The narrative grabbed my whole attention. I couldn't stop watching this video. This is how video should be done. Again, congratulations to the narrator; shows passion in his words.
Very well made. Good Job Brian and Jon! There needs to be more on Tim Cook and how he literally saved Apple. One thing I think could have had more coverage was despite Steve’s innovation he couldn’t launch products. Products were always delayed. Steve had to always shift teams to get even one product properly launched. With Tim there beside Steve they were able to launch multiple products on time. Tim is truly a supply chain and operations guru.
I was moved by the moment when Tim Cook expressed his appreciation for Jony Ive. Initially, I had doubts about Cook’s leadership, but after looking back at how Apple came to be, I began to understand his vision. When I heard about Cook stepping down in the near future, I felt uncertain. However, that uncertainty brought me into realization of his success as Apple’s CEO. Thank you Jon & FPT crew for this wonderful documentary.
This is one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen. Well paced, well written, beautifully timed and delivered. Phenomenal work. Just saw this on my feed and decided to watch it. I’ve been a fan of Tim for years now. Seems like a humble, down to earth guy, who happens to be a brilliant businessman. I’ve been using Apple products for some years now and they’ve absolutely enhanced my life. I have an iPhone, AirPods, Watch and Mac Air; and the best way I can put it is that all of these products add incredible convenience to my life while being extremely simple and reliable to use. Apple has the best technology ecosystem in the world and it’s absolutely no surprise that they have the money that they do. I can only assume Craig Federighi will be Apple’s next CEO. It would be well deserved!

Incredible documentary. The original footage was sharp, relevant, concise and very professional. Extremely well written and it's a new very revealing look at what Tim Cook has done for Apple.
Incredible summary and articulation of the success of Apple under Steve Jobs and Tim Cook as well as the transition between the two. Great work Jon and Brian, you’ve done it again
Steve Jobs was an inventor, a creative person. Tim Cook is executor, a logical person. Tim Cook stretched the heritage of Steve Jobs to the max, and then he couldn't proceed forward any longer. Apple tried to remove the charger port of the iPhone, they failed because of the physics or, better, because they didn't know physics very well. Apple tried to build an FSD car, but they failed because of a lack of inventive capabilities; Steve Jobs would have selected the right type of dreamers to write the FSD software; Tim Cook couldn't do it. But he knows how to utilise the human personality; the watch is a masterpiece of how an human trait - vanity - was utilised to create the need for an useless product which is the showpiece for the persons which are very careful to the image they project. Apple may fade as a damp squib if they don't invent a successful product of the same caliber of the iPhone.

So I worked at Apple for 16 years under both steve and Tim. I have mixed feelings about this. Tim is a brilliant operations guy. Best I’ve ever seen. But he isn’t a product or marketing visionary. And that’s really what drives Apple. Tim has lived off the fumes of iPhone. No real innovation since steve. He’s driven sales and increased revenue. But the magic is gone. Most of the executives have left.
I don't think I have commented on any video I've watched on RUclips so far, but this time I can't help myself but want to say that this documentary is the most inspiring thing I've watched so far in my life. 👏🏾
This was so good that I imagined myself taking the reins and giving my first Apple speech as CEO in front of a massive crowd and I shed a tear IRL. Very moved.. thanks.
I am one of those that never experienced Apple under Steve that you mentioned. Honestly hearing that Tim is just a few years from leaving Apple sounds scary? It feels weird having Apple without him since this is the Apple I grew up with. Apple without Tim doesn’t feel like Apple. I guess this is what it was like for everyone else when Steve Jobs died, probably even stronger… But like Tim did after Steve, lets hope the next CEO proves to be as great as the two before him
I’m very sorry for you. Apple under Cook is not Apple at all but just a husk. You should have been there when Jobs dropped the “i” from “iCEO”. The shivers we got back then were quite something. I can only imagine feeling joy for that company in that sense once more when Tim drops the “CEO” from *his* title…

This is an AWESOME documentary. Well-paced, music, your narration - even made my eyes a little misty. Jobs laid the foundation, and Cook built the skyscraper. It was the shortest 30 minutes of my life behind a documentary. Seriously, we don't have this level of quality on the French RUclips. So, from France, thank you for this amazing job, and congratulations for all the work you've accomplished.
What a perfect homage to someone like Tim. Let's face it, Steve has been gone for 13 years now, in which Tim has been at the helm. It's time we recognize his efforts. In the world of controversial, overpaid, tabloid smeared tech CEOs like Elon, Jeff and Mark, Tim has flown under the radar by comparison and its commendable. I know people say that Apple stopped innovating after Jobs' death, but that's simply untrue. And this well-deserved documentary proves that. Tim was the perfect successor and I know Steve would be proud.
