My wife gave me a "pros and cons" list she made of me when we started dating because it was literally 4 pages of pros and then after all 4 pages she just wrote "haha made you read a bunch of compliments there are no cons" and it was so cute and corny it made my day.
Same! Plus Damien’s “You gave it a name, now you can’t eat it” immediately followed by, “They found a hat that brought it to life!” I was like Tommy at that point, laughing so hard like “I’m gonna puke” 😂🤮😂
I’m a dietitian and just started seeing telehealth patients, one thing we learn is that everyone thinks of meals and eating differently, and truly getting a good picture of someone’s intake can take a lot questions.
I never thought about it much but I'd imagine a lot of people don't count things like soda and such as part of their diet either. I felt bad for that person tbh cuz they truly didn't realize how much sugar they were consuming
I have been T1D since I was 16, so I have been dialed in on nutrition for a very long time. The comment on the post were sooo judgemental! I appreciated that the guys pointed out that people's experiences with nutrition can vary wildly. America's gross diet culture makes a lot of women more familiar, but Americans really don't have any education outside of marketing so I can totally see how it would never occur to OP.
@@Slapchop721 I honestly didn’t read very many comments cause I was afraid they might be and I have too many opinions since this is what I do 😅 everyone is so different and food/health is talked about so differently in different households and regions you have to keep an open mind and really dig for root causes sometimes; and we have to understand if it’s what we do or what we’re interested in, we might have more knowledge than another person. My husband was appalled his sibling didn’t know what macros are and I was like dude, you have to remember you live with me and hear things others might not. And I have to remember there are things I know. It applies in lots of different ways! We can educate without belittling
It must be so difficult for the crew to keep quiet during reddit stories sometimes. I know they laugh along, but the impulse to just jump in and rant during this must be so high
Ooo it could be a good thing! Each person in the pyramid relationship is allowed to find others to date. Each new person essentially goes through a relationship training phase, and if they remain worthy of their place in the pyramid relationship, they can go out and find others to date outside of the pyramid. Oooo MLM plus cult vibes! Even better 😂
Not a pros and cons list per se, but on the night before our wedding, my now husband presented me with a surprise wedding gift he’d been secretly working on. It was a jar of gold and green (our wedding colors) origami stars, each one containing a reason why he loved me. One for each day since our first date. The stars weren’t meant to be unfolded, so he pulled up the document on his phone with his list of reasons so I could read each and every one. It was the most heart felt gift I’d ever received. That jar of stars sits on my nightstand as an ongoing reminder of why we got married💚 ⭐️
The Lego story with Tommy and Damien was easily some of the hardest I’ve laughed at one of the Reddit stories. They played off each other so well in this episode!
Tbh as a young 20s person with not the best mental health, not enough friends (in no better shape than me) these longer form more personal videos really help me have conversations im missing out on with way wiser people than i have acesss to
Same tbh! They're also helpful as someone whose (limited) social circle has few straight, monogamous, vanilla or neurotypical people in it. Cos any flavour of bubble can get judgey! Smosh discussions seem chill and inclusive enough to actually tackle the core issues without being skewed by assumptions. And I feel way more prepared if anyone ever asks advice about weddings 😂
I was just thinking to myself at work, as I’m painting, “man I wonder if Reddit stories is out!” I checked and it was 18 seconds ago. I felt it in my bones. It’s time

this has to be one of my fav damien and tommy reddit stories ever! they were on a roll and had me near tears multiple times, man. we need this duo on again ASAP!
Okay the pro cons list is wild…. Called her a slut when it seemed she was only sleeping with him, and the fact that he was sleeping with a ton of women????? And “wifey duties”???? Looooool drop his ass.
Truly sounds like how I imagine the typical american rich boy trajectory. Frat days, living life, forming alliances with all the other dudes. After that, get a job but keep your alliances to "your boys" plus filling the position of "wife" to fit his career in finance/politics/whatever. Keep having mistresses while picking perfect wife arm candy for the office functions.
The pros and cons list man literally contradicts himself! On the pros he said “she’s horny” and then the cons he said “kinda a slut” and then “academically successful” and “kinda nerdy” like bro
It’s like the guy who made a pros and cons list about his girlfriend and one of the pros was “fit/in shape” and one of the cons was “goes to the gym” bro, pick a struggle
Those aren’t the same though even though I can understand the confusion. I’ve had very horny girlfriends that are very slow to become comfortable with someone but once they do they are really horny. Being a slut means you’re quick to give your all to someone. Also being academically successful and preppy with absolutely no nerdy vibes is definitely a thing. And although rare there are some nerds that are not academically successful.
