Man....all these video's of Saves The Day I'm seeing them play the golden oldies. Man...those first 3 albums and every ep and single in between is a fucking goldmine.
I felt like once Chris went back to playing the guitar during the In Reverie era is when his voice went softer and nasally. He sounds a lot better like this without the guitar. Chris’ voice during Stay What You Are was the best in business at the time.
Sounds like a mix of his old school voice and the more higher pitched voice he used post-Stay What You Are. I think it works. Sounds a lot better these days. Saw them perform live a couple of months ago and it was damn good.
Saves The Day saved one of my fave band. Voice of chris keeps hunting me everytime i'm down. much love from forever fanw of Saves The Day from Philippines
Bit nerdy but it's a bummer that they did these shows on teles with fuck all distortion. The songs had amazing Les Paul through a Marshall tones that really made the albums. In comparison the songs sound like shadows on teles through fender heads.
(@Brian K.) Ouch.... I would've never voiced myself here, had you not taken the lead.... Forever-Fan that I am, it doesn't come easy for me to be critical of these guys as I might with other bands, but.... Even live (up 'til these later sets, of course), they were able to retain some of that "girth" because (even though my boy Arun always brings-it with his Lindy Fralin-loaded Telecasters) CHRIS is always up there with a Gibson of SOME sort (Les Paul, 335, etc....), and it lends it that familiar crunch we love !!
This is one of those things that didn't bother me until I read your comment and then listened again. haha. but yeah, I love teles, they are very versatile, but just don't cut it for how we're used to hearing these tunes.
I saw them on their first Australian tour with the Get Up Kids at the Metro in Sydney, they played 1 song each from their first 3 albums, the rest was In Reverie which I wasn't a fan of. I felt disappointed they completely disregarded the albums that meant the absolute world to me and everyone in that room watching them. That disappointment lasted about 20 mins til The Get Up Kids took the stage and played all of their classics. This vid gave me some great memories of my childhood, thx Kerrang. I would have been singing my heart out if I was there.
@@marylouwatkins6471 I think you misread my comment/you’re missing the context of who I replied to because their comment is gone, but either way, you can certainly think that!
Seems like no one wants to hear their new stuff. Their s/t album was ok, but im not a fan of their newest record. i dont think their last few tours would have done as well if they werent anniversary tours. i dont mean to hate, but just calling it like i see it.

Marc Maron killing it on the guitar
Their first 3 albums were magical!
Seems like Chris is starting to get the old power in his voice back...

I don't hear it, personally.

yeah i heard more cant slow down and less of his new school whine in this.. love it all regardless x
Eh he hasnt had his old voice since 2016
Holy shit this sound quality is perfect. Thanks for the upload!
Will Putney strikes again. This guy knows how to mix rock, metal and punk style music.

Tears in my eyes!!!! that’s my fucking childhood memories right there thank you saves the day hope to see you in italy one day!!
"i'm not done, you're not done, no one's done.... NO ONE'S DONE! NO ONE'S DONE!" that lady is a legend.
Sound quality is awesome. Cant wait to see them next year
Started listening at 1.5 speed and I don't want to stop.
why did I have to read your comment...
literally Can't Slow Down
Exelente todas las canciones del mejor disco que tienen para mi 👏🎉
I love this album so much, but I just want to say that In Reverie is one of the most critically underrated rock albums of the past 30 or so years.
Matthew Brown Agreed. Their song writing reached a new level with that album and the bass lines are 👌🏽
Matthew Brown recently got a free copy of in reverie in vinyl! Love that album too!

Word.... That album was BUILT on Les Paul tone !!!

come to Brazil!!!!!!!!
4:25 fan nails drum break
in reverie still snaps
Beautiful.
Do you know what i love the most yeaaaah my fav song 🔥
Jesus, this brought back memories.
I think I've seen a box of sleeping hedgehogs go harder than this crowd.
Besides, I'd rather forget the days we spent.
Than try to stay afloat in shallow water.
Siii el mejor album 😀
man, this crowd is CRAZY! they need to calm down before somebody gets hurt!!! LOL

Was expecting this to be way more rowdy.
i'm guessing it's a no-no in this venue
🤘
Thanks 🙌🏻
Why didnt they play Through being cool in full for this?
Only did it for 4 shows. Hopefully theyll tour the whole album again in 2020, doubt it though.
Saves the day ❤
I fuckin love these guys!
14:41 anyone knows what is the chords that he used for the song hold?
It's tuned half step down and its just a combination of open chords. G, C, D, and A minor. I'm terrible at explaining things but I hope that helped.
*G, D, Em, C/G, Am, Bm* (some licc on 2rd and 3rd frets of the D string )
Can someone help identify his varsity jacket?
Hey crowd, you're not that old to jump.
jumpin around so fucking annoying, just stand still and moves yall ass with singing out loud
pleasure.
what an awful take, half of the fun of the show is not being a crank and getting into it physically
What a disgrace. Fucking terrible for such a good band. No stage diving or let alone two steps 😂

What happened to the Touche Amore show !?
this is a tiny dive bar? this is bigger than all my local underground venues
How do I find the official fan channel here?
H O L D ❤
Chris with the "sick" and the "fuck yeah" and I believed them both.
If I heard saves the day for the first time today I would absolutely hate their music. It’s nostalgic now though. Grew up on this.
For me it has to do with the albums getting shittier. Now I'm glad we have the first two records.
1.25 speed on this goes sooooo crazy

Who went to the actual show? Did they really just play this short set and peace out?
i did, and indeed it was kinda disappointing lol
How is this man doing a whole show in a hoodie? Yeesh.
1.25x speed is a time machine
This show would have been a violent mess if it was in Philadelphia. Man do I miss shows.
Exactly. Imma just go watch the hate5six sets 😂
If only they did birthday parties
They played nothing off SWYA and In Reverie :(
Damn. One of my all time favs, but shit if he cant hit those high emo notes to save his life.
The crowd sucks!! The band rules
cool, but i miss the times when they sounded more punk rock
luizdamata these songs were from their most punk sounding era. They became less punk in the later albums,
What a boring crowd.
*FUCKING AWESOME* - my favorite band of all time
