The plugs should go in the brick not the mortar.
Did you drill the holes for the upright support posts into the mortar and use plugs?
Nice gate mate just curious why the ledgers don't go the full width of the gate also why is there such a large overhang of the t&g at the bottom
Really useful video many thanks. Just one thing, you said you were going to show us how to put the curve on the top of the gate. Would really appreciate that if you get time. thanks again
hi there if you check out my video named just another gate build it shows how I mark out the curve on the gate
Hi, you didn't tell where would you get the wood from?
Noice one
Was the post plumb by any chance? Or did you have to plane the gate?
??
@@llCarpentry_Joinery for level Lewis
@@redzed40 yeah for level sometime brick might not be plumb
Nice one mate. Did you say the angle for a ledge and brace should be more than 45 deg or less than 45deg?
Should be less if poss... and that's for any gate..
Lowes joinery and spray painting specialist thanks 👍
I thought on the previous video you said the joist cross supports should be flowing from the tee hinges. These don't?!
@@davecostello560 First thing I spotted when he offered the gate up to the wall.
@@roadsafegb8740 but he said it wrong and did it right!
What did you charge for that ?
£100ish ?
Sorry mate i really carnt remember that far back lol was deffo more than that tho