My grandson showed me Smosh last year and I love watching you all. I’m 65 in March and you all are so funny and sweet. I have to say that Damian and Tommy are my favorites. Damian is sooo funny and Tommy reminds me of a very good friend from middle school. And I never heard of Reddit until I watched you all. Thank you for making me laugh daily.
about the first story, im so confused why the husband was so embarrassed to tell his mom the truth about the purpose of the pillow. like, the truth is so much less embarrassing than her assumptions, i just dont get it
Right? It's hardly difficult to explain. Wife had that pillow from her teen geek phase, they both move a lot when sleeping so one night they brought it down and it worked
Prolly some form of the Male Toughness myth on the husband's part. There are people who shame anime/manga as they are viewed as childish, lewd, etc. The MIL prolly didn't even register the body pillow as what it is and only focused on the image she saw. Some people are stuck in their own bubble and reject anything outside it. There could be any number of other reasons. Just a weird dynamic of the MIL and husband.
@@tanvirrahman7339I also wonder if the MIL has problems with them being together and telling her about their 'incompatible' sleeping styles would put her on a tangent about how they shouldn't be together
Love wen Tommy and Damien are together cause Damien is always saying the best jokes that go unnoticed and Tommy (and Shayne especially with Damien) usually catches that stuff and his laugh makes it even better
Tommy and Damien are an underrated duo, I just love their vibe when paired up with each other. I hope we'll get to see them play some games together again or something, I miss Hooey and Beef Beef
sometimes I forget just how hilarious Damian and Tommy are (like comedic timing is on point from both), and then when the 2 of them are in a video together they both get 10x funnier istg
The crazy thing about the gross frat bro is that half of the "pros" on the list are also sort of demeaning, he didn't LIKE her, he liked that she was "wifey" material and didn't partake too much in the things he judges women for despite him doing them more often and INITIATING them. He has sex with women and then uses it to demean them, he invites women to parties and then uses it to demean them.
To add He is such a hypocrite From what I got she only hooked up with him but was horny for him And he who sleep around so much no one could keep track of his real body count HE called her a slut in his list?!?!? For what?!?! Sleeping with him?
I didn't realize how great Tommy and Damien were and how their brands of humor are not only similar but complimentary in a way that makes the jokes not only incredibly funny (and wonderful that everyone gets each others jokes) but having them riff was really nice! The best shocking twist this episode... maybe a close second to the Sausage piercing an apple but going to space one.
if you haven't watched them play the trucking simulators you MUST!!! they're complete opposites on the chaos spectrum and they're highly underrated together imo!
@ that’s fair I do remember those and recently rewatched them all. Beef beef and Houwee are quite fun but I think the layers of being characters playing a video game muddled it a bit but was still very fun
@@jougjimmadome but chan is an honorific used in Japan fr, not just by weebs? I mean, it’s normally used for little kids, pets, and maybe close female friends and stuff but it’s genuinely used 😅
Story 1: I think the issue is the son suddenly turning on the body pillow design simply because of the mum. He didn't have an ossue UNTIL his mum had an issue. Which I think is the actual problem.
idk, it IS kinda weird in the traditional sense to have a body pillow . Earlier he must've thought it was an inside joke for them, but now that his mum knows about it I understand why he feels embarrassed by it and wants to cover it up. It's not something big enough to take a stand for and die on that hill, that'd be overkill for a minor issue. If you can just brush it off, I think you should. I don't blame him here. Now if it was something much more serious and he didn't take a stand for that against his mother that'd be concerning.
He didn't "have a problem" he was embarrassed and he might not have known he was going to feel that way until it happened! And if your partner suddenly feels that way you should talk with them about it to try to understand instead of getting defensive over a pillow case?!? He's not saying he wants to get rid of the pillow and ruin their sleep, he asked to change the pillow case. She didn't say "mom's always a problem" or anything and it's definitely not a reason to end a relationship.
Answering Shayne’s “why would people write fake stories,” I think some people just like seeing how well they can write for believability. As a creative writer it’s probably tempting to just test out your skills on such a reactable audience as redditors.
The part that made the last story feel extra fake was the text "miss waking up next to you." Wife suddenly doesn't answer texts and doesn't come home all night, and this very "real" person doesn't worry?
