The school that is at Knotts berry farm in Buena Park California...was originally in the city I live in...Pico Rivera California... Was named Maizeland school...as a kid, we used to pass by the old school often, to go to the old town store, which, unfortunately has been torn down. But I'm left with good memories.
Fascinating discovery! I’m amazed they allow you hands on access to all the relics. Oh, the glass top coffin served two purposes. First, to view the deceased. And secondly, to make sure the individual was indeed dead. If they were comatose their breathing would fog up the glass. Very interesting video. Thanks you two!
Absolutely awesome! Enjoyed every minute! Thanks for all of your hard work providing great content. Looking forward to Sundays! Your biggest Tennessee (formerly California) fans!♥️
My grandfather helped build an old country church here in S. Centeral Mo , its the only church I have ever went to. Every Sunday my cousin and I got to ring the bell, just like this one, Brought back some good memories
The Mock Frontier Town reminded me that when I did solo route 66 trip during the pandemic, I stopped in Red Oak II Missouri. It is a replica of 1930 town Red Oak that was built in 1987. I really enjoyed walking through the town. I felt like I was in the 1991 movie Fried Green Tomatoes with Kathy Bates.
This town was an absolute gem of a find!!! Everything looks so well preserved and kept up!!! The antiques as well as the buildings housing them are phenomenal!!! I totally loved this village!!! Great find History Hunters!!! Thank you for posting!!! Attaboy, History Hunters!!!!
Don't know how you do it but you find some very interesting sites along the way. This one was especially interesting & very Americana. Thanks Jeff & Sarah.
That was great ! Can't believe the open door accessibility. God Bless these people with trying so hard to keep history alive. Thank you Jeff and Sarah. Cheers from Detroit 🇺🇲

What a gem of a place this is, so interesting. I can't believe they let people just wander around. There's so much merchandise! Thankfully, we have people, like your guide, Cliff, who care about preserving the past.👏 I have never heard of this place. Hopefully, your video will help promote awareness, Jeff and Sarah. I really enjoyed this. 👏🤠🌟👏
Wow, I'm so envious! It's not on our path to the Farmstead in North Dakota, & we're always in a hurry to get there & spend as much time as possible before getting back to California, but I would sure love to spend all day at Dobby's. ---The La Purisima Mission here outside of town also holds historical tours with the 5th graders(?) from all the region. I'm impressed that the grade schoolers get a real taste of American history at Dobby's.
Another Fine Sunday Morning on a virtual road trip with Jeff & Sarah. And we find another little small town attraction that lands on our road trip bucket list. Good Morning Y'all!! 🤓👍🇺🇸
I work in the funeral industry, so I found the funeral home most interesting. There is one in Bodie, but no one is allowed inside. Dobby's looks like a fantastic place.
This is a fun and interesting place. Stumbling on these little “finds” while road tripping is refreshing. These old gentlemen are a hoot! I can understand why it is taking them years to build a livery stable. since it is free and they operate on donations it seems that someone would organize a group to donate their time.
Now that's one place I would have loved to visit with you. As a kid dad would take us to Knott's Berry Farm, park amongst the berry vines and wander around the old town. I have a picture of my little brother and I sitting in an old stage coach. What a delight that you just happened on this old place. The funeral parlor was creepy.
Wow! Great show this one! Would love to visit one day, but alas, I am afraid my road trippin' days are over. So fun to visit vicariously through you and Sara! Thanks guys!
Looks like a fun way to spend a day. LOTS of interesting relics and artifacts. I love how your guide has a real passion for the place! And Sarah, I would have had to hang out with that kitty for a bit, too!
Hi guys ! Awesome little old town ! Love all the history ! Nice they let you in all the buildings to see everything ! Great vlog ! Thanks ! Cute kitty ! Surprisingly Sara didn't take it home !! LoL ! Take care ! Deborah Canada
Thanks for watching! No more cats are needed in our house. LOL. In fact, Hamilton rules the roost and wouldn't allow another intruder! Glad you liked this pleasant attraction!
What an interesting find. Seeing this recreation of a historic town was quite interesting. I like that he was willing to share the origins of the various items with you. I hope they find some younger volunteers to help them out so this can carry on when they are no longer able to keep up with it.
Great seeing you and Sarah again that was a great episode I got an old 7up bottle that went in them pop machines I used to get pop for 10cents from them machines slide them over and pull them up my grandpa had one of them horse drawn hay stackers he and my mom farmed with horse's till 1959 then he went to a H and M farmall the bank was cool with history God bless you and Sarah and family stay safe in these crazy times sending you all love ❤️
Such cool nostalgia in your recollections! Thanks for sharing them! When I was a kid I used to stick my face in those open vertical doors of the soda vending machines!
Fantastic Jeff and Sarah? Reminded me of all my visits to Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, Ca. I would go to the Steak House to eat and stop at the old toy train shop several times a week . I worked just down the street from Knott's. Love your show!!
Yes the log ride and most of all the old fashioned candy store!! I took home lots of long licorice ropes and cinnamon, horehound hard candy sticks 2 for a nickel in the 1960s and early 70s! Yummy, I miss all of that when Knott's was still only an old fashioned ghost town!
I love these places! The old west is fascinating to me. I will keep this place in mind when we go visit in western Kansas. It's not far from Nebraska. Thanks once again for sharing our wonderful history. 😊
Hey Jeff and Sarah. You're in my homestate of Nebraska. I'm from McCook. I have never heard of this treasure. Lived here for 65 years. I was sure I would travel the state for my retirement and be impressed. I had no idea! This is so cool. I can't wait to see it in person. Thanks for the tour.
This is a diamond in the rough! So amazing! I especially liked the dentist office, funeral parlor and bordello. 😊 My Mom played piano/organ by ear. If she was at that organ you might hear “In Heaven There Is No Beer!” Thank you for taking us on this visit!
Great discovery. Nice to see their dedication to keeping history alive. I'm only amazed that they can keep the upkeep on the places alive - on just donations or small sales.
Thank you for the time you spent going through this roadside attraction! We watched another RUclipsr that we follow go through here this summer, but he didn't have as much time & there were a lot of people around too. Seems like Sarah really enjoyed exploring all the buildings!
I wonder how many people have passed this treasure by on their way to somewhere... I'm glad you guys stopped! If I'm ever in that area (doubtful but you never know ;) I'll be sure to stop by. Thanks for taking us along and thanks for the hard work you two put into each video. My Sunday morning is now complete. 👍👍

