So what's the Emperor like?? 😉 Congrats on 10 years at Apple, and for going full time brother!
Nice chap! Kept going on about some new branding slogan incorporating the word 'plebs' or something like that...
One of your most heartfelt unboxing there, Stu. You really captured the emotion and privilege that is bestowed on but a few.
I’m still representing out here in the UAE.
I love that I was able to share in your Apple journey for so many years.
Best of luck in the future.
DT
Thanks brother! Glad to know you’re succeeding and thriving out in UAE still! 💪 Miss you! 💚
Incredible news Stu - both going full time and having made 10years at apple! It explains that missing bit of your reviews and I’m keen if you also go back in time sometimes. I have a lot of apple stuff and I know why I go for them (not a fan boy and sometimes frustrated) , so keen to get your take on all the kit ;-).
Thanks miles! Certainly being considering doing a retrospective look at older devices!
Congratulations on going full-time Stu!
Always enjoy your concent, keep it coming! :)
Thank you!
Best of luck on your full time reviewing journey. It will be fascinating to get a genuinely different take on Apple’s products going forward. Also looking forward to the hits and misses of the past. Just more reasons to keep following your excellent tech channel.😃
This is the most shocking video ever on Stu’s Reviews
Thought it might be…
Congratulations on the 10 years pal, I only managed half that in the microwave interior! Enjoy your freedom. 🤘🏼
Thanks brother - hope you're well 💚
I had never noticed the lack of apple content until you mentioned it. Super happy you are able to make RUclips your full time career but would be very keen to hear some stories about your time working at apple
Very cool! I feel like looking back on these videos is going to be like an ARG and I'm here for it. And congratulations on 10 years.
thanks for your soul and the last 10 years, please accept a lump of metal we have no idea what to do with. Congrats and love - Tim Cook.
At least the BBC gave an extra weeks holiday every year after 10 years 🤣 but they were reluctant to give me my soul back when I left.
So if you work there for decades you’ll hardly be at work 😂
@@Cornwall1888
Do you mean at Apple or the BBC? 😂
Absolutely incredible!! Congrats on 10 years with Apple, Stu. That special Apple award looks very cool indeed. Must have been hard to keep quiet about it all for so long!
I’m off to find all of the Easter eggs 💪🏻🤣
Haha cheers roger 💚
I didn't put one and two together but I did think to myself that all the reviews you do would be beneficial to large tech companies like Samsung or Apple. Congrats on the 10 year mark! Looking forward to what more you have to share about it!
Haha! Well now you know! First apple episode coming up real soon!
Me too! I worked in Apple Retail from 2009 to 2019. Good on you for moving on to the next big thing.
Amazing! Brothers in arms! Where were you working!?
So cool to watch this Stu, huge congrats on becoming a full time RUclipsr and thank you for all the discounts (and laughs) you gave us when we visited the Apple store.
Congrats on going full time dude! 💛💛💛
Thanks brother 💚!
Genuinely didn’t expect that! Honestly I just assumed you didn’t review apple stuff cause there was already so much coverage of it. Would love to know your opinion on the new MacBook Pro
Enjoyed watching that video Stu. Lovely award.
I have always loved the thought of wanting to work for Apple.
I always thought your channel is very unbiased and it’s nice to see another whisky lover as well. 🥃 I understand about the hairline by the way. I have similar issues.
Congratulations on going full time on RUclips.
Ever since I partitioned my HD for Bootcamp and Windows, my iMac has been shutting down intermittently.
Looks like I could have used some Stu genius to set it up and partition. Learned to live with it though.
My fave Apple products were the toaster shaped power Mac G4 CUBE and the first gen white iPod Nano which came before the 1st gen iPhone was a thing (I think). Seemed revolutionary to me.
I boot into Mac OS for midi music production/ daws and design and Windows for the Microsoft apps and office-ey stuff
(Thanks and hope you're well!).
Funny, I’d noticed your iPhone but wondered why the lack of Apple reviews…can you say what role you held before leaving that lets you afford the castle? 😂 Having only entered the Apple ecosystem since the 12 Pro Max, I look forward to your thoughts on their products going forward!
Hey Stu, well done. I ran/owned an AASP from 2012 to 2022, 4 of those as a PSP. Good work man. My question is, does Apple ever employ Genius or other store members in their 50’s?
Looking forward for the future videos. More importantly good luck and enjoy the new chapter in your new career!
Thanks Roland!
Been here since around 10k you make great content keep it going stu! Watch 95% of your videos
You are incredible 💚🥃
I did 2 1/2 years a few years ago left in 2016, I enjoyed it but was the black sheep with my moto G handset lol
Congrats Stu! 10 years with any company is an accomplishment worth celebrating.
Cheers Tim! Its been... long! haha!