29:56 “Frat rat” and “met on tinder” as cons??? You’re a frat boy and you were also on tinder????? Even his pros are gross. “will do wifey duties”??? drop drop drop him
The audacity for him to slut shame when people claimed all his 2500 followers were his gfs lmao. She even said she was a virgin before them sleeping together. The hypocrisy is unreal
33:08 after a while communication like that feels so good. You feel so safe to bring up anything that may bother you and the feeling of security in that is irreplaceable.
@@Riverippleand then it feels like you're waiting the whole conversation for the window to talk again either missing the conversations point or trying to say something funny that misses completely. Or God forbid you still wait for another window to say the thing you wanted to say minutes ago and it feels awkward.
for the first story i completely see why she wants to keep it. it would bother me SO MUCH if my partner's puritanical mother had any say in my relationship - at this point it isn't about the body pillow, it's the principle of letting your MIL ruin an inside joke
Yeah that reaction from the son/husband could be a red flag depending on the context. Without knowing their existing relationship, it just seems like he was mortified at having anyone see it. But if the MIL is regularly like this then it instead becomes him acquiescing to his mother's authority over his own relationship. Like was the MIL snooping around the house or did she actually only accidentally see it? Depending on their relationship, either could be believable.
Right? It's NONE of her business, and her weird controlling behaviour shouldn't be encouraged. In my experience, she will probably be meddling in that relationship for however long it lasts.
Yeah but if it genuinely makes her partner uncomfortable, the function of the pillow is the same with or without the anime character on it. Its strange that she wont make the easiest conpromise, but nobody besides the mom is an asshole here. Why did she just go home immediately thats so bizarre.
With the pros and cons list, it did hit me raw when she said "He can be really sweet sometimes" because all I kept thinking was "Yeah, and abusers are really sweet SOMETIMES, that's the point. It's only sometimes. It's the bait, don't get hooked." So glad she didn't. Not saying he's an abuser, but definitely an asshat. So happy, she saw the reality and got outta there.
33:50 Emily yelling “you were also on Tinder” in the background is also ME-yelling the same thing!! That was the douchiest story I’ve heard in a while. 🙄
That was beautifully put, the woman recovering from all the complaining talk. I think we all need time to vent, but my mom had an amazing rule in our home while we grew up. We could vent for 15 minutes and then we had to come up with 3 good or positive things that made us feel better about our day, the situation, or life in general. She also had us do that in arguments. We'd have to come up with positive things about one another. It honestly ended up helping so much. Now I automatically do it in my head and my life is so much better for it.
Second story’s second comment just opened my eyes. As a major yapper/complainer, I’ve been working on how to basically stop. That comment just gave me some great insight and tips.
@@firefly10241 Tone is key. If it's accusatory ("You never do this, you always do that."), it's complaining. If it's constructive ("You know how I love spending time with you? Video idea! You compile a bunch of AITA and SIMS 4 AITA (or any other fictional AITA subreddit) and let the guests guess from which subreddit the stories are :D
Oh, mygod, that would be MAGICAL. I've seen some cases where the story is _so_ casually awful that you're about to have a heart attack, and THEN they mention that it happened in the Sims. And if it's written a certain way, you honestly can't tell. :P
Im so glad damien brought up how fake the last story sounded i know in these we kinda keep up a suspension of disbelief cause its more fun to believe and engage but like he said this one was just soooooo bad lmao The dude saying "arent you a good sistwr walking his dog" LMAOOOO
I assumed they meant glitter on the cosmetic exterior of the "flared base" (i.e. the only visible part when inserted), to mimic the sort of jeweled butt plug that many people might envision. "Feel" as in perceived, not literal tactile feeling.
Im 100% with Damien on the “sister” one. The sheer coincidence of running into two different coworkers back to back that not only recognize you despite never having met you, feel confident approaching you despite, again, having never met you AND just so happen to mention off-hand the idea of you explicitly being his sister, not his wife, is bizarre. Plus, knowing enough to say you’re using a “throwaway” but then also explaining that you don’t know anything about Reddit makes no sense.
Yup, not the first time I've seen the old "I've never been on Reddit before!" gambit for a fake story. I guess they think it'll throw you off from the idea that they're actually very familiar with Reddit and know exactly what they're doing?
