Austin appreciated music when i played there in the 80’s we used to do really well at liberty Lunch and the Continental I was in scruffy the cat The guitar player who took bob stinsons place in the mats (david minehan) produced our first album
"Mybabyshesallright" is one of my favorite songs from the 80's! Y'all played in Tallahassee in '87 (I think), but I couldn't go to the show. I was so bummed to miss that show.
I was/am a big Scruffy the Cat fan. I opened for you guys in my band The Exchange at Frankie's in Toledo OH in the late 80's. I was impressed that your guitar player was playing through a little Fender Champ (6 watt tube) amp and it sounded really good! We used to listen to Moons of Jupiter on our cassette player in our van on the way to gigs.
Lived here for 15 years and I couldn’t agree more!!! I‘ve seen so many legendary bands come through that I feel lucky to have seen….and the crowd….lazy spoiled bums
"Cerebral rape and pillage in a village of his choice. Invisible man who can sing in a visible voice." If he came from the the deep south would a bib Paul wear.? Flying solo in a ghost ship called Big Star.
Paul's got my old guitar from high school! (I know it's not really mine, 'cause I wrecked it in the early '70s, but his looks just like it - a Gibson SG Jr. from about 1967. That thing was magic!)
Yes. I was. But you can't really see me on here. I was tucked away in a corner. Actually I guess it was the right balcony if you are standing on the stage looking at the crowd. I love the Mats!
That performance was so full of joy. Amazing.
I've always been so obsessed with Paul's voice, it's perfect
Dick Fuckington cigarettes and booze!

Gotta love Paul Westerberg.
The love that is expressed with their play makes this so amazing - thank you
Still poking fun at southern crowds with bibs. Hee Haw.
Fuckin priceless Paul!!
He's wearing his Alex Chilton uniform.
This song is so kickass!

Paul looks great here and oddly
kinda happy.
With him that's kind of a sign that the reunion wouldn't last, LOL.
My grandpappy had those Hee Haw coveralls.
love the exuberence
Daamn. Would die to see them!

I hated scruffy the cat and actively worked against your band because I'm wealthy

How could they not appreciate this? That's crazy. Killer performance.
@@mike04574 At an ACL event? The Replacements? They sure as hell should!
Wish they had gotten Tommy Keene for lead guitar, he absolutely smoked on the Replacements tunes on the 1996 tour.
Amazing he can sing this with a mouth full of Nicorette. Love Westerberg.
He jettisons the gum at 2:17. Mickey Louse!