True. He might not say it publicly if he was around considering HIS personality. But Steve will be darn *proud* of what Tim has achieved because he might not be able to drive Apple to what it is as a company now. He might not be able to stare down the US govt on issues like privacy heck congress might even investigate him or something. Or work with increasing authoritarian figures in China or hitches in manufacturing in India and Steve might throw fits. For now Tim IS the figure that Apple needed and true enough he's the greatest gift Steve may have for all of us admirers & consumers alike. And to consider what he have said that he has his own doubts that Tim might to be the "fit" CEO for Apple as per that Isaacson book. But the bigger challenge is who will be next in charge at Apple, someone with enough gravitas to drive the company for say the next 25 - 40 years to stay at the top of the game.
can't really compare him to elon, jeff or mark. they are founders, owners, and innovators therefore there is much more public interest and focus on them. tim has taken a role in an established company, albeit a behemoth, and has done a great job as an employee as is a similar case with microsofts ceo.
@@danielius6863 you actually can compare because all are CEOs of very large tech companies. you’re right in pointing out the differences between those that i mentioned and Tim himself. there is a difference for sure, as Tim is not a founder. but to be the CEO of the worlds most valuable company and remain unproblematic by comparison is worth praising. not to mention he was CEO at the time they even became that valuation.

This is a video that doesn't deserve to just be on RUclips. Truly amazing.
10/10 this literally gave me the chills like 10 times, please make more of these.
From the comments the documentary seems almost orgasmic for everyone …
@@flovonzitzewitz6121yeah it’s kind of weird.
The move back to Apple Silicon - the M processors - no fan, genuine magic.
It's a very well made, well written and presented hagiography of an extremely successful computer maker, that makes good premium products (I use them and like them). If it's one of the best documentaries you've ever seen you need to see more documentaries. Just trying to add some balance to the frothing here
@@keithposter5543 just giving the man credit where it’s due. You seem to put aside the fact that this is RUclips and not some mainstream media company. Meaning the guy making it is independent. I’m sure the budget is limited…
@@shawng4886 Fair play - not a criticism of the doc maker, just saying there are an awful lot of properly good docs that have been made over many years 😉
Wasn't expecting it to be this well made. Kudos to the whole fpt team who worked on this!
This is so well made, from the audio to the perfect edits. It gave me goosebumps. It’s been a trip down memory lane, bringing back the excitement I once felt when watching those announcements in my younger days.
This man is doing something not many others do, this is refreshing. His growth over the years is off the charts!
I don’t know if you hit your 10,000 hours yet or not. However, you and your team have created and produced something wonderful, informative and very compelling. Bravo!
I regularly remember this documentary in the same way you reminisce about an incredible movie you have watched at a theater. I just came back to rewatch this video. It is one of my favorite documentaries I’ve watched on RUclips.
Incredible documentary. The original footage was sharp, relevant, concise and very professional. Extremely well written and it's a new very revealing look at what Tim Cook has done for Apple.
If I watched this in a theater, I'd be on my feet right now giving you and your team a standing ovation. Bravo!
THE INTRO WAS SICKK! FELT THE GOOSEBUMPS ON ALL OVER MY BODY. 😩😩😩
This was genuinely so good, I mean, way above my expectations, very well done
Incredible summary and articulation of the success of Apple under Steve Jobs and Tim Cook as well as the transition between the two. Great work Jon and Brian, you’ve done it again
This video must get an oscar. What a production. The script, the sounds, the images, all is perfect. Congrata
Well damn, man!! That was nothing short of amazing!! You guys just laid down the gauntlet for creator made docs!!
Congratulations!!!
This is genuinely an awesome documentary. Well written. Awesome narrating. I can tell the amount of effort your team put in this.
Vanity is a perfect descriptor of Apple
Great comment, very well put
Easily you and your team’s best video…ever! The style (obviously inspired by the topic), the pacing, the quality of the research, and (most importantly) the quality of the storytelling. Just excellent.
Do more of this!!
This channel can’t stop improving the quality of each video they upload, especially the documentary-types videos. Even at 450k subscribers, your channel is still way underrated. Props to the FPT team
I don’t understand why this video and channel doesn’t have more viewers and subscribers!
Production value is top notch
Storytelling is on point
Research is 🔥
Jon, I've been looking forward to this since the teasers from Genius Bar. The time and effort for this video blows me away. Great job! Can't wait for the next one!
Literally had to choke back tears for everything after the 14 minute mark, so well done Jern! I appreciate the humility in putting one of your own clips criticizing Tim in there too, you’re a class act. Behind the goofball, you’re a heck of a dude.
What a masterpiece of a documentation. Im literally speechless. Amazing job!
The way I see them is, if Steve job is an unstoppable force that occasionally falls apart then tim cook is an immovable force that occasionally moves forward but never breaks down
I cannot explain to you how much I love episodes like this. The normal FPT is fantastic. But these episodes hit on an entirely different level and I cannot wait for more.
Can’t believe I just Rewatched this video. As an avid watcher of FPT, this is one video, that I’d watch outside of the toilet, on a TV , in a couch, with popcorns and drinks.
