  • The Building a Milwaukee Icon Exhibit is now open at the Harley-Davidson Museum!
Learn how the Juneau Avenue factory came to life in the early 1900's as Harley-Davidson went from producing just over 1,000 motorcycles in 1909 to manufacturing 27,000 motorcycles in 1920. A century later, this building is still the home of Harley-Davidson.

My 2013 Ultra Classic is my long-distance Electra Glide dream machine. Every year since I bought it in 2012 it takes me on na month- long road trip as well as being my daily rider. Runs like a champ, love this bike. Thank you American workers for providing my dream fulfillment.

Thumbs-UP #61 I am, Monday late afternoon 9 September 2019! Thank You, for building my 2001 Sportster! I FINALLY attained mine in early summer 2019 have never loved a motorcycle more. A few more changes and it will be the bike I have wanted since I noticed your factory racer Scott Parker. You really should bring production of your Motoclothes back to the United States.

Maybe Harley can step up, and re-open the factory in Kansas City, and put hundreds of faithful workers back to work, instead of taking that biz abroad. Employ in America.

De Ba, the Kansas City plant was shut down because, the Vrod and Dyna models were discontinued. The Dynas, Vrods and Sportsters were built there. They went back to York for final assembly of all models.(Touring, Trike, Sportster and Softail) They didn't shut down Kansas City in order to open plants overseas. The bikes that are built overseas stay out of the U.S.. The shutdown was planned a few years ago. Some of the people at Kansas City were offered jobs at York.

The point is, HD is big enough to keep the plant open and keep those faithful employees employed. They actually did attempt to move manufacturing abroad. Harley needs to stop such an emphasis of marketing to millennials buried in student loan debt, and take care of the faithful who’ve bought & rode HD for years.

Need to update this. As of 10-22, HD plans to repurpose the Juneau complex to retail, leased office space and other things. More Harley Heritage down the drain.