Also the OP was apparently gone for a FULL DAY without telling her husband where she was and he only called a single time and texted to ask if she wanted food? Like what? If I wake up and my partner isn’t there and isn’t answering her phone, I’m calling the cops within a few hours.
the ONLY way a pros/cons list about your partner can work especially as an anniversary present is if all of the "cons" are cutesy pros, like "one con about you is you're so awesome that when you're gone from any room the lights seem to get dimmer" or things that are goofy/insane inside jokes that don't actually exist like "yesterday babe, your electromagnetic pulses that regularly radiate from your armpit degaussed my laptop"
Last Story: The biggest problem I have is that the husband is that the first thing he did when confronted was try to gaslight his wife and he's still acting like HE'S the victim in this situation. He should have left that job a long time ago if he was that uncomfortable, but he's acting like a high schooler trying to fit in with the cool kids and completely ignoring his wife's feelings. Even the fact that he didn't show concern when his wife didn't come home is a red flag. Dude cares more about his convenience than his wife.
Also this feels like a lot of trickle truthing. He apparently had no inclination to tell her this was happening. He only tells her now after he’s been caught showing his entire ass. And he didn’t really reveal anything she didn’t already know. A few days ago, she thought he was her partner for life. No there’s literally no telling how many STIs he might have exposed her too.
That was my thought too. I could maybe see having conversations to come back from the whole sister thing...although that's weird and a big problem on it's own. But his immediate leap to manipulation and playing the dumb victim is slimy as hell. It confirmed any questions about him being a gross piece of shit that the initial lie raised. Yuck.
It was so many red flags here. One thing that pisses me off was from the beginning, why didn’t she just correct the guy who asked her if he was her husband’s sister? She wrote an unnecessary post and a long one at that talking about how she don’t know them, and how they feel and if he might think of me this way. GURL GET UP! This OP is a wuss then for her to leave her husband early in the morning after snooping through his phone to cry on her friends shoulders, ugh! They don’t deserve to be with other people, or single. If some guy comes up to me and starts flirting with me who I know is possibly my husband’s coworker, I would have mentioned something to him about me being married and is being together. Ugh! She just peeved me so much, I hated this story!
The fact that the husband lied and gaslit her until he managed to come up with a story later just leads me to believe his reasoning is just a lie too. I personally would never be able to trust that person again.
This trio is so good together! Only through the first story but Damien has such good zingers that many people need to marinate on a while. But both Shayne and Tommy guffaw instantly and I love that
@@violet.trying Precisely! I thought I was the only one! I truly appreciate it secondhand that these two in particular are great at addressing Damien's humor, I feel he is incredibly overlooked (not an unpopular observation though lol).
Speaking of the tic tac story, it's weird what people get used to and then consider normal. I used to be a personal fitness trainer and one of my clients wasn't losing weight, and was in fact gaining weight. We did food journals, had full calorie breakdowns of "everything" they ate, and even went as far as hooking this person up to a metabolic cart to make sure they didn't have some abnormality with with any of the data provided. After *months* of working with this person weekly, and asking every single session "did you forget anything that went in your mouth? Food, drinks, sauces, gum?" and every session getting a firm "I didn't forget, I write down everything, even sips of water." It *finally* came out that they were also eating A DOZEN EGGS a day, which were not in the food journals. All because a bodybuilder once told them that's the way to get big muscles. When I finally pried this info out of them I asked why they didn't tell me, and they figured it wouldn't matter since they've been eating a dozen eggs a day for so long that it can't possible have any effect in gaining weight... Anyway, they eventually did start losing weight when they stopped nearly 1,000 calories of eggs per day, on top of all the other food! I'm glad we finally figured it out, but I'm sure their egg supplier was probably a bit pissed at me. Because yeah, this client had a private egg supplier they would visit for the 84 eggs they needed, weekly.
How does one even eat a dozen eggs? Like... does he eat anything else or does he just boil 12 eggs and eat at once? I always eat eggs on toast/knackebread for breakfast, but I can eat a maximum of 3 eggs (1 and 1/2 per sandwich). And then if I eat eggs again for dinner, it is either scrambled or fried eggs with a salad and baked potato.
