Alfred, yes, ACE has it ready to go. And people seem to like it. There is plenty of multi-purpose on the shelf. I got one of the last 20 SAE left when I was in. Oh, I have one more Legacy video coming out. I intend to link to your video and state you have the magic key to power and not breaking the Legacy - 8 pumps. I will say you make those shots up to 25 yards. I know folks don't really come to this channel for Crosman. So, one last video. I try to make them unqiue.
What would happen if someone didn't lube their Red Ryder and just kept using it? Would the FPS drop? Would it destroy it? I just bought a vintage Red Ryder and tested it for about twenty shots before remembering to lube it. It was firing a fair bit weaker than my new one, I could tell that much. Was wondering if maybe that (lack of lube) would be the cause.
That's a great question. It helps extend the seal life (in the Ryder case, the compression cup edges) and max out a healthy velocity. Some think the oil is for the spring. It does get on the spring, and the guide rod inside. Primarily, it is to coat the INSIDE TUBE walls. Solid seal air seal and jumps velocity momentarily before settling down. Remember, with either a needle nose or a spray straw, do not jam it into the oil hole. It hits the spring guide and won't lube right. Just ENTER the hole without ANY hard stop. I like Ballistol for BB spring guns. But some complain the velocity doesn't pick up - because I catch them jamming the straw onto the spring guide.
As long as it is AIRGUN GRADE. Many silicone products do not have high enough viscosity. You want 5000 CST. www.napaonline.com/en/p/NCB56204 You will still want needle nose lube transfer. .
Great question! Yes, absolutely! With that leaky Pellgun oil contrainer, just cut more of the tip off and squeeze it into a needle nose bottle. Mine leaked like crazy too. After getting a jug of 30 ND, I just tossed the pellgun oil. Some think the red color makes it special, but it is a legal issue. It just means it won't be used in an engine. I was told in the past it has a special seal protector in it. But, no, the mineral oil is the protectant.
www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/pure-guard/pure-guard-compressor-oil-4-quart/pgd0/ac18 Put it in a basic squeeze bottle. You can also use it to lube sliding door rails and hinge joints and axels on your garage door.
Good question. After your magazine empties, put more BBs inside, then oil the spring. POINT DOWN, then plink 3 times at a towel to work in the oil or go outside and knock down some cans.
Great info on the oil did not know they made a 20 3 in 1 oil. I use the same needle bottle for my sae nd 30 oil.

What do you think of using silicon oil ?

@@daisy880fanaticfixit9 Thanks.
Good to know.
Do those hobby lobby containers make a suitable replacement for crosman pelgun oil containers that always seem to leak?
Great question!

@@daisy880fanaticfixit9 I would love a RUclips "short" video where you identify off the shelf 30 ND at a local big box store

Thank you, sir for sharing. I wanted to ask when you put the oil in. Do you need to move the gun around or anything like that? Thank you.
