    Keeper Jan van Beveren should be on this list as well. By most people regarded as the best goalie of Holland ever he had to miss the FIFA World Cup 1974 due to an argument with Cruyff. In 1978, when Cruyff didn't go to Argentina, he was injured. Because of his argument with Cruyff he had to leave the country and live in the States. He died in poverty. What a hero

      @@rezakhelghati Everything you mentioned , Krol has achieved:
      International achievements: Two times World Cup runners up 74 and 78;
      neither Koeman or Rikard came even close in that regard.
      Appearances: Krol hold the most caps with 83 caps, until Aron Winter took over in 2000, if I am not mistaken.
      He scored a goal (not the own goal against Bulgaria) in 74 World Cup; neither Koeman ( in open play, not a penalty kick against Germany) or Rikard did in any world cup.
      Club achievements: two CL (the older format) titles in 72 and 73; could have easily been 3; had his leg was not broken in 1971.
      Individual awards: In 1979, he became the 3-rd best player in Europe on the Ballon D'Or's list after Keegan and Rummenigge; neither Koeman or Rikard came even close.
      Legacy within football: If I am not mistaken, Krol was Franco Baresi's role model as a Libero; neither Koeman or Rikard have been role models for players at the level of Baresi.
      After Beckenbauer, Krol is competing with Baresi , Bobby Moore and Elias Figuera for the title of the second best Libero/center back of all time.
      Neither Koeman or Rikard are mentioned in such discussions.
      So, using your own criteria, I don't understand how you decided to exclude Krol from this list and add Koeman and Rikard instead..
      Also, Van Hanagem was the 2-nd best Dutch player in the 74 World Cup after Cruyff.
      He was a much better player than Seedorf.