@@SammyLammy1D Maybe it's just me being odd but I find it really easy to consume a lot of eggs in particular. I could absolutely take down a dozen boiled eggs in one sitting, that said I wouldn't because I know better lol
Shaynes unbridled laugh hits me like this too. Feel like we havent been hearing it as much lately wich ive genuinely been a bit concerned about why its so much rarer lately
Not made up story (sister, not wife). I married a man in the military many years ago. I found it weird that he would always roll up his tinted windows when I took him to work. He would tell me to stay in the bedroom when he had friends over. After a bit, he started abusing me frequently. Having no family to turn to, I went to his commander to ask what I should do. She said to me and I quote...."(my husbands name) is not married. I said, yes, we have been married three years. He had not registered me as his wife as one in the military should do. No one knew he was married and yes, Tommy is right. He did that so he could screw around (frequently) with other people. So, maybe a lot of detail to her story, but I know from experience, this very well CAN happen.
I thought the same. Also in fake stories typically the writer would try to look cool or like an angel and the partner very bad, but she even gave the benefit of the doubt at the end. And the husband is def lying. Like "oh I lied about you because married people get bullied at work", it's insane. And also an easier lie for him would be to tell everyone she's her girlfriend and not wife, but I guess that wouldn't make him able to cheat.
It's that she sayd "I can barely remember the conversation but here's the rundown..." and then immediately NAILS every detail. It doesn't read from someones perspective retelling their life
For me it's not the contents of the post but the approach to it really. I can fully see that sort of thing happening, it's just the things Damien pointed out and some other information shared in the comments here make it feel less realistic from a writing perspective. But who knows!
No one's saying it can't happen. Its just the way it was written has some weirdness to it. For me, I immediately was suspicious when she said she doesn't know how to use reddit much yet she knows what a throwaway account is. So yeah we can't know for certain. There always needs to be a little distrust with these things.
"miss waking up next to you" says the unconcerned make-believe husband, after his wife suddenly stops responding to texts and DOESNT COME HOME ALL NIGHT. That's the part that got me
My god Damien is hilarious and quick. And I so love that Tommy is there to thoroughly appreciate his stellar quips that could have easily been glossed over as they sometimes are.
the idea of damien gifting a partner a body pillow of him is so cute. funny and sweet. if a partner did that for me I think id love it. and don't worry about goodwill, if the relationship ends badly that shits getting burned.
I love the chemistry between Damien, Tommy, and Shayne. This seemed like such a comfy and fun chat between friends. And Damien was sooooo funny! And insightful as always.
the second story boiled my blood because i have felt with very similar people. i tried to stay friends with an ex, but i was ALWAYS the one listening and being the “therapist” in the relationship. so, when we broke up, i was still that person. she would vent to me and complain ABOUT ME to MY FACE. and i had to listen and help. i’m so glad i finally snapped and we don’t talk anymore. now, i have a VERY clingy online friend. if i don’t reply to her immediately i get so many spam texts of “bestie??? bestie where are you???” and she’s constantly just asking for more and more. like she asks for compliments on her writing and ask for it over and over and more and more. it’s exhausting.
I always listen to reddit stories while I study (im a medicine student in my 2nd year) and its the only content that keeps me productive. Please don't stop making these til I graduate
Oz also does some like these which I love on his channel “Oz’s archive”, and I also find listening to Simon Whistler’s “Decoding the Unknown” and “Brain Blaze” series. Those aren’t “Reddit react” style content, but it’s Simon reacting to a script his writers have made for him specifically, so it frequently has a similar vibe!
Story 4: This wasn’t shocking at all because so many dudes are like this, but still this story pissed me off. A pros and cons list? Calling HER a slut when you were called “horniest man alive?” This is exactly why women choose the bear. This lady needs to drop his ass.
@matheuscastello6554 OP is referring to the hypothetical question (idk the origin) asked of women: "Would you rather be alone in the woods with a random man or a bear?" Most women will choose the bear because an interaction with a bear is far more predictable than an interaction with a strange man alone.
God that second story is giving me such vibes of my Mum, we spent 2 years sharing a room and as soon as I settled into bed and started reading, she'd start talking to me, apparently she used to do it to my dad too
“Unreliable narratior! He says that every time she’s talking it’s complaining!” Except that he literally gave examples, and it’s all complaints. I don’t understand Tommy and Shayne’s point there
The last story: I went through to the first post and read the comments, majorly of the comments advised her to communicate and talk to him directly and in the second update she says " you guys will be proud , I snooped through his phone"....like ..girl ,no. That's not the advice people gave.
Its clearly a fake story. She types LOL 20 times about being lied to etc she quite clearly made it up and finds it funny people even stupider than she is thought it was real. You see this all of time It might even be a dude just trolling its easy to do considering Reddit is full of people who lack the ability to think.
