    Love your explaining on products and how they are used properly. So many young guys these days go hammer and tong doing repairs and waste a load of products but as you have explained, if used properly you don’t waste the products and you get a far better job in the long run. Experience matters for a better finish and end job.

    Great Work as always!! question, how do you manage to keep the surface rust at bay while working on each panel? cheers

    • @adamsonautobody
      @adamsonautobody  10 месяцев назад

      They will need a sand back before we prime the panel. We try not to remove all the paint until we are ready for etch and epoxy. Thanks for watching Scotty 👍

    It’s funny how all these other channel’s that build award winning show cars for motor ex and Summernats pride themselves on making sure attention to detail is paramount and proceed to “skim” the entire car with plastic preaching highest standards

    • @xbgtfella
      @xbgtfella 11 месяцев назад

      Makes u laugh alright. Plastic hides a multitude of sins for them "elite" cars. Its more about making the show deadline and taking as many viable shortcuts they can get away with to arrive at the end result than taking the time to follow the skilled coachbuilders approach Pops and Mick showcase. And who can blame them, there can only be a handful of tradesmen on the planet who possess the knowledge and skill these blokes display. A lost art indeed. To be able to shoot a car with zero bog and minimum final prep, any elite painters would be queuing up to finish panel work like this of the highest quality. Whats your thoughts?

    • @GODEES77
      @GODEES77 11 месяцев назад

      @@xbgtfella I agree with you. These so called elite show cars look the goods when they hit the shows, but 3-5 years later the shortcuts and sins rare their heads up and they just back mask and cover them up all over again. Sad thing is these show car builders charge an absolute premium for their services and at the end of the day they’re just cake decorating

    • @GODEES77
      @GODEES77 11 месяцев назад

      @@xbgtfella I’m not gonna start bagging individual people out because I don’t know one end of a spray gun to the other, but when you see what Pops and Mick are doing (not trophy hunting just quality work) and you see others who are big big names on the show car scene putting out videos on how to build high quality show vehicles and preach how fussy they are and how they produce a great product, then you watch them bring out the bog tin and say “you can get it perfect without a skim of filler as these cars are 50 plus years old and some have had some damage you can’t 100% fix”…….then you comment on their video and say well how can Mick and Pops from Adamson Auto Body do car after car and not have 1 gram of plastic filler in their cars they get all “well if you have the money to pay for it then do it” pretty average response from people who’ve made a great life for themselves building cars for people who use shortcuts to get the job done and charge exceedingly high prices for the privilege

    I was curious what happened last night to the upload. Thanks for putting it back up i was half way through and it stopped. I will order some Dulux ultra build from SBI . I was always curious what that primer is. It looks like great stuff. Can you spray base coat on this ?

    • @adamsonautobody
      @adamsonautobody  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching @pai7870. The video had a few problems needed fixing. yes you actually can its the only epoxy on the market that you can spray base coats over.