I had that ipod nano and that exact watch strap. It all was quite comical with the giant 30-pin connector to charge.
Oh yeah it did! I forgot that one still had the 30 pin! Took up nearly an entire side 😂
Congratulations matey! Onwards and upwards! :-)
🚀
But you did show us, which drop you picked !!! ... And I would have gone for the bottle Kilchoman on the shelf behind you :p Oh .. and the easter egg hunt is just a sneaky way of increasing your watch time. Genius.
Gotta keep that audience retention! There's some absolutely genius hidden ones! Check out the PS5 review... you'll never find that one.
And Kilchoman is very... very nice.
I’m a former Genius from R121. 2010 to 2015.
I still have all my lanyards.
I used to get my shirts in XL just for length.
I bet we could share some war stories.
Remember “Get to yes.”? Or was that North America only maybe.
I do remember that phrase. Not necessarily the direction after 2015 though! And XL was like wearing a sack for me. I might be tall, but im not super wide (or i wasn't when i started anyway)!
I won't be going on a search for Easter eggs because to be honest... I hadn't even noticed the lack of reviews of Apple products hahaha
I love the variety of products you review, specially those where you get to open new stuff for half an hour hahahaha
Keep up the good work mate!
Wow, I could've never guessed. Well done
Thanks yannick!
Congratulations Stu!
Thank you!
I own that Nano, and a few straps. I still get tempted to wear it. You have my sub!
Was wondering after working with you, and you told me your Channel why there was no apple reviews, best of luck with RUclips full time Stu, from the former security guard!
Cheers Jordan 👍 hope everything is going well!
Hi from AC AHA Stu, Good luck in your future endeavors!
Thanks adam! 👍
Congratulations on going full time. I wish all the very best for the future of the channel.
Thank you rich! 💚
Congratz Stu! Gotta admit - a bit jelly of that award. Not as an apple fan (which I'm not - they are OK).
But this month marked the *20th anniversary* at my current employer.
Besides a few shares of stock that I have to pay taxes on, they couldn't be bothered beyond a standard template e-mail. 😞
Oh dear... 20 years though is amazing! That is an achievement in itself and a huge testimony to your resilience and dedication! Well done man! 🎖
@@StusReviewsUK Thank you sir. That means a lot, truly. 👍
Were you recognised in-store much as the world famous ‘Stu’ from Stu’s reviews?
Yes actually! Quite a few times!
I’ve only just recently started watching your video and love your videos keep up the great work. One of your best videos was the Ikea eneby Bluetooth speaker review.
Welcome aboard! Out of interest... why is that particular episode your favourite?!
@@StusReviewsUK ikea eneby 30 was my favourite, your reaction to the sound quality and bass was priceless
I also make reviews on tech products although not high quality videos as I have yet to learn
You got the infamous iCloth! That monolith has earned the right to sit by the PRO Display XDR.
Its actually slightly different! The iCloth is mostly flat... this has a textured apple logo covering most of the surface!
@@StusReviewsUK ohhhhhh. Then it is truly special. And Thanks for answering two years past.
"Hello" 😎
Congrats on the award and breaking free...
And this is the guy that guessed it 👆
Love your work, looking forward too whats to come!
The Jeremy Clarkson of Tech worked for Apple!?! Didn't expect that! This is like finding the Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear worked for Ford.
I look forward to your upcoming videos! Keep up the excellent work!!
Haha! This is such a good comparison! 😂
Never saw this one coming stu, very interesting video 👍
Congratulations chief, excited to see what's next. Have my sub, it's not much but one closer to the 100k.
Hi Stu, I was wondering if you still like the Adventurer 4 printer. I'm looking for a first printer and this is among the ones I'm considering. Could you please comment on the noise of the printer, the smell from the printer while printing (does the HEPA help?!), and the overall suitably of the printer for a complete novice?
Ahahaha... BEST> STU> VIDEO EVER!!!! ... Challenge: review "Steve Jobs" by Walter Isaacson... avoid legal loophole!
i think i found the perfect guy to ask. Stu, i'm looking to upgrade my 7yrs old Lenovo laptop and for the 1st time ever i'm considering an Apple product. I have no idea on what to look for but i think i want the M1 chip, something for documents handling, occassional school projects for the kid and something that can handle video editing as well. no, i can't afford the upcoming 14inch or 16inch Macbook Pro with the M1 Pro or M1 Max chip. your recommendation is highly appreciated.
Well done Stuart, going full-time on RUclips is an amazing achievement enjoy every minute Sir.
Many thanks for all your support 💚
Incredibly chuffed for you going full time. Keep on smashing it.
Welcome to the iStu’s reviews!
Oh wow! We didn't had a clue! Congratulations on going full time here!
