The Apple cider vinegar “fasting drink” I make for my fasting window is : 2 tblsp ACV 1/4 tsp Potassium Chloride 1/2 -3/4 tsp salt Pinch of red chili powder juice from 1/2 lemon or less I add this to 1 liter of water and sip. Tastes like Lemon pickle to me. I love it !! I can push my fasts upto 24 hours or more with this !
If you squeeze half a lemon along with one to two tsp of apple cider vinegar in 500 ml of water, add a pinch of rock salt and cinnamon powder, ACV drink will taste really good
I usually have 1. ACV with lime, 2. Black coffee with one hour gap 3. Green tea with moringa tea. Doing this practice for the past two years. Am feeling good.

I have managed to bring my fasting window to 20 hrs using water as my choice... sometimes I use cucumber infusion with lemon sometimes only... njoying the light and Swift body... Thank you Doc you are very relatable 🎉

ACV is acquired taste. When I was battling acid reflux, I started with 1 tsp in a cup of water and slowly increased to 1tbsp religiously for couple of weeks and saw significant reduction of acid reflux. Also, substituting lemon juice instead of tamarind in south indian dal and substituting red chilli powder witj green chillies dramatically reduced acid reflux in my case. Summary: ACV, eliminate tamarind and red chilli powder at least for dinner.

Maybe you can break your 3 course meal into 4 within your eating window. You can start working out everyday. Try to incorporate 2 HIIT work out in a week. Try different workouts. I am also at 70 now for a month. I am trying all these permutations and combinations. Yet to discover the results. But I am happy with my weight loss journey. I have healed myself from inside and out. It has just been 3 months for me.. I want to continue this forever.
I drink acv with 1ltr of water which will dissolve completely with no taste. And after 1hrs of lunch or in the evening I drink it to control the glucose level that I ate in my lunch. Thanks for every video you share I lost about 18kgs in 4months. My lifestyle is seriously changed all coz of you.

Hello Doc, thank you for the continuous motivation. I started IF 20 days back and doing 12-14 hrs on a daily basis without any issues. I haven't reduced any weight but my blood sugar levels are very good. Before IF if i take 10 tests in a month around 5-6 times blood sugar level will be 140+ but with IF even after having basmati rice my levels are less than 140. My skin tags are also getting reduced. Btw I have 2 questions. 1 . Can we drink buttermilk to extend the fast? 2. I'm having light stomach pain on a daily basis and i have increased number of bowel movements is it ok? 3-4 times in a day. Usually it is once in a day. Thank you so much. Continue your good work.
Just IF alone is not good try to follow low carb diet.....at time of fasting you can just have water, green tea or ACV with lemon & salt, strictly no to others. Also important try to finish 10,000 steps in total per day even divided mor & eve or in one go if possible u will get headache or stomach ache or little bit tired all these will disappear in 1 week........ following the above i lost 5 kgs within first 2 weeks and still going strong, all the best to u.
Dr. Pal, I use a straw to drink ACV(diluted with 250 ml of water with 2 teaspoons ACV). I also hated the taste of it but the straw helped me to drink it without touching my tongue and also didn't ruin teeth enamel. I'm a prediabetic and drink every day before having dinner.

Hi sir. I am doing fasting for 18 hours a day for past 1 month. I've lost 5 kgs sir. I am really happy sir. You are my GOD sir. I used to complete my lunch by 4 pm and my fasting starts. At 7pm I will have my coffee and night 9 pm I'll go to sleep. I'll have my breakfast by 10 am. Before when I use to have dinner, I used to sit for 1 hour for the food to digest. Don't give up... U can do it. Am also following intermittent fasting... 22 hrs of fasting... And eating window just 2 hrs... I lost around 5.5 kgs in 4 weeks... Am much more comfortable now. I feel very light... Earlier I followed low carb diet / keto diet / fruit diet.... I reduced my weight achieved my goal... But the problem is to maintain the same weight... Moreover we have to take lot of efforts to follow those dies... So pls stick on to intermittent fasting it will definitely help u achieve what u want . Don't giveup ... Hello Doc, try adding ACV in your salads. One of my fav’s is to add 2 tbsp of ACV into my green salad. (A mix of power greens with cucumbers, avocados (you can add any veggies that you love) 2 tsp basil pesto, a pinch of pepper and some feta cheese) 😀

