I've always loved Mike Scott's Voice, Songs and They more than Stage Presence, but a certain unique Style that his Voice and Music's Picture, Event-Like Lyrics that only Mike Scott and his team of Talented Allstar Musicians Belt out. Thanks for this interview. I finally got a chance to listen to your Story. I too am a Singer but You're a Singer and Guitarist. A True Super Hero of Inspiration for me and Many!
Always absolutely loved 'The Whole of the Moon' - it's a special song that really moves me and it's wonderful to 'meet' the guy who wrote it. Also amazing to find that his early influences were, in many cases, the same songs I was listening to myself as a kid, back in the 1960s.
I love the Waterboys and when Mike spoke about the Velvet Underground I must point out a fact that their unique sonic drones were created by the legend John Cale who left the band he created after a couple of Albums to go on to great artistic success as a performer and producer 👍 I must add one more point I wish Mike would return to the more Irish folk/ country style of music alongside the greatest fiddler Steve Wickham.
"KITES" was a song I would hear often on the radio and I heard it again after many years which brought me out in goosebumps. Big hugs to Mike, who sounds like he's a lovely Dad.

Just as Fantastic as you would expect him to be, m🇨🇦

Brilliant interview. I love your focus on the inspiration and emotion. Your music matters a lot to me. Fuels the spirit. Taylor's also.
Great interview from Mike as always. I like how he respects so many different kinds of artists. And he's humble and a true artist himself.
Love this Br Mike!!!
xXx!
Br Paul
Great interview with Mike
I love that he's into Mercury Rev, but sad he's not into Damon Albarn
Do I spy some Mackie Osbourne designs back there among all that cool lowbrow art behind the interviewer?
Simon Dupree became the classic prog group Gentle Giant.
Holes, dug by little moles... :)
An Ok interview that drifted away from the focus of him & The Waterboys. Probably a cut up version of the whole interview
I wish every musician out there would stop copying are borrowing from Bob Dylan. It’s been done over and over and over killed.
Bob Dylan is top plagerist. .He copied the hillbillies style of singing and even robbed lyrics from the bible . .whiney old git
