Well...I love Mr.Clint Eastwood too, just like everyone else.. My Dad worked for Clint many years. Finally I got to meet him, while living in Texas. The location was Austin filming A Perfect World.
My timing was perfect for my Dad to not be at his Grip truck! Waiting for my Dad walks up Clint, he looks at me, walks around me, says nothing. I thought, "Oh shit where's my Dad ? Clint has no Idea who I am . Maybe my Dad didn't tell production I would be there?" The joke was on me. I was so intimidated by his presence, I said "I'm waiting for my Dad, he is the Key Grip." He Put his hand out to shake mine ...like a geek I say" Nice to met you, Mr Clint Eastwood! " Needless to say, those that have met him know he can be a little intimidating in a gentle way! AND my dad set it up that way for me to meet the Iconic Actor!
What a great memory, I miss my Dad so much , he died in 2022. I know he loved his job. it was so much a part of who he was. When I see stories about Mr. Eastwood , I always think of my Dad and how he helped contribute to some of those great movies over many years! : )

Eastwood's movies are an example how to handle bullying thugs. He was always cool calm and collected with the bad guys an example of what happens when we don't panic in the face of mensising thugs. Like James bond and many other action heroes he played the parts where the character's brians was calm a good example of what happens to us when our brain is calm as ice. We can learn life lessons how to handle being bullied. A word of warning bravery can't faked. Everybody will detect a phoney immediately making things worse and more disrespected. A calm brian is the most powerful anti buying tool we can have.

Clint was a unique personality. I had often seen him at the studio, also knew that those who were crew members enjoyed working for him, and were eager to do another project with him if given the opportunity. My relationship with his office was also a good one. Quite often he would greet me before I could say hello. He reminded me of how James Garner treated his crew and everyone's push to get things done when necessary.

The only TV western I recall my mom ever watched was Rawhide. She loved Rowdy Yates. She never missed it. My fav Clint Eastwood movie is The Outlaw Josey Wales. Enjoy all his movies but from some reason, this one struck a serious chord. Bird had me in tears. Pale Rider, Unforgiven, Hang Em High, Bridges because I had read the book and found him interesting in the lead., etc the whole list.

Clint was a hero before we had any heroes . He taught us how to appreciate cinema and why we should. He brought out the very essence of the superb and gave it to us effortlessly. Somethings can't be learned but we benefitted from watching his films. He taught us love for a genre. That's his magic. He did everything effortlessly. Hats off to this legend among the many. Nobody else comes close or sadly ever will.

Clints defining role has to be "The man with no name", the character is so central to so many of his later films, and so beautifully revisited in "The Unforgiven".. The Dollar westerns were so beautifully shot, and Sergio Leones cinematography emulated in many of Eastwoods other westerns, especially "High Plains Drifter" .. The cemetery at "Sad Hill" from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" still exists, and is preserved by a group of local enthusiats, and that scene with Eli Wallach running around it to the strains of "Ecstasy of gold" from Ennio Morricone is cinematic art. And yet other more recent movies such as "The Bridges of Madison County" are so very different, and still beautiful in their own right; Meryl Streep was truly brilliant in that.

Why do people who leave comments on RUclips (almost invariably surplus to any requirement or interest, obviously) feel the need to put the word "ever" into their opinion - as if that in itself lends their ephemeral opinion some kind of gravitas. If you say "one of my favourite films which I've seen" it would be far more acceptable (barely anyone who says "best film ever" has actually seen of the best films ever.

So we must make our comments longer? Sorry, I should have said the best film I have ever seen in order not to bother your intellecual mind and be "acceptable" for you.

CLINT EASTWOOD, and I have a lot of things in common. ( except for his success in acting ). 😅 . I suppose if I had pursued that 🤔 career, I'd have been a lot more like him. He has always been my favorite Hollywood Icon. So many things about him that it's not possible to list all of the simmeraliies. ❤ . AMAZING: 😊 . I can honestly say he is one of those very few individuals who had a direct influence on the course of my life and development into the Man Who I've become. Thanks 👌 for the great biography.

I met him in 1970s and he and I were photograped. It was at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California. He didn't have his car and had been driven there. He asked me if I would take hime to his hotel. I turned him down. Our photos appeared in Movie Star Magazines ( before People or Star Magazines). I still have those 3 magazines in a storage box. I love that he loves Jazz, as I'm a professional Jazz singer.