@@pablopablo3834 I was reading recently that LLM-generated posts are becoming a problem on AITA -- which is not the subreddit this story was posted in, but I'm sure it's a problem on others. I thought the same thing. Don't look into places you should not be looking into. It's someone else's bedroom, it's none of your goddamn business. She seems nosy and judgmental.

The second story with OP locking themselves in the basement hits close to home! My older brother always had some anger management issues, but starting around 2020 he started coming home and complaining/venting to me and my mom literally nonstop. Now, me and my mom are both the type of people that instinctively react to others complaining by trying to help via giving advice/solutions, which I now understand isn’t always what the person is looking for at the moment. But he would never let up whether we gave advice or just listened. For months we would try our best to listen and give advice to my brother during his rants, but over time both of us realized that his constant complaining and anger was starting to make us feel backed into a corner. We would try to placate him as best we could so that we could have some peace, but it would get to the point that he would keep coming back to rant to us no matter how we tried ending the conversation. He was never receptive of us asking him to ease up on the complaining and would only get more angry as a result, so I honestly began to dread him coming home every day bc I knew I would instantly be barraged by his constant intense and negative energy and I felt like I could never escape it. His anger eventually ended up getting him into some trouble and he also wasn’t receptive to going to therapy with us, so we eventually ended up distancing ourselves from him around 2-3 years ago. And to be completely honest, I wouldn’t want to reconnect with him unless he puts some serious work into finding better outlets for his built up anger and frustration. I no longer have to dread being in my own home, and I never want to go back to those times.
Regarding the second story, i was in an abusive relationship and my girlfriend would do the exact same thing. After voicing my complaint about it, she indeed ramped it up. It's an odd, mean way to exert control over someone. Never settle and if you aren't happy than there are no reasons to stay y'all!!

Thank you, Tommy! Sometimes, men say everything that comes out of their partner's mouth is complaining, but they never listen. Mst of the time is not complains, its just speaking generally about something or trying to have a conversation calmly.
I was kinda confused because nobody brought up the possibility that maybe he could be the a*hole? Because why would she complain about him every day, if the issue is eventually resolved then she’ll stop “complaining” no? He described himself in such a positive light. So all she does after work is complain and he just nods at that and makes appropriate faces? That to me sounded like he’s never considered listening and she goes on with the yapping because now she feels frustrated and out of resentment picks the one moment where he wants peace, to start complaining. As if she’s trying to get back at him for not being willing to communicate and just brushing her off with the appropriate response. Something just doesn’t add up about that story
@@udontevenwannaknowbruv that's why they prefaced that discussion with the possibility of the narrator being unreliable, since they can only go off of what is written.

Not a pros and cons list per se, but on the night before our wedding, my now husband presented me with a surprise wedding gift he’d been secretly working on. It was a jar of gold and green (our wedding colors) origami stars, each one containing a reason why he loved me. One for each day since our first date. Yeah exactly. What else will he change his mind on when mum shares her opinion?
idk, it IS kinda weird in the traditional sense to have a body pillow .
@@VivekYadav-ds8oz what's the problem with body pillows? 🤔
He didn't "have a problem" he was embarrassed and he might not have known he was going to feel that way until it happened! And if your partner suddenly feels that way you should talk with them about it to try to understand instead of getting defensive over a pillow case?!? He's not saying he wants to get rid of the pillow and ruin their sleep, he asked to change the pillow case. for the first story i completely see why she wants to keep it. it would bother me SO MUCH if my partner's puritanical mother had any say in my relationship - at this point it isn't about the body pillow, it's the principle of letting your MIL ruin an inside joke
EXACTLY
Sometimes things are not worth dying for. Sure, can stick it to the mil but harm the marriage in the process, not worth it imo

Some of it may be have been where she is communicating and he just says complaining since its about him not other things.
@@firefly10241 Tone is key. If it's accusatory ("You never do this, you always do that."), it's complaining. If it's constructive ("You know how I love spending time with you? "I used glitter to make it feel like the real thing" ... There is a lot to unpack there. What does that even mean? And... COOKING OIL?
Maybe like a real rock since it was a Lego rock?
I assumed they meant glitter on the cosmetic exterior of the "flared base" (i.e. the only visible part when inserted), to mimic the sort of jeweled butt plug that many people might envision. "Feel" as in perceived, not literal tactile feeling.
Glitter glue! It's kinda gel like when it dries.
