you for your time.
@@marsha2703 I'm using Milk Makeup Cream Blush 😊 and yes, I powder lightly first
Ive tried a few of these - loving the bondi sands because it just feels like a thinner lotion and doesnt smell like sunscreen - but I haven't worn it when its really hot yet and out for awhile - just for daily xposure and tennis but not really sweating.
I use the Australian Gold and that’s the only one i love ….
Thanks for helping us prepare for the sunny weather! I have yet to try LaRoche Posay and sounds like I should! I love the outdoors but I easily get sunburned so I cover up as much as possible and need reliable sunscreen for sure!
Happy Wednesday Theresa . Enjoy your day

Good to hear so many positive reviews on the Sun Bum, that's the next one I'm going to try out!
Is it drying on the skin at all? Thanks ❤
Thank you for the recommendation 🙏
Is it tacky or shiny? Thanks