Hi Jeff and Sarah thank you for sharing a another great video. That looks like a neat place to visit. That is a place that I would like to see and it was nice to see Sarah. Love ❤️ and blessings Larry and June and Laurie
Oh my goodness, love this gem you found! We actually have “Ghost Town” in our area. A family purchased many original log cabins in the 50’s, put them in a half circle and made each into a jail, store, livery, etc. my favorite area as a kid was Boot Hill with a 👢 sticking out of a “grave.”
What a lovely place with a lot of history hidden in each building. Amazing how far some folks go into keeping the history alive. Loved the video Jeff and Sarah and thankyou for sharing it

Wow Jeff and Sarah...my kinda place..to be able to roam freely and touch and see up close the many items...we're all used to everything being roped off..absolutely cool place..thanks for taking us along for the ride..😁
Hats off to you Jeff & Sarah for taking the time to show this. And a BIG HATS OFF to the men at Dobby ville for maintaining our history of the old west. I definitely give this a five out of five Jeff.👍👍👍👍👍🤠🇺🇲
Most historic places don't let you actually go inside the buildings and touch things. This was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing this little discovery with us.
That was a fun video. Sarah ringing the bell reminded me that this summer, my daughter and I went up to Old Town in Santa Fe and did the tourist thing. There is a church called the San Miguel chapel that has the bell inside. The sign out front had on it that it is the oldest Catholic church in the U.S. The docent handed my daughter the hammer and said to ring it. She did it very softly and the docent said to hit it harder. By then a group of people had come in and were snapping pictures of her ringing the bell. She was embarrassed, but was a good sport about it. It was a fun day. My family and I are from NM and have been there several times, but it's still fun.
What a wonderful exploration! A fabulous tour with lots of really interesting buildings and relics. Great museum!! Thanks so much, Jeff and Sarah for taking us along! It was also a great added feature having the gents relating stories! Simply awesome!!
God Bless you Sir and Sarah as well, You have shown you are not judgemental and are impartial, Something this country needs so badly,By interviewing the man in the hat at the town and not denying his input, You are the first example of true journalism no matter how small of an example,That I have respected in a long time,You sir and you too Sarah are an example of how a story should be told,You didn't judge,That goes a long way with me,I'm 66 years old, .Seen a lot, You have impressed me.

Grand discovery. Loved that you could enter the buildings. Thanks for sharing. It was a very interesting experience online, it must have been even more so being there. Stay well and God bless you both.
That was a great roadside stop! Very much like Knott's Berry Farm way back in the 1960's as I remember it (but, without the jams/jellies/preserves/etc). Thanks for taking us there with you!!
You were right.....I LOVE THIS PLACE! It's incredible to be able to see all of this history close up. I'm blown away. I can't thank you enough for sharing this wonderful piece of history. And many thanks to the two awesome gentlemen who are so devoted to maintaining it!
This was interesting. Some of the things that you saw and touched were really old. You both were pretty freaked out when you went into the Funeral Home. I laughed! It is great when older people back in the day, would go to all of the trouble of finding and building these types of locations. We are fortunate to be able to still to go see them. If you remember that in the movie, "Silverado" with Kevin Costner, the jail cell that they had him in was also a flat bar type of cell. Remember how Costner's character was hanging and swinging around on the overhead portion. When I saw the jail cell in your video I immediately went and watched some of "Silverado" to confirm the cell in the movie was made from the same type of flat steel. I really enjoyed this show and am glad that you and Sarah had stopped and checked it out. Thanks for doing that and then showing us. Howdy from Texas!!
The school that is at Knotts berry farm in Buena Park California...was originally in the city I live in...Pico Rivera California...

Grand discovery. Loved that you could enter the buildings. Thanks for sharing. It was a very interesting experience online, it must have been even more so being there.
Stay well and God bless you both.
Thanks! We had a blast there! God bless you too!
Love the old timers hat!
Finding interesting places is a great reason for road trips!
Very interesting episode. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to go over so many details.
That was a great roadside stop! Very much like Knott's Berry Farm way back in the 1960's as I remember it (but, without the jams/jellies/preserves/etc). Thanks for taking us there with you!!
Very interesting, thanks you for sharing.
Thanks Linda!
You were right.....I LOVE THIS PLACE! It's incredible to be able to see all of this history close up. I'm blown away. I can't thank you enough for sharing this wonderful piece of history. And many thanks to the two awesome gentlemen who are so devoted to maintaining it!
Wonderful to hear, Barbara! I kind of thought you might appreciate this visit because we sure did! Thanks for your feedback and encouragement!
Hi Sarah, missed you last time. Interesting town and very hands on. See you next week.
It was a pretty cool setup!
Very good! Thanks
Thanks friend!
Very interesting little place. Thanks for sharing.
Good deal! Thanks for the comment!
