The most common reason for battery degradation is loosening of the cable pin, which is accelerated if you use the phone while charging, which many people do. A loose connection heats up the charging port and an unstable connection leads to the formation of something called dendrites in the battery. To check if a cable has loosened, use an app called ampere and compare the charging speeds with a new cable. Make sure the cable supports upto 2.1 Amps or warp charging speeds if using brands like oneplus.

The thing is, most of the time, by the end of the day, I end up with less than 20% charge, so by the time I need to charge it, I either have to do nothing and leave my phobe at 20%, which makes me only have a little bit of time on it, or go an overnighter.
