Chris Bangle really was the best thing that happened to BMW. The E63 still looks more interesting then 99% of cars on sale today.

They are so cheap now even the new ones 2 years old and they are half price a v10 one goes for like $18k for a low mile one. Getting one soon,to add to my 335i,C5 Vette, and 350Z. Yes the Rod bearing are an issue and should be changed every 50k miles but it's not that hard of a DIY and costs $1000 not bad compared to other supercars

Driven both cars (of that generation), M6 is faster, M5 is more enjoyable to drive and practical.
On a side note, Vicki is incredibly cute in this video.
Check the video where she "races" the E60 M5 vs Tiff in the Formula 1 car. When he catches up and eventually passes her... The squealing and giggling are just top notch.

Am I right if I sad that E63 M6, E60 M5 and E92 M3 are the best BMW's M cars ever. They are better M cars then E39 M5 and M3 E46.
In my opinion E39 M5 and E46 M3 are the best looking M cars but E60, E63 and E92 are but these cars are far better than them in every single way.
I am buying a Le Mans Bleu E63 ///M6 in two weeks. Adding to my collection of ///M cars. Love that V10 sound. Christ.
These two BMWs with V10s are like cousins or brothers and sisters.
The £18000 didn't just get you slightly better performance, it makes sure your car doesn't look like the thousands of 520d's going around

Ive had both. Alot of press said the M5 was just as good if not better than the M6.... for sure the M5 did better than any 1850kg 8250rpm but rather torqueless had any right to BUT....
The M6 drove alot better for my money, the nose felt pointier, the chassis balance better, the ride abit more composed too. It also looks far better in the flesh than in pictures. I loved my M5 though which i had first. No rod bearings or SMG or Vanos issues across any cars!!!

@@mislavkonjik2827 e39 is a very handsome car but I’m more a GT guy so e63 m6. But when It comes to m5s looks wise I say e34 best. I’ve actually owned the e63 m6 for a few years, but I only use it 3k summer km a year. I don’t think it’s a daily kind of car at this point.

@@mislavkonjik2827 Well said. E Series m cars were a high point in ICE performance cars from Bmw. A lot more freedom for engineers than now. That being said I’m one who thinks every single M car except the SUVs is a special car.

vicki set the m5 up wrong for the lap you dont need to fo all that ...if she wouldve just pressed tthe M botton on the steering wheel the gearbox suspension and engine all go into m power mode also shows a headup display

Z-Army Yes, I'm a owner of a M6 06'. Such an amazing car, only problems I've had is a glitched iDrive system and the PDC's broke down. But it's a proper touring coupe, and a grown ups car.
My fave is... The M5 TOURING. Has the best bits of both these cars...AND a big boot with a practical opening. Also a very rare car, most people in the market for a fast estate just bought and RS6 by default but you can't make those dance and slide like an M5, nor do they sound as good.
Those yellow angel rings are SO fucking horrible. Had to do away with mine and replace them with a 6000K colour angel eyes.

Looked at both of these cars back and forth a couple years and ended up going with the M5, the usefulness of those two extra doors just can't be overstated. Never really liked the M6's headlights either, too droopy.
Though an M6 vert wouldn't be bad, just be able to hear the S85 just that little bit better.

The m6 has much better lines whereas the m5 look like a family car with its box looking back end. I have no kids so I do not need the extra two doors. The M5 looks like it does not know what it wants to be a family sedan or a sport coupe. The styling on the M5 to me looks way too generic for me that is why I passed on it when test drove the M5 and got the M6. Now I have the three cars of my dreams: 2010 XFR 2008 CLS AMG, and now the 2009 M6. Some people never get the opportunity to drive these kind of car let alone own one so they always claim this is better than that without actually owning one. Or they can only afford the lesser car and try to justify their purchase. As in the case of the M5 over the M6 because if they were spending someone else's money ther would go for the better car rather than what they can afford on their own money. This is unless they have kids and only one car in the household then I can see getting the M5 over the M6.
I like the look of the E63 M6, but I always thought the E60 M5 was a bit ugly. It doesn’t have that German elegance to it.

They used the damnella effect just to fix the V10 engine.
Both cars are more than fast enough. The M6 would have to be a whole lot faster to be worth it. After all the M5 is a stealth car, where you can be cool. The M6 tries too hard. Both are great though. if given as a gift, you would say thank you to either.
M5 looks SO much better, helped along very good by the fact that the M6 is UGLY! the headlights on the M6 looks sleepy and sad, and don't get me started on the backend!

The M4 looks like shit, it looks like a lump of plastic. The M6 convertible in my opinion is really nice, the new M5 is wicked but they are both pointless, they are too big.

A E63 or RS6 pulls upp next to you at the light, looks at you and smiles....
M5 driver: - Can you wait a min, i just need to push a few buttons first!
E63 or RS6 is no longer in sight....
All of those settings are programmed into the M Button, which is one push on the steering wheel that you should do the second you start up the car anyway.
Plus, newer E63s and RS6s have programmable drive select modes, exactly like BMW.

I M FAB Engines produced for the e60 and e63 after 2010 arnt so great in my opinion. What would you choose, a NA v10 or a turbo v8?

I would take a standard version of either of these cars. But I don´t need or want these crazy horsepower M-versions, in real life you really don´t need that amount of power in you normal 4-door saloon or even a coupé.
Honestly I have an Audi A4 and I don´t even know how many horsepower it has.

525d is not bad, one of the most reliable diesel engine, in the world
In my country the diesel is not an option due the diesel tax. But I would be happy with 520. And you can get your speeding ticket even with that, if that kind of stuff is your thing.

For a female driver she’s good, i wish all females drive like her, but e60 m5 is my dream car, I’m gonna c if i can get one manual one, cuz I’m not automatic lover, I’m American n soon as i get 1. I’ll be chasing all pretty girls in this, plus taking it to race tracks to challenge other sports cars out there.
