I know it’s all the craze right now, that’s part of why I wanted to go in the vintage modified stock car direction. I can add my own style to it and still be different. Thanks for watching!
I really appreciate the sub, I’ve had so many people drive by and ask if it’s for sale or if they could buy it for yard art. They look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them it’s gonna go back on the road!
Interesting history from your gram. I grew up in the Fairfield area, but am not old enough to remember the car she mentioned. I spent a lot of time at dirt tracks in SE Iowa, but it was late 60s, early 70s. Good luck with your car, it looks fairly knackered!
I’ve still got family around that area, wish I could find any photos from those tracks back when! I appreciate the support and history! Hope you subscribe, I’d love to keep in touch!
A gasser is an option, depends how things shake out! Right now there’s an Oldsmobile 350 sitting on shop floor for a power plant on a budget. Thanks for the support!
I can guarantee that thing will never run again. But I wouldn't mind having it sitting in my front yard, with Jerry's Speed Shop painted on the side. I don't think the neighbors would appreciate that though.
The hole in the middle of the dash was a radio. There were only 3 gauges in front of the steering wheel, I'd say the other was added by a previous owner.
Some 35-36 cars had an ashtray in the radio hole. I bought a 36 cabriolet dash to put in my Model A hot rod, and it came with a chrome ashtray in that spot.
Had to put this one on the back burner for a build-off but I’m going to be getting back to it. Really love the 5w coupes! Was it this rough or in better shape?
@@torquealleygarage No mine was in beautiful shape , especially surprising since it lived it's whole life in PA. until I picked it up. The guy I sold it to restored it to pristine condition , although I lost track of it & not really sure where she is now.
@@torquealleygarage I'm going to upload a video picture montage to my channel , it'll have a pic of my 36 & a pic of what the guy did to it that I found ... you should check it out 😃
Love the story and the idea for the car
Thank you! It deserves to have its story shared, that’s a big reason why I’m tackling this. Appreciate the support!
Boy that thing is rougher than a night in county. Good luck brother! I’ll be watching.
Had to put on hold for Ratstock 2024 build off with my studebaker!
Well it's definitely a tail dragger 😂 Nice work on the roof! 👍
Walnuts EVERYWHERE 😂
I love 36 Ford coupe's, but patina has been done to death. Every man and his dog is doing it.

That things gonna be sick when you get it done
Appreciate the support! Just dropped part 2 today
Football helmet bar is called a nerf bar, cool car
You’re right, I blanked out at the time. Lol. I thought about Morten Anderson and the sweet “2 bar” he rocked for decades. Thanks for watching!
That shell is a dream find here in the UK, subbed so we can watch the rat project.

I accept your challenge that it will never run again. Thanks for watching, Im sure my neighbors will wonder what I’m up to.

Thanks for the support! I’ve had so many people want to buy it, but it’s just too damn cool to sell it.

Thanks for the info! This coupe is a learning experience I’m happy to always get more knowledge about them!

I’d like to put an ashtray back in it, even though I don’t smoke.
I had a 36 5w coupe... wish I never got rid of it

@evojoe67 there’s a few I’ve sold over the years that I wonder where they are and what kind of shape now

@evojoe67 absolutely let me know when you do!
watching that old hunk dog ass drag across the grass got me to thinking, I'll bet that don't feel as good as it looks. Be well.
I got a dog at home, I’m pretty sure he would agree lol