So far, I’ve been following a 13-14 hour fasting window and I am looking to strech it to 16 next month. Hello Doctor, i am 68 years old and my belly circumference at present is 98 cm.i have been practicing intermittent fasting for the last six months. My belly circumference when i started intermittent fasting six months back was 110 cms.Initially i started with 14 hours fasting window and gradually increased it now to 21 hours with one meal a day. Considering my age of 68 years, can i continue with 21 hours fasting with one meal a day permanently until my belly circumference reaches to 90 cm.
I use 30ml of ACV in a glass of warm water first thing in the morning. I am using it without any problem for a long time. It has helped be a lot doctor. 😃

Apple cider vinegar can be use, with lemon juice with little pink rock salt. (2Tea spoons vinegar +2 Tea spoons lemon juice + salt + 30 ml water) it will taste good

I feel that once you understand why something happens, there is a way better chance of following what's being suggested. This channel actually does a way better job of explaining mechanisms, which is way better than citing studies if the mechanisms are known.
Hello Dr.Pal, love your videos. I've been using these to guide me in restricted time eating (8 hr eating window during day) and I've been at it past 4 weeks (no eating out, no deep fried , no alcohol etc). I've had acid reflux for a while that has aggravated big time. I have bloating and gas, that's inhibiting daily activity like walking and sleep. The gas rises up, fills up my chest and unless I expel by belch / burp, it feels like serious choking is moments away. I hear in this video that it is to be expected and reflux should subside after 6 weeks. I was pressing the panic button, seeking appointment with Gastro Dr. I'm even thinking of moving my restricted time eating to later when reflux is under control. What's your advice? I couldn't get pass the taste of the apple cider vinegar, but now I can. You can add lime and honey to it if you have difficulties drinking it. But after sometimes, you can drink apple cider vinegar with water only.

Thank you doctor for your advices. I’ve been doing 16:8 fasting since 2019 and drink only water. I was someone who didn’t like water but I got used to it since my health is too important. This was since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I’ve reversed it to pre-diabetic level. However, my doctor want me to further drop it and I’m doing longer fasts. I’ve done 24 hours and just taken water and green tea with no sugar. The first day was hard and I did very well on day 2. I want to extend the fasting window further but I’m worried that I won’t have enough nutrients down the road cos I’ll be eating less. I’ve cut off all refined carb consumption and things with added sugar and sweeteners. What would you recommend for me to do longer fasting windows and still take enough nutrients to my body?

I started intermittent fasting 3 months ago, I drink lot of water and black coffee from morning 6AM till 12noon, I do 16 hours fasting. Starts from 8PM to 12 Noon next day. I actually feel good. I have lost 8 Kilos since Feb 2024 till today May 13 2024. I will probably continue my fasting for rest of my life. I break my fast with 7 soaked almonds, dry fig and seasonal fruit salad. You feel weird for 1 week but your body just get used to it. If you want to feel good fasting is good option.
Can we add salt to our Lime/lemon water in the morning to extend the fasting window ? I know sugar is bad but not sure of the Salt , can you guide us Dr Pal ?

IF resulted me a lot 1yr before (89kg to 73kg ) and again i gained weight as i didn't follow IF for the past year... I do 16:8 IF routinely and sugar free black tea is fine. 1 large cup contains only 2 or 3 calories. Just make sure that you use less tea leaves than you usually use when you have milk tea, as without milk much of the bitterness is unmasked. You may also brew a small stick of cinnamon in the water first before adding tea. The cinnamon has a mild sweetening effect without the excessive calories.

I have tried keto, Low carb several times, those worked but couldn’t continue, for that again gaining weight. Just for one week i have started with 12 hrs of fasting, having constipation in the morning. My question is can I have chia seeds during fasting hour for constipation problem? Hi doc. I was reported with high cholesterol and fatty liver grade 2. After I started with intermittent fasting and no alcohol, my cholesterol levels have come down drastically and my liver health is ok. However I am not loo sing any weight and have stayed at a constant weight. Is this ok. I do a 16/8 fasting routine.
During Intermittent fasting, i stick only to water. I fast once a week for 25-30 hours. During this period, the last 5-6 hours, I use salt water. Salt helps like electrolytes and keeps me sustain for 5-6 hours more.
it’s simple, start with two meals (brunch & early dinner) a day & fruit in between. after few months, you can just stick to high calorie nutrient dense brunch & fruit/vegetable soup for early dinner, that’s like 1.5 meals a day. Now slowly shift towards having two fruit on empty stomach & a nutrient dense calorie dense brunch, which is almost One Meal A Day- OMAD. in addition to this, you can try complete fasting every sunday. Myself currently, i’m in the OMAD + fruit situation.

