Brook TROUT Fishing with Joe's Flies Spinners

- I went brook trout fishing at new spot that I had never been to before. It was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect and the water level was great. There were a ton of people fishing which made it a little difficult. We fished for about 6 hours and were able to catch some nice brook trout. I caught all of my trout on a Joe's Flies spinner. Dad also caught some trout using a crankbait. At one point, Dad and I doubled up on brook trout. It was a lot of fun. Joe's Flies spinners are great lures for trout. Pick some up and give them a try!

My best luck has been with the royal coachman Joe's flies .. for brook trout .. I live in Maine it seems to be a go to fly and works well for me

Love your videos fishhawk. After over a decade of losing my appetite for fishing. I bought a new rod and fell in love with it again. Like how u mostly catch and release never have or will kill a fish. I'm from Scotland and a river next to my home but mostly what we catch are always under a pound. Hoping to have a good fight with a fish at some point later on in the summer. Your lakes etc look amazing compared to ours 😂

Those are some huge brookies! I've been catching a ton of them in VT, but the largest was 11". Most are 5-6".

We got a nice stocking of Brookies up here in the Northern Panhandle last week also and that Black Gnat Joe Fly is exactly ny Spinner of choice also - great lure
I recommend Joe's Flies for trout fishing all the time. It's a game changer, works every time. Just wish they would use better quality hooks, sooner or later they tend to bend.
They're amazing. I agree about the hooks.

@@scycosnake3964 somewhat, never used Bluefox. But I love using them cause they're pretty cheap and has one main hook, and a trailer treble hook. Love seeing the trout chase them all the way to shore.

Joe's flies look so amazing i have seen so many RUclips videos of people slaying fish on Joe's flies i however had a bad experience with them i got lots of really good hits when I did hook up they straightened right out maybe the size i was using was too small for sea run cuttthuot

Those brookies had some giant blue spots on them the native strain of brookies in Wisconsin have tiny blue spots every where on them

Hey what's the best way to use a trout magnet?
you can just cast it out and jig it back in. you can put it under a small float and just let it drift. both work well.
I caught a few brookies the other eve in Jefferson Co while my son was at golf practice

Excellent video. Any tips for trout fishing faster rocky water like around the 6:00 mark in the video?
Thank you. I appreciate that. Yes, look for slack water. Behind a big rock, along the bank, sides of the current where slow, stiller water meets the fast current. Trout will normally hold in slower water, very close to the fast moving water. Cast upstream or across the stream and bring your lure through those spots. You can fish right in the current as well. Some trout like to hold in the fast water. Hope that helps.
Those taste good fried. I have several of those Joe's flies spinners. You may want to try Thomas 1/10 ounce special spinners been using those since 1983.

Would it work to put a live worm on a small jighead instead of a regular hook, just to add some weight for more distance casting?
yeah for sure
@@davidstock5279 nah, I doubt it. The jig head would be super small. like 1/32 oz or 1/16 oz at most
