    Beckenbauer gerd Muller Matthaeus kohler Thomas Muller Tony kroos ... there's many more but those are the ones that really stand out for me

    This was an interesting list, however i wish you had mentioned Karl Heinz Rummenigge as well!

      It's true, it's usually difficult to put people in a ten-man list because you can always add other people, like Jurgen Klinsmann, Paul Breitner, Rudy Fuller, Sepp Meier and even others, because the Germans have had so many great players. In any case, thank you for your interesting comment.

    Where is Fritz Walter? His career began before WW2 and ended in the late 50ies. Because of WW2, being PoW, and FIFA penalties against Germany, he was robbed of more achievements, yet he was the captain in 1954 and won the World Cup.
    Imho, he and the team of 1954 had more impact on German football and Germany itself than anyone who followed later.