I don't see any point in drinking any other liquid other than water because it is free and other drink would cost me of my Monthly pocket money. I am a student and I have to manage my expenses too so I will continue to stick with Water, Dr Pal.
I'm having both black coffee and apple cider vinegar..both I enjoy and no punishing.. Esp, ACD, the trick is to start with really minimal qty, literally with drops and you would enjoy it for sure

Red chillies are more good than green chillies as green chillies also form gas. I tried it

I brought my weight to 72 from 88 in 8 weeks by IF and clean eating and workout. I feel so good about myself now.
Maybe you can break your 3 course meal into 4 within your eating window. You can start working out everyday. Try to incorporate 2 HIIT work out in a week. Try different workouts. I am also at 70 now for a month. I am trying all these permutations and combinations. Yet to discover the results. But I am happy with my weight loss journey. I have healed myself from inside and out. It has just been 3 months for me.. I want to continue this forever.
I drink acv with 1ltr of water which will dissolve completely with no taste. And after 1hrs of lunch or in the evening I drink it to control the glucose level that I ate in my lunch. Thanks for every video you share I lost about 18kgs in 4months. My lifestyle is seriously changed all coz of you.

Hello Doc, thank you for the continuous motivation. I started IF 20 days back and doing 12-14 hrs on a daily basis without any issues. I haven't reduced any weight but my blood sugar levels are very good. Before IF if i take 10 tests in a month around 5-6 times blood sugar level will be 140+ but with IF even after having basmati rice my levels are less than 140. My skin tags are also getting reduced.
Btw I have 2 questions.
1 . Can we drink buttermilk to extend the fast?
2. I'm having light stomach pain on a daily basis and i have increased number of bowel movements is it ok? 3-4 times in a day. Usually it is once in a day.

Did you take your medication during fasting period?
Just IF alone is not good try to follow low carb diet.....at time of fasting you can just have water, green tea or ACV with lemon & salt, strictly no to others. Also important try to finish 10,000 steps in total per day even divided mor & eve or in one go if possible u will get headache or stomach ache or little bit tired all these will disappear in 1 week........ following the above i lost 5 kgs within first 2 weeks and still going strong, all the best to u.

Dr. Pal, I use a straw to drink ACV(diluted with 250 ml of water with 2 teaspoons ACV).
I also hated the taste of it but the straw helped me to drink it without touching my tongue and also didn't ruin teeth enamel.

I used to complete my lunch by 4 pm and my fasting starts. At 7pm I will have my coffee and night 9 pm I'll go to sleep. I'll have my breakfast by 10 am.

Don't give up... U can do it. Am also following intermittent fasting... 22 hrs of fasting... And eating window just 2 hrs... I lost around 5.5 kgs in 4 weeks... Am much more comfortable now. I feel very light... Earlier I followed low carb diet / keto diet / fruit diet.... I reduced my weight achieved my goal... But the problem is to maintain the same weight... Moreover we have to take lot of efforts to follow those dies... So pls stick on to intermittent fasting it will definitely help u achieve what u want . Don't giveup ... Honey is sugar. Even during eating window it should be minimized. Absolutely no question of having it during fasting window
Hello Doc, try adding ACV in your salads. One of my fav’s is to add 2 tbsp of ACV into my green salad. (A mix of power greens with cucumbers, avocados (you can add any veggies that you love) 2 tsp basil pesto, a pinch of pepper and some feta cheese) 😀

Hello Doctor, i am 68 years old and my belly circumference at present is 98 cm.i have been practicing intermittent fasting for the last six months. My belly circumference when i started intermittent fasting six months back was 110 cms.Initially i started with 14 hours fasting window and gradually increased it now to 21 hours with one meal a day. Considering my age of 68 years, can i continue with 21 hours fasting with one meal a day permanently until my belly circumference reaches to 90 cm.
I use 30ml of ACV in a glass of warm water first thing in the morning. I am using it without any problem for a long time. It has helped be a lot doctor. 😃

Hello Dr.Pal, love your videos. I've been using these to guide me in restricted time eating (8 hr eating window during day) and I've been at it past 4 weeks (no eating out, no deep fried , no alcohol etc). I've had acid reflux for a while that has aggravated big time. I have bloating and gas, that's inhibiting daily activity like walking and sleep. The gas rises up, fills up my chest and unless I expel by belch / burp, it feels like serious choking is moments away.
I hear in this video that it is to be expected and reflux should subside after 6 weeks. I was pressing the panic button, seeking appointment with Gastro Dr. I'm even thinking of moving my restricted time eating to later when reflux is under control. What's your advice? Should I continue expecting to get better?

