👏😄 THANK YOU for distinguishing the difference in environment and how drastically it can affect performance! Dave and I are challenged up here in the thin over a mile high air!
Nicely done video and comparison. I had tuned a couple vehicle with HPT in the past. I think it would be good for people to see more of the journey where the real tunning takes place. Log drive, flash, repeat. Or dyno pull data log flash repeat. Explain the pros and cons of each and the path you used. New subscriber!
Awesome video. Gm is pretty straight forward, dodge/ Chrysler is a different animal.now I can’t wait till the morning to apply what I’ve learned. Thanks 🙏
Super interested in Diablo/Superchips tune. Would like a Trinity2 for my 21 JL 3.6 but do want to take it to a tuner for fine tuning and have my data logs looked at. After drivability with good millage since I do 5 hr drives back to the city.
Hi, If I seen correctly, You have changed VE tables leaving ANN enabled? If it's true, that means it was pointless, because PCM does not use VE, while ANN is engaged. Secondly, I'm not a fan changing injPWM, because you're changing real characteristics of injectors and making the tune inconsistent. True route is to disable ANN and then go with VE. Pops&Bangs in a long run will hit exhaust valves pretty badly. Late ignition, when exhaust valves are open or already closed (ignition in exhaust manifold) provides similar effect to knock, but from the other side, where surface is even not hardened. So it's not also a briliant idea. It's stupid to be honest. :) This is just my opinion and experience. You don't have to agree. :)
So yes I did change the VE tables for 2 reasons. #1 just the thought of see how bad that VE table looked was killing my OCD lol #2 it's set as a base VE table for future events such as a cam upgrade. I'm sure you know that the ANN isn't the best for when it come to larger cams. Ive have pretty good luck with injPWM but I'm sure you know every car is different just like the tuners who program them. For the pops and bags I am aware of the possible damage, when I do the cam I'm planning on going through the exhaust valves looking for any pitting or anything. Is more or less an experiment to be honest. But people like it and if a customer wants it the customer gets it🤷🏻♂️
@@DropTopPerformance I got Your point. I do think that aNN is better, but the problem is HPT did not published weights and biasses explanation, and probably nobody knows actually how to change coefficients of polynomials in dodge neural network to map the flow model? Tough task... Anyway, I'm glad you know what you're doing. Well, I went with the VE tables as changing them is logical. ANN is brilliant, but yes, there's no real chance of adjusting it other than blind guessing or asking the HPT for ratios. Is that make sense?
@@moparenthusiast2046 there's a way to kinda tune ANN its kinda the same process as VE tuning. But at the end of the day with it being a ANN I feel that even if I command certain parameters it will just revert back to what it knows. If you can I can email you or add you on Facebook to discuss the ANN tuning. Always enjoy learning and discussing interesting topics with people of knowledge! 😁
Thank you for replying, I read that you stopped tuning yourself and went to work for someone, I live in Canada and looking for tuning for my scat pack Challenger shaker 6.4, do you still do it or do I keep looking for someone? Basically stock, mid muffler delete and ported intake and throttle body, I am running Octane boost to get between 96-100 octane but using Diablo 93 tune?@@DropTopPerformance
@@staceyheskett4455 I did stop tuning under my own name and started tuning for a company. But I have stopped working for them due to time restrictions with my primary job. But I do tune on the side. But I only tune using HPTUNERS
Hello. Great video ! Did you ever run into Deceleration Pops mod problems with commanded throttle increasing? I try to do a burble mod on a 2016 3.6 V6 Challenger and the car opens the throttle blade from 3% to 30% and engine revs itself up . Car is ZF 8 speed Auto. Using HPTuners myself, but i am based in East EU and US cars are quite rare here. Not a lot of support from anyone :( Best wishes !
Yes so the V6 cars sweet spot for the pops on deceleration is a little different for the V8 cars. So if you want to send me the tune file message me on the Facebook page and we can get your car figured out😁
Man could you email me a tune for my 2010 charger srt8!? I live in Seattle and like a dummy I put a thumper cam from compcams in this motor that I installed into a 3.5L v6! Along with deleting the kats and muffler and adding long tube headers now I can't get the freaking thing to just idle..I'm screwed
Wow. Ive always watched people tune via hp tuners bit never had someone really explain it. Nice video. Thanks for the mention!
Thanks buddy! I love HPTUNERS there's just soooo much you can do!
Been wanting a video like this for so long
Yeah, im curious to see how each translate on the dyno. Maybe I'll do a video of that

Its crazy to me when people will try and argue this🤦🏻♂️

What would you recommend for a Jeep JL 3.6L DiabloSport or HP tuners?
Great info. Do you do tuning in Florida for people? Looking for someone to go through my Ram
Awesome video man! Keep up the great work! Really wanted to see how our tunes stacked up, and totally looking forward to that new nitrous tune 😬
Yes sirr! And thank you very much😁
Nice job, maybe videos on your plans for each vehicle, what you've done, and what you have left?
Not a bad idea!