Haha! Thanks Pia - ive been keeping this close to the chest! And you wont be seeing the macbooks just yet, a few pieces of apple content coming up i want to get out of the way first!
I don’t remember the grey shirts. Don’t really like them. I really like the new blue color and small Apple logo. I liked the 5c as well. Bought a white one. This was a great video. I love the fact that you kept all those cool Apple artifacts. I have a red nano and black watch strap. Lol. Your 10 year plaque is “Amazing.” 👍👍👍👍👍
Yeah it was an odd 6-12 month run of those grey shirts!
Happy 10 years mate
I remember you promising to do a video on your editing setup with the M1 Mac Mini (I have one, so am interested in your setup) .
I did a desk setup which does run through some of my editing process… did you see this;
ruclips.net/video/Jp2XOgzGx-s/видео.html
@@StusReviewsUK Yes saw that 👍🏻I commented that I was looking forward to you doing something re the Mac Mini specs :-). Probably doesn't matter as I got one anyway hitched to a Dell 32" curved 4K monitor.
Congratulations on your 10 years at apple. What was your best apple product and what are your best and worst customer stories. That could be an interesting one. Great video as usual and glad to hear that you are going full time
Good question! Definitely a great idea for an episode... I can tell you now, that I've seen some things that would turn most peoples heads haha! My favourite product we've released has to be the iPad 2... such a ridiculously big change from the 1st gen it absolutely blew my mind... other than that - you'll find out this week!
@@StusReviewsUK sounds interesting. I’ll look forward to it
Do a review of the 2010 White MacBook :-) I bought one in 2018 and upgraded the RAM and added an SSD, its still a very capable laptop.
Stu. I'm shocked. I would have never guessed that you worked for Apple. I noticed that you didn't do reviews of Apple products, but I just thought it was because you weren't a fan, and everyone does Apple reviews. Congratulations on your 10 year milestone with Apple, and Congratulations on being able to leave!
Haha! Cheers Brent - everyone does do them you’re right! I do still try to cover some ‘mainstream’ products from time to time, such as ps5, Xbox, galaxy fold etc- stuff that interests me!
From left to right - Pick number 4 in the thumbnail looked like it was a rough year.
From left to right - all the years were rough years 😂
Waiting for reviews and insights of yours about 🍏 (Stu’s Reviews Green 😂) 👍
Been working at Amazon for 6 years... time flies! I'm not too far off from your tenure.
Oof! Heard some interesting things about Amazon as an employer… taken with a punch of salt obv!
wow. mad respect man! I suspected, but never guessed it.
Haha! Told you it would blow your mind!
Of course there was “just one more thing”…if not, you would have been an Apple employee! 🍎💜
Working for 10years for apple and not speaking about Apple products on a RUclips tech channel whereas it could be one of the easiest thing to do to generate clicks and revenues...either it is a proof of your personal ethic or you were under a contractual obligation of loyalty preventing you from speaking (even positively) about their products...
I opt for the first;)
Anyway, congratulation and good luck for going full-time on RUclips (I though it was already the case to be honest). I hope that you will be able to Keep what make your channel unique according to me, that is to say the fact that you are not speaking only about the most famous brand and mainstream products and that you make us discover plenty of little (or not so little) tech products.
Bit of both really! Nothing stopped me 'speaking' about the products... As long as it wasnt in an opinionated capacity... I just thought it wouldnt be appropriate, and create a bit of a perceived bias. Always striving for a balanced review for you guys 💚
@@StusReviewsUK this confirms that I like your mindset and the spirit of your channel. So far the balance is according to me (and my personal taste) perfect. And even if I am not that much interested in Apple products (their products are very nice pieces of technology but I do not like the closed ecosystem and the price/quality ratio) I am pretty sure that I will from time to time watch your videos on their products (for the pure pleasure the technology) as I am confident that you will continue being honest and balanced as you seems to be.
Greetings from France and again, I wish you the best of luck!
I hope all those books behind you are copies of the NDA. I kept every single shirt we had in the hopes to do something creative with them. I’ve literally just shredded all of them for rags before I take them to the charity shop haha
A friend used her daughter's discarded work shirts and wove them into a rug. Made her daughter laugh.
@@bfree2read that was the plan, to do something creative but I could never be arsed haha
😂 Every single one is on employment law for sure 😂😂😂
When’s the secret lab titan durability test video my man? But keep up your great work though and I wish you well.
It’s coming it’s coming!
Also I hope you get your hands on a xl titan 2022 cause as a tall big guy it’s the best chair I’ve ever owned and has fixed my back problems and I owe it to your excellent reviews to convince me to buying it.
Congratulations on making the leap Content Creator. Looking forward to your Airpod Pro review! ;)
Congrats on 10 years! That's a cool award. Do apple do a staff discount? 😉
Great question ... for fear of a lawsuit, a politician might answer something like - every place ive worked ive never *not* had a discount. 👀
You're absolutely right. I am staying because of the whiskey.