I couldn't get pass the taste of the apple cider vinegar, but now I can. You can add lime and honey to it if you have difficulties drinking it. But after sometimes, you can drink apple cider vinegar with water only.

Thank you doctor for your advices. I’ve been doing 16:8 fasting since 2019 and drink only water. I was someone who didn’t like water but I got used to it since my health is too important. This was since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I’ve reversed it to pre-diabetic level. However, my doctor want me to further drop it and I’m doing longer fasts. I’ve done 24 hours and just taken water and green tea with no sugar. The first day was hard and I did very well on day 2. I want to extend the fasting window further but I’m worried that I won’t have enough nutrients down the road cos I’ll be eating less. I’ve cut off all refined carb consumption and things with added sugar and sweeteners.
What would you recommend for me to do longer fasting windows and still take enough nutrients to my body?
Omad diet is also good... please do research, plan your 1000 calorie diet in advance, it promotes growth harmones

8 hours window doesn’t mean that you fast from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am..
it means you fast from 7:00 pm to 11:00 am and eat between 11:00 am to 7:00 pm

I started intermittent fasting 3 months ago, I drink lot of water and black coffee from morning 6AM till 12noon, I do 16 hours fasting. Starts from 8PM to 12 Noon next day. I actually feel good. I have lost 8 Kilos since Feb 2024 till today May 13 2024. I will probably continue my fasting for rest of my life. I break my fast with 7 soaked almonds, dry fig and seasonal fruit salad. You feel weird for 1 week but your body just get used to it. If you want to feel good fasting is good option.
Can we add salt to our Lime/lemon water in the morning to extend the fasting window ? I know sugar is bad but not sure of the Salt , can you guide us Dr Pal ?

IF resulted me a lot 1yr before (89kg to 73kg ) and again i gained weight as i didn't follow IF for the past year... Previously while undergoing fasting i had 1cup of tea in the morning but eventually i reduced my calorie intake in my 8hr eating window.. I'm glad that i've seen your video for proper fasting procedure ❤️ Now i'm going start my IF again.. What my question is you mentioned about black coffe above.... Is that ok having black tea( without sugar) during my intermittent fasting ?
I do 16:8 IF routinely and sugar free black tea is fine. 1 large cup contains only 2 or 3 calories.
Just make sure that you use less tea leaves than you usually use when you have milk tea, as without milk much of the bitterness is unmasked.
You may also brew a small stick of cinnamon in the water first before adding tea. The cinnamon has a mild sweetening effect without the excessive calories.

Take less than 150g carbs and consume apple cidar vinegar...fast for atleast 18 hours...You will get great results in a few weeks

Hi doc. I was reported with high cholesterol and fatty liver grade 2. After I started with intermittent fasting and no alcohol, my cholesterol levels have come down drastically and my liver health is ok. However I am not loo sing any weight and have stayed at a constant weight. Is this ok. I do a 16/8 fasting routine.
During Intermittent fasting, i stick only to water.
I fast once a week for 25-30 hours. During this period, the last 5-6 hours, I use salt water. Salt helps like electrolytes and keeps me sustain for 5-6 hours more.
1 large glass of warm water + 2 spoon of apple cider vinegar + 2 spoons of honey ( you can add pinch of cinnamon powder). Just love this drink
it’s simple, start with two meals (brunch & early dinner) a day & fruit in between. after few months, you can just stick to high calorie nutrient dense brunch & fruit/vegetable soup for early dinner, that’s like 1.5 meals a day. Now slowly shift towards having two fruit on empty stomach & a nutrient dense calorie dense brunch, which is almost One Meal A Day- OMAD. in addition to this, you can try complete fasting every sunday. Myself currently, i’m in the OMAD + fruit situation.

I make ACV palatable for me by adding a pinch of pudhina masala or jaljeera with a few drops of lemon or lime. Its a great drink in hot summer too.
I add boiled fenugreek seeds water to apple cider vinegar. Somehow I have become habitual to it now.

Half lemon + 300-350 ml water + 15-20 ml ACV + 2-3 pinch of black/rock salt - I love the taste. Black salt does the magic for me.
I don't see any point in drinking any other liquid other than water because it is free and other drink would cost me of my Monthly pocket money. I am a student and I have to manage my expenses too so I will continue to stick with Water, Dr Pal.
I'm having both black coffee and apple cider vinegar..both I enjoy and no punishing.. Esp, ACD, the trick is to start with really minimal qty, literally with drops and you would enjoy it for sure
