Great video! I took the M993 (@ 2k a pop) and a T-5000 to woods yesterday and was sniping Shturman and his guards from dickhead. It seemed I was missing several of my shots when I knew I was aiming perfectly. Raid ends and I landed 14/15 shots! The rounds were going straight through them and not doing enough damage to kill them in three or four shots each. I guess that's what I get for not doing my proper research on a new expensive round before using it.
Scav boss and guards have majorly increased hp pool compared to scavs and players so if you dont headshot them they eat bullets, bosses have 70 hp on their head so even certain rounds don't 1 tap
.308 DT MDR was my favourite gun by far with M62 rounds. Haven't played in a while so no idea if it's still good, but the bullpup made it so nice for CQC

TpZ Fmj is my go to scav killing round. 1 taps to chest with almost as much flesh damage as nosler, and if it doesn't auto open thorax on the first shot, it will on the second. M80 definitely if pvp is involved at all. And if it is the focus, m62 or better
This is why I'm running a FAL on most maps (unless it's CQB since a modded FAL is such a long boy) M62 is a great round. One downside however is that since it's a tracer it can give your position away. I play a lot of night raids with NVG's and the green tracer of the m62 shows up SUPER bright with goggles. I've killed people because it leads a perfect trail back to their firing position at night. I personally split my mags 15/15 m61 and m80.
I would love to see .366 AP tested. I have been using it for about a week now and 8/10 fights I get into it just destroys people wearing less than class 5 armor despite being pretty cheap to run.

You mentioned in one of the vids that you are open to requests, so here I go: Please consider doing a testing vid with a slight twist on the obvious. Most of us (as evident from my examining the magazines of my kills) do not mix high penn and high flesh damage rounds in a magazine. Most of us (myself included) go for the best penn ammo we can afford at the time. I would find it very enlightening, if you could test high penn rounds in the 7.62x51 family for effectiveness against unarmored players. By doing so, I am hoping you could determine which is all-around most effective round delivering acceptable performance in both categories. If you have already done something like this, and I have missed it, please direct me to it and accept my apologies for not paying enough attention. -zcs-
Can you do a test on how rounds cause heavy bleeding? The high damage hollowpoints in game seem to make me get bleeds on enemies more. I shoot player scavs in the leg with Nosler and they wander off to bleed out.
Question, do you think that armor should be buffed? Aka TTK or time to kill should be slower? Or the other way around? Cuz when I see a 2 tap from a full auto gun my head sorta spins lmao.
Thanks Vox_E. Question, I had a buddy tell me that the recoil multipliers seen on the individual bullets (such as m62 having a -5) and m993 having a +8 don't actually do anything. The gun shoots the same recoil levels and predictable patterns regardless of the round you use. Is this true?
Not at all I tested it, basically it tranlates to Full Auto only with the distance from first shot to 2nd/3rd being obvious with rounds that have higher recoil.

Thats why m62 is king. Damn near always pens and its a two tap to the chest or single headshot. Cheaper than m61. Only downside is the buy out cap at 100. But i stock them up and switch between m4 55a1 and sa58 with m62

IMPc Level 55+ here and have been using M1A exclusively for a majority of the wipe. M80 loses effectiveness because you can’t hit chest like that reliably. It’s a good budget round, but there are way too many hit reg issues and bugs that can screw you over. Shot a naked 15+ times in Factory because of the forearm bug. If it takes 15+ on M80, might as well just cut it shorter with M62 and save the trouble of dying because someone tanked your bullets.
OK so this proves I'm not crazy, everyone else is crazy :p I almost never see anyone using M62, only M80 or M61. Never understood why no one used M62 because it has wicked pen and almost the same damage as M80. Much cheaper than M61... I'd assume people hate tracer if not for the ubiquitous use of BT.
M80's former meta dominance was mostly justified by its ability to 1-tap chests on clean penetration with its 80 damage, but the change to chest HP really steals that away from it.
R ZP M80 never one-tapped though, as armor reduces the damage of rounds that pen it by a slight amount. It could only ever one-tap unarmored opponents. 7n1 could one-tap, but not any more.
i always use tpz and m80(only if avaliable) and i think it is a really viable cheap option for 100 rubles or less per round bpz is too bad tho just because the low armor damage and 31 pen but tpz is way better with both

What I dont get is why m62 1 taps everything. Are you just getting lucky with the killa helmet becouse it over pens by 4 points? or am I missing something.
I have been rocking .366 AP for about a week now, and it is a really hard hitting round. . . until you run into a very geared player, then it falls flat on it's face mostly. You really have to knock down the recoil on a 209 to make it viable against more heavily geared players because it's just class 4 pen, so you are going to have to leg meta or lay into their armor and prey you break it before you die. . . which normally doesn't happen. It is a fantastic budget round though. I would say on Customs, it will win you 8/10 fights, and is devastating against anyone wearing less than class four armor. It will chew up scavs like nobodies business with it's 90 damage.
i was trying m80 for a while in factory and the amount of times i managed to get a 8+ hit count on people wearing lvl 4-5 was SHOCKING.... people just eat m80 the arms in this game are ridiculous at times.

Interesting, I never thought to use higher pen rounds so that it just zips through the armor and doesn't scuff it as much so you can pick it up, will keep that in mind
M62 has been nerfed as of 12.9 from 52 - 45 pen meaning it’ll perform slightly better than m80.

I was running TPZ early wipe when i didn't have access to M80. Went pretty well for the most part since nobody was running super insane armor.

M62 is my all time favorite, it has a lot of penetration and damage. I like running bolt-actions so the tracer is nice as well.

M993 I believe takes less from the durability of the opponent's armor. That's just my theory though I didn't test it nor will I intend to haha.

That round is crazy! It's basically the same stats as 7.62x54r 7n1 but with no recoil.

M80 didnt go thru the face shield on first shot but 9m always go thru..
Since they've recently patched the flesh damage to work correctly, i'd def love to see the test done post rework.

I think its only apparent when its very high, for example on shotguns for magnum it aim punches you really hard vs all the other rounds
Then go try 7.62 ps and 7.62 US. The us has -30 recoil. Youl notice a difference.

Why use M80 over 7.62 BP in a AKMN? It does everything it does cheaper but better with 30 round mags. All of x51 is pointless for ratting now.
