Leena Park he is a reporter, his job is to show things that are happening in the world. I agree with you on the point that UW makes money of it, but in capitalistic economic system it is required to support any job with resources. By your logic doctors are doing nothing good, because they make money from suffering, architects are doing nothing good, because they make money of people's need to live somewhere ant etc. I mean, it's true they make money, but it doesn't mean that his and other jobs are not important. If it brings somewhat positive influence, it's good, because you can actually control what influence your work has on people and society, but I can't see how you can control the fact that you need money and resources to do this work.

Leena Park and speaking of reporter's job and media in particular, sure he or better to say UW can't save or help exactly this people in the show, but by showing it, it changes us as viewers, it brings to us new ideas and new perspective, therefore it changes our culture. And you never know how this drops of experiences may help these people in a long run, may be someone will be inspired to do his med practice to help, may be someone will donate or else

Must be a very difficult situation for the journalist. To some degree you could feel he wanted to help stop Patrick/Patrick's mother losing money to a fraudster, but from another perspective he probably realised he (as a journalist) cannot get too involved and is primarily there to report on the issue, not fix the issue. Sylvester is evil. I am gutted for Patrick and his mother who trusted Sylvester.
I smiled when the reporter was talking about that player who had been in the World Cup for Cameron v England in 1990. I am not into football but I put a bet on at the bookies for that match for Cameroon to beat England at 26-1. I was in a bar where my friend was behind the bar. All through the match the others were shouting “ENGEERLAAAND,” whilst I was the only one on a table shouting “CAMEROON”.... I expected to get beaten up if Cameroon won, and they almost did had it not been for penalties.
The following World Cup, I bought a huge proper Cameroon flag and hung it from my house against a sea of England flags up and down my street. It’s become the thing now, everyone knows about my love for Cameroon 🇨🇲 , even tho I don’t know the team or anything about them or football itself, it’s just nice to see a different flag to the Red Cross on white 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Mad respect ✊🏽 for u reporting man, that’s my formal country LR du Cameroun, filled with wonderful armed robbers dressed in suits. From the President to the new born babies . Bfr i continue, Sylvester should be arrested and jailed for life, how does an agent with over 35 signees live in that hut , look at his physical looks , thief all over his face. This happens every minute , my brother and I went through the same thing and we finally had to rally with my friends and get that thief who came to deceive us . Saw us from top cup and lots of them came after us saying we will travel out before the week ends cus we were too good at that tender age ,me 11 and my bro 18 then. Little did we know this particular one was a scammer , collected hundreds of thousands from my family and was to come for more after living us stranded somewhere , made us travel to Yaoundé to play inside dust like in this video when I even had a better place in Bemenda to train . My mom finally came and got us back when we told her it was a scam and that guy left us in one man’s house and her wife was becoming so hard on us , this poor woman (my mom)gave all her savings to this idiot . Raised by the streets,,Young , wild and adventurous as we were , we had to get all that money back somehow or life will be hell . we informed our friends and we were all on operation “get him”through town . We only discovered him after two weeks . And my friend Now informed us all, next day my bro and I with 8 friends who stood by us from birth left for this dude , we arrived and knocked, wen he came out and saw us , he was shocked and my bigger friend just started fighting him, we all joined and beat him so bad his hand got broken in the process ,jungle justice. and his neighbors confirmed that’s his lifestyle , dude had stacks of money in his room, we carried everything plus his tv and other valuables to make up my mom’s money and uncles who contributed . From that day , my mom said she’s done and will not let us play again , but guys will always be guys we kept hiding and kicking until a real one came and took my bro , did everything for him before the informed my mom he’s traveling to Sweden, she had nothing to say , this was 3 years later, and she didn’t pay a dime , since I was the smaller one , my mom completely stopped me until I travel out here , USA doesn’t really push soccer that much , played with couple of junior clubs but don’t get any money , so I chose my school first and soccer is for fun now . I’m still young , if I see an opening I’ll still go cus I still got it . Let’s fight this robbers who maltreat poor families back home . I have big plans for this pple when I make it, I’ll fish a lot of them out like Sylvester cus I was a victim too. #NO TO FOOTBALL SCAM. This is the only thing that kept us off the streets and away from trouble 😭😭 why deceive us and our poor families

These player should ask themselves when American football teams go scouting for talent in American Samoa or baseball teams go to the Dominican Republic looking for baseball players do they have to put up money? The answer is no. The teams are making lots of money. If they need talent they will pay to bring the player over.

I’ve always wanted my league to grow and become somewhat international. As long as the kid has talent he is more than welcomed. Idk just a random idea.

the question is, why is it the player that has to come up with the cash? Shouldn't the agent front the costs, and get his money back once a contract is signed? This is the core of the problem- just like to Nigerian prince scam, you shouldn't have to pay if the club want you for a trail- they will front the transportation and hotel costs.

I think we all wish the best to the young African men who want to improve their lot in life. But having traveled to West Africa numerous time, I have yet to encounter plans that worked out the way they are understood in the West. In other words, when in Africa, don't count on anything. So I find it sad to see young African men thinking, that because the opportunity is in Europe, then it will all work out well.
