With the DiabloSport i3 or T2, you can use the 91 or 93 Octane tune, straight out of the box. Also check your area to see if there are any CMR tuners around locally, preferably with a Dyno. The unit will run you $380ish for an i3, or $600 for the T2, with canned tunes of 93 & 91 Octane included. I have not yet been to a CMR tuner, and you'll see why in my next video. It will work in your 3.5L Challenger and the 'butt dyno" should confirm that. Also, i'd recommend taking the car to your local drag strip and getting some baseline numbers.

Fly ya I feel ya! That shift is still a problem for me. Now the trans type of the car should be located on the sticker on the drivers side inside door. 4 speed is 42RLE. 5 speed is a WA580 or NAG1. Same thing. Chances are, unless you bought the DUB edition 3.5, you most likely have the 42RLE. Now, the DiabloSport tuner can’t tune the transmission on the 4 speed. That I know of. So... what I did, make sure the trans is in tip top shape. Good fluid, etc. At the track I always wind the motor up to 6200 rpm between 2nd & 3rd. At redline the change is smooth. As far as the tune, I love my 93 Octane canned tune. Also, ported throttle body. Either Jegs or MMX has a upgrade for the 3.5. Cost $300-$400. IMO, well worth it. Yes, but remember this… once you put in the 93 Octane tune, you’re not going to want to take it out! At over $4.00 a gallon, with a heavy foot, it gets kinda expensive. Not like with a Hemi, but still. And it’s not that you can’t go back to the 87 tune, you just won’t want to. Lol. But, yes, tuning that VVT 3.6, should get you into the 14’s! No problem. Also, you may want to pick up a BurnBox. Lots of guys lose time getting off the start line. The BurnBox will allow you to heat those rear tires up, properly, by controlling the brake solenoids. Giving you the ability to lock the front tires, while allowing the rears to spin freely during burn out. Then, you can lock all 4 wheels, bring the RPMs up to 2k, and when you see that 3rd yellow light come up on the tree… friggin Send It! You might just run a 14.5 or better! Good luck, bro. Lmk how ya make out, I’m curious.
This tuner will work for your 300. As for HP... I have no official numbers, but... my Butt Dyno and time slips at the track say, that after a ported throttle body, exhaust mods and pulling the air filter while at the track... THEN installing the tune, I gained a half a second. Good for about 10-15HP at that time. With out the mods you’d probably see slightly high gains in HP, maybe 15-20. i have a all stock charger 06 with the 3.5l do i need to modify something on it or i can just plug and play a DiabloSport i3 and have some gain with the tuning?
You can plug & play the 91 or 93 Octane tune, turn off the speed limiter and adjust the tire size. But... the more mods you make, the better the tuning could and probably will be. Heck, when I’m at the track running 1320’s, I take the K&N filter out completely, just running stock airbox.
93 is your best bang for the buck. The fuel is more expensive, but the benefits… fantastic! You’ll definitely know from the “butt dyno”. One thing you may or may not find, is the cold air intake might not be the best option. Unless it’s all insulated carbon fiber composite whatever. My stick air box has cooler air than an after market metal piped CAI. In cool weather, with a 93 tune in, you’ll def notice she’s got a little stank on the DL!
Hey pops , I have 14 SE if I get the Diablo tuner will it basically upgrade everything or pcm update will be enough ?... also if I don’t have cold air intake is it really a big deal ?
Hey Ant, so here’s the deal with DiabloSport. The unit I have for my car (the 3.5L) may have different tunes from yours (the 3.6) Your V6 has the VVT so that’s gonna change a lot. Now I can do a 93 or 91 Octane tune out of the box, on mine, yours could be different. The unit WILL definitely spice up the car’s performance and add anywhere from 5-20HP depending on your mods. And no, you don’t need a cold air intake. I like the stock box with a K&N, which I remove at the track and run no filter at all. But Only at the track! The not way to get great results from a CAI is to get the long kit and pull air from down under the bumper.
The SE I have came with basic everything No ones done mods to it .. no tents, no mods also standard tires .. any clue where I should start with mods ? Then possibly getting the Diablo last ?

Yes. Also removing the air filter during track time. Took out the back and passenger seats/spare tire. And, replaced stock throttle body to 71mm. All those mods took me from a 17.12 to a 15.6. Biggest gain was the tune.
Lol, no. However, the DiabloSport i3 only reads it out on the unit. And while Dodges claim was 250hp, it was making less before that. I’ve seen between 250-260. And runs the quarter at the stock setup claimed time. Around a 15.6. My fastest time yet. Without the mods, the car runs consistently a 16.6 or higher. Hell my first ever pass was a 17.18. So, yeah I’d say I picked up about 15 hp total. No way to be sure without a Dyno.
Also I know just how embarrassing it is to try and burnout or powerslide (safely) and forget you had traction control on. Or when you start your car and have to circle back after hitting 15 mph to turn off the traction control... And then have to turn your car off to get it back, lol.
Can you? Probably. Would I? No. I’m thinking detonation could be a problem. If you wanted to run 93 octane in an 89 tune, that would be fine. But it’s not the same the other way around. My DiabloSport i3 didn’t come with a 87/89 oct tune, either. Maybe, contact DiabloSport and see if they have an 89 tune for the V6.

Wht year is your charger?
2010. With the 3.5L V6
so you ended up making like 0 horsepower...?
What kind Exhaust/muffler did u put on it 🤤 ?
TotalFlow single in, dual out. And resonator delete.
Also I know just how embarrassing it is to try and burnout or powerslide (safely) and forget you had traction control on. Or when you start your car and have to circle back after hitting 15 mph to turn off the traction control... And then have to turn your car off to get it back, lol.
I meant can u run 89 octane with this tune
Can you? Probably. Would I?
On the PPT chip, you can run whatever Octane you want. Says it works best with 93.
Lol Sxt already run 89 without tunes
Thanks for sharing!!!!!

Nice vid, bro! Love the ride!
What do you guys think about putting a stage 3 performance chip for dodge charger Se 3.5 liter
Hmmmmm... is it a Thornton chip? I went with the Performance Power Tune chip off Amazon and the butt dyno DID record a difference from the stock tune of the car. But... for my money, just go out and run a DiabloSport i3 or something. 91 or 93 tune, you choose, can’t lose. For the money and features, it’s the best option in my opinion.
BigLockDaddy’s Garage alright man i appreciate it once my SE gets out the shop ima cop that dyno tune been hearing a lot of good things about it
Hellcat didnt take off on green or was his wheels just spinning?
Knowing I was a V6, he wanted to have some fun with me. He’s a regular at the track, and before the race I was trying to get as much of a head start as I could... 😎
min 9:29-min 9:36 ;..{
😂😂😂 Jose, lol. True. I can’t lie and I won’t hide it. Horrible burnout. Traction control. Got me a HP Tuners MPVI2, so... from now on I’ll be able to disable it at the track. Thanks for watching! And pointing that out. Made me laugh! Ty bro!