Bravooo🎉🎉🎉🎉
Holy shit bro, idk if you went to school for this or just were really passionate about this all I can say is you gave me all the feels as a human being witnessing all that I am lucky to in this lifetime but also as a consumer and Apple fan. Smiles, laughs, tears and even worry.. all of it and this is the true mark of having put out such an amazing Documentary. Shout out to you and everyone involved. Thank you. I will show this to my son when he’s of age and can understand what he’s watching for sure.
I usual delay clicking on videos at this time, especially one this long-But this one I couldn’t resist!!-Awesome Jon!!
Wow just finished it and I can’t believe how well built this was-I learnt so much about and the way it was presented was just spot on-Well done Jon-Please create more-I could watch this all day!!
It's plain as day to see, too. Very sad indeed.
What about the M series chips?
I don't think I have commented on any video I've watched on RUclips so far, but this time I can't help myself but want to say that this documentary is the most inspiring thing I've watched so far in my life. 👏🏾
Then you have to watch another, since there is too many of this and best than this
that transition from the intel chime to background music at 2:40 was great
I noticed that too. Fantastic!
Wonderful documentary. The quality and effort put into this shows. Great job Jon!
What wonderful content. This channel is really underrated. Who else believes that this guy deserves a million subs? 😅
Someone’s cooked here
Tim did
People: Apple isn't the same anymore without Steve Jobs. 🙄🙄
C'mon give Tim Cook the credit he deserves man...
Yeah
This video is an amazing piece of art.
Under Tim Cook’s direction Apple has innovated more than ever!
Product innovation at Apple died with Steve Jobs, sorry 😢
You guys have made documentaries before and continue to improve. This is the best one yet and incredibly well produced. Perfect balance of detail, history, excitement, emotion, excellence, and realistic looking forward. I don’t usually leave comments, but this is beyond worth it. Completely pro job worthy of network broadcast.
Holy crap. This was so much better than I expected it to be. Extremely well done!
This doc was truly outstanding. Better than most of the stuff on the topic Netflix or prime has made. Long live Mr Cook.
What a great documentary. I really liked this change of style. I love your usual vibe telling the stories using jokes, but this was a masterpiece. I enjoyed every minute of it. I hope you do more like this one.
I can already sense the incredible work and effort your team put into this work. Exceptionally well done to keep the audience engaged.
Truly remarkable piece here highlighting the realization that Tim himself is a legend for not only Apple history, but also for world history.
What a documentary wow 10/10
Damn you watched the whole thing in 4 mins!?
Such an amazing documentary that totally blew me away! The way you guys put together the visuals and storytelling was just mind-blowing. Hats off to the team for creating such an immersive and moving experience through their video skills! Great job! ❤
No Woz is a genius
put this on for background noise, ended up glued to my screen. amazing video
This was amazing. You brought many people a new perspective on what tim cook’s legacy is and will be.
This is by far one of the best RUclips videos you've put into the world! Seriously wonderful representation of Apple and its history and I appreciate it very much. I was smitten with the first iPhone I owned, and it was used. LOL You guys did amazing on this video! Bravo!!
Apple = Innovation + Simplicity + Quality
Great video!! Tim Cook was and is the right choice! He has done a great job. We are still getting excited about product releases, year after year, because of him. Hope he doesn’t retire anytime soon!
Man, this is one hell of a documentary, it is not easy to induce a sense of grandeur and scale with words only, but, I gotta say, I was getting goosebumps watching this, amazing work.
I don't normally comment on YT Videos, but you guys did an amazing job on this documentary. Well done!
This is an AWESOME documentary. Well-paced, music, your narration - even made my eyes a little misty. Jobs laid the foundation, and Cook built the skyscraper. This made me an even bigger Apple fan than I already am haha. It's just hard to imagine what else they could even innovate next, but I'm looking forward to being surprised.
Jobs built the skyscraper. Apple was huge before cook, lmao
Standing ovation. Excellent video! Wow. You did such a great job capturing his work. And I loved the little elements you included like the printouts of comments and articles.
Waiting online overnight before the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone X was actually the most fun I’ve ever had making a purchase in my life. So thanks tim for making screens bigger
This is perfect, great dive into Tim and how he got to where he today. Don’t think you could’ve included anything more. 10/10 would like to see more like this.
This is a seriously great documentary. Your presentation and story telling is magnificent. I came for the content but, your presentation superseded it - totally awesome!
Just the quality of the video alone deserves the world of respect 🔥🔥🔥
Perfectly said
Apple products since then.. dont have new things. A better camera is not improvement
Imagining Apple without Tim Cook is just as fearful and doubtful as it was imagining it without Steve Jobs.............
Thank you FTP team. This has been one of the greatest presentations you've produced. I salute you for the great work.
This is easily one of the best pieces of content every created, no hyperbole whatsoever.
