Just shared this with some friends on a large screen,,,,they're all loving it :) - it's the amazingly talented Mike Scott with his merry Waterboys in Dublin 23rd December, joined by Glen Hansard amongst others,,,,,,Happy Christmas to all,,,,give it a watch
Glad to hear you enjoyed Dublin, it can be something special : The Waterboys will be doing 4 nights in Dublin in November 2015, definitely worth checking out if you can get back for the shows
Great video--nice picture and sound quality, energetic and infectious performance. Plus, Nora gets her verse in this video--only live performance of this song I've seen where it isn't cut. Thanks.
...a song written in Ireland in the style of traditional Irish music. True, Mike was born in Britain but he's an adopted Irishman, immersed in the beautiful, inimitable Irish culture.
bossaddict Thank you for posting! I just noticed he didn't step aside to share the mic. I do love them all, I just notice Mr Scot likes to be front and center at every opportunity. i.e. Almost every album cover, lol!
I would give my right arm (im left handed)to have been there to see this! Glorious stuff this
This is what happens when the Scots and the Irish get together.....Brilliant! Well done to Mike Scott!
Absolutely, 2 of my fave ever songwriters and performers together, blessed to have been there for that one :)
I never realised I was Irish until I heard this amazing track many years ago. I'm still Irish every time I hear it.
Love them and love how much they enjoy themselves when performing
I was at this gig with my brother it was by far the best gig i have ever been to. They put on some show.
For sure, the Waterboys have always been a terrific live act, irrespective of which groups of guys Mike Scott has around him
