I thought it was ok after the buff so I tried. The very first raid I dumped a 30 round mag on someone, 21 hits and I didn't kill him. So technically he could've melee me because I need to reload. FML
used a pp-19 full auto once on customs, used pst gzh, ran across two guys with ghzel and zsh helmets. less than a mag later and 5 seconds of combat, both were dead... sooooo the choice is yours.
One thing that greatly affects how many shots an armor or helmet can withstand before letting a bullet through which you don't seem to consider here is the material of the armor. The most clear example is with the Altyn and Maska face shields. The Altyn is combined materials, which has a much higher durability multiplier than the Maska's armor steel. This can be the explanation as to why it sometimes take fewer rounds than the Altyn. The same goes for the comparison between the Gen IV and Slick, combined materials and armor steel, respectively. Great video though, practically very helpful!
I'd recommend trying to use 7.62x39 ps early (cheap) or if you can 5.45x39 bt isn't awful and it's fairly cheap if you have flea market as is bp but bt is a bit better. Sadly all ammo puts you at a disadvantage at this game unless you shell out big time. It's very silly
8:29 this is the armour glitch reincarnated. I died to two Luger rounds in the thorax wearing a full durability slick vest not too long ago. My squad picked up my gear and said the slick was zeroed.
How about walls, doors, shipping container etc. A lot of players forget that certain rounds can clear a closed room or slot someone hiding in containers.
I have recently just started using the PP-19 and only using PST-GZH but now after seeing this I will definitely be purchasing AP/7N more often. thanks for the video.
Don't sleep on that 6.3 , with the 7n being so rare I would toss a few rounds on top of a mag filled with 6.3 that way your first shots are nasty and those are the more important shots usually anyways.

As far as AP 6.3 goes i just use it to get through face shields. Especially when using a Glock 18 or MP9 it makes it easy to get at least one hit on the face.
Armor really needs reworking. A Slick plate carrier should stop basically an infinate amount of low caliber ammo (pst gzh) but it should only cover a very small portion of the player. A zhuk-6 on the other hand should cover the entire torso but break extremely quickly due to it being made out of ceramic.
Lets see what happens when customizable plate carriers/rigs/vests come into game. How they vision it that we have these plates we players decide where to put and if bullet hits the plate, then game calculates the armor related stuff (pen, ricochet, blunt damage, flesh damage reduction etc) but if you hit between the plates it goes thru. Also if you hit body missing the armor then it goes straight into flesh damage calculations. They are gonna tweak helmet hitboxes to be more accurate too. If you see ear sticking from side of the helmet and you are shooting the ear from sideways position, you are then hitting straight head - not helmet like you currently are on some of the helmets. We shall see if they can achieve later what they are visioning atm. They also might redo how armor calculations are done so maybe higher level armor might be able to sponge more bullets.

tried getting back int Tarkov since 12.7, ran an MPX with a magpul front grip, several 41 rounds mags of AP6.3...wow. stuff destroys. costs more than the gun, but, insanely easy to use on Factory and such.
I actually sniped Killa with GT rounds before, he glitched out and stood still and it took 170 rounds because he kept healing. I almost ran out of bullets messing around Interchange with mp5 and hundreds of GT lazer ammo XD. His face plate had to be zero'd out before I killed him and it took forever....
I’ve been running quakemaker with an mpx. It’s absolutely nutty. I run the 6b3tm-0tm class 4 armor with a penis helm and running leg meta I have been SLAYING geared dudes . I got a 8 kill interchange raid only leg meta last night. Rip is superior though
I think that the PST Gzh is a good option against SOME scavs because of good flesh dmg in other situations it's pretty useless or you have to count that your opponent doesn't have any face cover.
It indeed is a good/great early wipe ammo since you only/mostly face scavs and low armored pmc's. But in few days or few weeks into wipe it harshly starts to lose its usability. Also if you only run guns with that ammo you pretty much limit yourself going against bosses and raiders if they come by (you can but they are much harder to handle with this ammo... hopefully you got mosin or huntr from scavs before facing bosses.. or you can try get 1 of the guards/raiders down and maybe its either far enough of behind well enough cover so you can loot some alright AK for example to finish rest of the bois). (Also grenades can be handy at these times).
Me and a buddy just placed a match on factory and we just took pistols, I took the kiver helm and face shield with some lvl 4 armor, my pistol was a m9 with luger ammo, I didnt know luger was flesh damage ammo so when we got a hilarious drop on 2 guys I shot the first guy I saw, and his gear was the same as mine kiver helm and lvl 4 armor, so I unloaded 5-6 shots in the back of the head and then the rest to the arm and back, He didnt die. lol I will now cherish this vid and knowledge that... I suck at this game
I have a theory regarding why some higher class armors might take less hits. I didn't read through all the comments to see if anyone mentioned this, but I wonder if the type of armor material might play into increased or reduced protection in combination with the armor class.
i think something gets lost with just testing a single shot style against armours. the whole big aspect is full auto at lazer precision on these guns that allow you to spray people's heads with 10-15 bullets before they can even fire 1 back. this is what makes even PST actually quite effective 10-15 bullets to the head will kill all but essentially killa/altyn bois which you see what 1 in maybe 150 raids.
7n31 is basically the BS rounds of 9x19's. They're the best, and definitely worth it, but at the same time AP rounds are just really great for the price they have.
Quakemaker sub sonic? In that case you should hardly hear anything when you fire them through a silencer and that is not the case, the developers should know.
Sure, but the silencing that should happen is not reflected in the game at all, Its just as loud as a super sonic round going through a silencer. There is significant less noise from a sub sonic round compared to a super sonic round at least in 9mm.
Great video, the shot going through the head of killa helmet shows how fucked up the netcode / ballistics is in this game and has no reliability at all in terms of fights, sad.

