I was born in MN in 83. If it was a decade earlier I could caught these guys at their peak. The songs are fantastic. These guys are solid gold. Best of the American bands.
I relate so hard to that. I was born in 84, and they're my favorite band of all time. They played their final show on my 7th birthday, but I live on a different continent, and I didn't even find these guys until like 98-99 ish. But hey, at least we got to grow up in those awesome years between the end of the cold war and the beginning of the war on terror. That's something. Even though it's not as good as having seen these all timers in their heyday eh :))
This was a sad chapter in my life. I took a promotion opportunity with my company and moved away from home yet again. In a new city. No new friends. Nothing but work. Weekends came and I was alone yet again with no one to hang with, eat with, go out with. I was alone in my 1-br apartment. But I had a kickass stereo and I had my CDs. I would crank on this song and I was there among thousands of Replacement fans.......back home in Minneapolis..... if only for a few short hours.
Why the Replacements weren't as big as U2 I will never understand......blame it on the Record companies.......because the Replqcements really shine on.
Paul only rocker that can rock ugly golfpants n make it acceptable,, Tommy like let me borrow the jacket mates,,we gotta keep Minnesota ragstock store in business, alright gigadeee goo
That's the way it always should of been...a welcoming and grateful crowd singing their hearts out along with the band

These guys were the soundtrack to my life........man.
Met them in RIchmond in 84-there were 10 people at the show. Paul and Bob bummed smokes from us and called everybody 'Berks'.
Same here since

You’re a lucky man to have grown up with that music! I’m 25 and could only have wished for that.
@@patrickoneill8248 Yes, in regards to that timeframe in music I would have to agree with you ....
@@j.b.williams4117 wow.....good stuff...
These guys were and are great. Paul Westerberg is a musical genius.
Tommy is the coolest guy to ever pick up a bass

El verdadero rock alternativo
Got this on Sire Records Compilation CD: “Just Say Yes?” Or was it “Just Say Yo!?”
Love how they sound like The Kinks.
It was a perfect night.
hell yeah
What happened to the water tower?
These guys broke up on stage at one point in the 90’s

It was Paul
Read the book
Self destruction was the norm 2:20
They’re much better than U2. I feel The Replacments’ songs have aged better than U2’s.
To think how EPIC they could have been... They are great but they could have dominated.
BURT REYNOLDS!
Rock City Rollers.
I love Paul. I hate Paul for firing Bob. I love Paul again. I miss Bobby's inbelishments. No Bob, no Mats.
Bob was a beautiful monster but he had to go to save the band, sucks but alcoholics destroy everything they love
Drink Grain-Belt
I live in New Jersey, but every time I visit family in Minnesota we only drink Grain Belt!