Speaking of easter eggs... I remember when I tried to say "red juicy fruit" juice in Twitch chat during a Stu live stream and was attacked by bees. Not real bees, of course, Apple Bees. (Did I go too far for that word play Stu? Sorry)
Boom! Well done 🥃. A semi Easter egg there… all mention of apple and words associated were banned from both RUclips and twitch at the time, so that I’ve anyone posted even something like, ‘I’ve seen you in the fruit store’, it would auto block it! Bravo!
@@StusReviewsUK You sir are a rebel and the cause. Good on you :D
Comgratulations on your 10 years and thank you for your Stu’s Reviews. It has helped me at least once on getting to know a new product and making the decision to actually ending up buying it.
And the monthly unboxing is so fun! Thanks Stu!
But more importantly… thank you for watching Stu’s Reviews! 💚🥃
Awesome news Stu, love the channel.
Congrats on 10 years!!! That's a lot of dedication!
Anything you can say about the apple AR/VR project?
🕶
Congratulations man!
Thanks brother! 💚
Do all employees get this after 10 years or just management?
Well done Stu. Always enjoy your videos.
Congratulations and well done
Thanks dan!
Wow! You worked at my local Apple Store and to be honest you was always great 👏🏻
I wonder if they employed every boxing technique they've ever used on that thing.
All of them! And they even had the polishing cloth in it before they sold it to the public!
I worked at apple for over 5 years. Glad I had the experience, not sure I could go back now.
Congrats on the award, Stu! The skill you used in putting on that white glove, made me think that you might have also been a proctologist too, but maybe this was just a side hobby.
I worked for an industrial electronics parts store for 34 years. I didn't get anything when I left, but enjoyed working there.
Congratulations mate
Thank Jonathan!
During your time with Apple, did anyone ever come up to you and say… “Hey, aren’t you that Stu’s Reviews guy?”
Certainly once or twice!!!
Can you tell us how you grew your career over the years? Are you the store manager now?
Gradually, and will lots of patience! And unfortunately i am no longer there, as working for Apple and being a youtube content creator wasn't sustainably compatible. Maybe I'll write a book on it all one day! 😉
Took the Wife to an Orchard this weekend, we looked around at lots of Trees.
Turns out, it wasn't the Apple Watch she wanted.
FU Apples.
Do you keep the uniforms ?
I did do, yes,
👍🏼 Thanks for replying
Congratulations mate, well deserved.
Congratulations on all your success 🙌👏✨ 😀🙌🥳🥳
Thank you so much!! 💚
Cracking Video 😜 congratulations
Is a Lanyard even a Lanyard if it doesn't have a sim pin, sharpie and a few pin badges attached to it ;) Oh and the credo in the back
Depends on the person. I opted for a more clean approach. And no to the credo. Absolutely not.
@@StusReviewsUK Working in the Family Room, a sim pin was a must, also one of those otoscope when i was working the bar :D
Wait... I feel like I've seen you in the cardiff store once?!? and I never really thought about.
😃😃😃😍😍😍 congratulations!
This might explain why I couldn't talk during our podcast when you lot started chatting apple! 😂
@@StusReviewsUK 🤣🤣
Next podcast that’s all I’m talking about 👁
All that packaging and anticipation for a block of metal. Thought they'd at least give you a free product 😂 Well I guess it would sell well on eBay to some Apple fans!
👀 you aren’t wrong about the packaging, although selling is completely out of the question. Took me 10 years to get it… I’ll enjoy it for a bit longer 😂
Non disclosure lifted 😉
Congrats on getting out of there!
Thank you brother. Hope you're still smashing it with your own YT stuff 💪!
What a great surprise Stu ❤️….. why did you leave Apple 🍏 ? have you gone RUclips full time or was it time to do a diff job ?
A few reasons really! Mostly because I was ready to pursue Stu’s Reviews from a full time capacity, but also being there for 10 years - I’d gone as far as I wanted to go within apple, so found myself stagnating a bit - and I learnt years ago that you always need to keep moving 🏃♂️
@@StusReviewsUK thanks for everything you do …. And hope you really enjoy ur next chapter …. Brilliant as always stu ❤️
Which branch did you work at then Stu ?
What do you think of Louis Rossman's videos?
I think they’re great! However his views are rather extreme. I think the balance is somewhere in between because if everything was built like Lego for ease of repair we wouldn’t have some of the fantastic designs and form factors we do today.
Right to repair is all very well and good - providing it doesn’t get in the way of progress. But then, progress is subjective!
Hii Stu , do they offer permanent position to seasonal specialist
Depends on the circumstances. Historically they have done!
