    With the seated overhead press using DBs, some of your viewers might find it useful for an explanation of pushing the DBs up off of the legs near the knees and possibly with slow-motion photography. Please note, using DBs for overhead press work is much more difficult than using a machine.

      Not if you move slowly through each repetition, holding peak contraction for couple seconds before lowering weight again"and squeezing you muscles as if your life depended on it. You do this and your shoulders will be on fire. Quality over quantity.
