    This really turned out great in the end. Puts me in mind of one estate sale I took my mom to downtown. The family owned 5 houses on one property and they were all full to the gills. I kept thinking the lady never missed a sale, clothing, cloth, purses, shoes, food you name it she had it. The last day they had a push, pull, or drag sale. Everything you could get across that line in one fell swoop $10, My little PT was stuffed lol. Inside and outside, put mom in the car and put more stuff in where she was. Had so much fun that day, was a great time. You have a great day,

    general estate sale strategies...I sell tons of stuff by doing well marked box lots....when the sale is over if you contact folks who have spaces in antique malls I sell entire rooms of stuff for one price........everybody wins.....left over furniture sells quickly via market place of craigslist....as far as letting go of things....you have to accept that some people will get steals...not just deals in order to clear out a house.....and wishing you a Merry Christmas.....!

    Funny story..... there is a chirping fire alarm in this video. We had to replace a battery in one of ours yesterday and while watching this video we kept pausing trying to find which of our other alarms also needed a new battery..... ended up replacing ALL of the batteries!

    Hi, George. I have heard about you from Jocelyn The Crazy Hat Lady and have enjoyed your Estate Sale so much. I have given you a thumbs up and subscribed. I love Estate Sales but at the same time they make me very sad to see a family's lifetime collection of memories and belongings and that breaks my heart. I am 69 and ill and one day soon I am going to have to do this and I loved the way and you and your crew treated all the items with such love and respect. I live in Miami, Florida, do you come down this far? I don't have any junk but I do have a couple of rooms full of books and sewing related stuff like 11 sewing/embroidery machines and six large armoires full of cotton fabrics, etc I was so touched with your great care and respect that if anyone needs to sell all my stuff, I would feel so much better if you did it. Thanks for your colossal efforts George. I recently had to change the battery on my smoke alarm in my home. That chirping alarm, that was present throughout your estate sale videos, was exactly the same as what I experienced when I put the wrong brand of battery in my device! In tiny writing , under the lid of the smoke alarm, it stated that it must be a Duracel or Energiser battery,& I had inserted a No Name one. The penalty was a device that chirped at me ,every 40 seconds, for nearly an hour, till I worked out the error. It must have been very frustrating for all concerned to have that going on in the background, for two weeks!

    I can't understand how the owners stored, used, could find where they put or came to own so much stuff. You and your team are definitely professionals.

    It's been so educational and enjoyable. Are you able to purchase on your own account, or is that conflict of interest? Hope you get some rest, a great christmas meal and perhaps some presents.

    • @TheAntiqueNomad
      @TheAntiqueNomad  4 года назад

      It is a conflict unless arranged prior to the sale with the family directly. I usually don't buy out of my sales until everyone else has had a chance to buy it, unless there's just multiples of the same thing enough for everyone to have

    This kind of sale would never happen in a million year on my turf. Been to ONE in 25 yrs!

      Wow! It's different in different places though, in some parts of the USA estate sales are unheard of as well