What happened with AP ammo dealing less flesh damage?? It was a nice balance before, that if you took high penetrating ammo you may need an additional hit to kill (on targets where the non-AP ammo will still pen). The 7n31 is straight up OP. (And no cost is not proper balance, as there are many tryhards with more money than they can use).
hi vox & friends, a couple of things: when you were shooting the Killa facemask, is it possible the bullet could travel through the eye slit? i know you said you went back to test it, and also mentioned that maybe it was bugged. i thought that could that be the reason for the face shield taking less shots than the altyn. it didn't look like you shot through it but i'm really not sure with this game lol. on topic, i was asking my friend if he knew anything about the armor coverage and where it protects you. i was under the impression that the armor didn't necessarily protect you in the spots where it visually seems like it does. he said (well, he wasn't 100% sure, but he was pretty confident that) it protected you exactly where the armor was. he's been playing longer than me so his response piqued my curiosity. for example, Fort Defender 2, Zabralo, Gen 5 full protection - they all have a flap over your weeny (and the Gen5 FP has one over the butt too). they all have Thorax and Stomach protection listed, not legs. if you get shot in the weeny, i would imagine that counts as a leg hit since there is no "groin" health bar. i wouldnt have thought those flaps would actually be mitigating leg damage since it's not actually listed in the item's information. I feel like I should also mention that Gen 5 also protects your arms, but it doesnt go past your forearm. if my friend's statement was correct, wouldnt the Highcom T4 armor offer less protection in comparison to something like the 6B13? wouldn't it be more apparent that armor worked the way he said it does?
im pretty sure that armour isnt as 'real' as it seems. my opinion is that it is just a damage modifier for the body parts listed in the description. So instead of it being a physical barrier, its more of a damage reduction modifier for your thorax, stomach, etc. What im saying is that you are basically the same hitbox as you were before, but with armour, the parts it says in the description are protected with less damage.
I've actually tested this with some friends. The best example of what you're talking about is the SLAAP armor plate. We shot the opening where the mount was and the back where it looks like nothing is being protected. The bullets were stopped by the SLAAP. Armor hitboxes are defined as the zones they cover, nothing visual (as of right now) seems to indicate where coverage is. Its defined by hitboxes.
Your opinion? Its know that's not how armor works? The pen of the bullet and the class and durable of the armor changes the penetration change. And if it pens the armor it does most of the damage from the round and if it doesn't it does a small amount of blunt damage

i ran 9x19 since like lvl 5? its been really good to me the m9a3 and the mp5 theyre also needed for me to level up the american trader. which is a bitch to rank up.

I notice you never tested the high damage ammo on armors at all. I'm under the impression that high damage bullets will break armor durability faster even if they have no pen, plus apparently fragmentation is a thing, though I don't understand it. With 100 damage and 100% fragmentation, how does RIP ammo compare to the penetration ammos?

At the current state in the wipe, being new and low lvl (14), is it better to go with PST and try to shoot people in the head or go PSO and leg meta?

You still hear the round exploding in the chamber. That's the biggest problem when trying to make a silent gun.

if my friend's statement was correct, wouldnt the Highcom T4 armor offer less protection in comparison to something like the 6B13? wouldn't it be more apparent that armor worked the way he said it does?
im pretty sure that armour isnt as 'real' as it seems. my opinion is that it is just a damage modifier for the body parts listed in the description. So instead of it being a physical barrier, its more of a damage reduction modifier for your thorax, stomach, etc. What im saying is that you are basically the same hitbox as you were before, but with armour, the parts it says in the description are protected with less damage.
I've actually tested this with some friends. The best example of what you're talking about is the SLAAP armor plate. We shot the opening where the mount was and the back where it looks like nothing is being protected. The bullets were stopped by the SLAAP. Armor hitboxes are defined as the zones they cover, nothing visual (as of right now) seems to indicate where coverage is. Its defined by hitboxes.
Your opinion? Its know that's not how armor works? The pen of the bullet and the class and durable of the armor changes the penetration change. And if it pens the armor it does most of the damage from the round and if it doesn't it does a small amount of blunt damage

@@Mankdeems1 thanks man. this is how i saw it too. i could not believe that the hitboxes were somehow tailored to each individual piece of armor, and not just a damage reduction to the whole area as armor implies it is.

This was so useful. Lmao ran into a juiced player the other day almost positive it was an Altyn helmet and some lvl5 armor to match.. I gave this guy a solid 35 shots! A mix of mostly headshots and chest. With pst and got killed in just a few bullets. Was so mad

7n31 is amazing, but they'll probably nerf its damage because right now its a bit op.

I notice you never tested the high damage ammo on armors at all. I'm under the impression that high damage bullets will break armor durability faster even if they have no pen, plus apparently fragmentation is a thing, though I don't understand it. With 100 damage and 100% fragmentation, how does RIP ammo compare to the penetration ammos?
Idk but i magdumped a guy with UN armor (quakemaker) and it didnt kill him. He was fucked up, but Alive.