It's glitter glue, not glitter, so it's clear glue that's kinda like hot glue but dries instead of melts
0 calorie cooking oil spray of course
Im 100% with Damien on the “sister” one. The sheer coincidence of running into two different coworkers back to back that not only recognize you despite never having met you, feel confident approaching you despite, again, having never met you AND just so happen to mention off-hand the idea of you explicitly being his sister, not his wife, is bizarre.
Plus, knowing enough to say you’re using a “throwaway” but then also explaining that you don’t know anything about Reddit makes no sense.

Idk if it was the way it was cut or smth (or I just started doubting after Damien brought up), but the edit 100% sounded like a bad fanfic like
Thank you! That "throwaway" thing bothered me from the very beginning.
The transition between the commercials was hilarious, those are two different Shaynes
the ONLY way a pros/cons list about your partner can work especially as an anniversary present is if all of the "cons" are cutesy pros, like "one con about you is you're so awesome that when you're gone from any room the lights seem to get dimmer" or things that are goofy/insane inside jokes that don't actually exist like "yesterday babe, your electromagnetic pulses that regularly radiate from your armpit degaussed my laptop"
That or just "Cons? The heII you talking about? There are none!"
Those are the nerdiest cons I've ever seen, I kinda love it😂
Last Story: The biggest problem I have is that the husband is that the first thing he did when confronted was try to gaslight his wife and he's still acting like HE'S the victim in this situation.
Alsooo what does he mean he’ll, them the truth if she wants, you should have done that ALREADY. Why havent you told the truth yet?

Speaking of the tic tac story, it's weird what people get used to and then consider normal. I used to be a personal fitness trainer and one of my clients wasn't losing weight, and was in fact gaining weight. We did food journals, had full calorie breakdowns of "everything" they ate, and even went as far as hooking this person up to a metabolic cart to make sure they didn't have some abnormality with with any of the data provided.
After *months* of working with this person weekly, and asking every single session "did you forget anything that went in your mouth? Food, drinks, sauces, gum?" and every session getting a firm "I didn't forget, I write down everything, even sips of water."
It *finally* came out that they were also eating A DOZEN EGGS a day, which were not in the food journals.
Was that Gaston from Beauty and the Beast??? 😂
@@SammyLammy1D Maybe it's just me being odd but I find it really easy to consume a lot of eggs in particular. I could absolutely take down a dozen boiled eggs in one sitting, that said I wouldn't because I know better lol
@RobABankWithABagel oh wow! That is cool. Altough good that you wouldn't, I guess 🤔☺️
@@SammyLammy1D I was so flabbergasted by the fact they were eating a dozen eggs a day that I didn't even think to ask how that's possible.

And I so love that Tommy is there to thoroughly appreciate his stellar quips that could have easily been glossed over as they sometimes are.

the second story boiled my blood because i have felt with very similar people. i tried to stay friends with an ex, but i was ALWAYS the one listening and being the “therapist” in the relationship. so, when we broke up, i was still that person. she would vent to me and complain ABOUT ME to MY FACE. and i had to listen and help. i’m so glad i finally snapped and we don’t talk anymore. now, i have a VERY clingy online friend. if i don’t reply to her immediately i get so many spam texts of “bestie??? bestie where are you???” and she’s constantly just asking for more and more. like she asks for compliments on her writing and ask for it over and over and more and more. it’s exhausting.
@@ace.l.w thank you for the recommendations! i have a lot of studying to do so i'll definitely check those out

Story 4: This wasn’t shocking at all because so many dudes are like this, but still this story pissed me off. A pros and cons list? Calling HER a slut when you were called “horniest man alive?” This is exactly why women choose the bear. This lady needs to drop his ass.
Yeah, you have to fight idiots by being an idiot.
what bear?
@matheuscastello6554 OP is referring to the hypothetical question (idk the origin) asked of women: "Would you rather be alone in the woods with a random man or a bear?" Most women will choose the bear because an interaction with a bear is far more predictable than an interaction with a strange man alone.

The last story:
I went through to the first post and read the comments, majorly of the comments advised her to communicate and talk to him directly and in the second update she says " you guys will be proud , I snooped through his phone"....like ..girl ,no.
Damien was right. The whole thing is just told in such an obviously narrative format. Sets off massive "Fake Story" alarm bells.
@@pablopablo3834 I was reading recently that LLM-generated posts are becoming a problem on AITA -- which is not the subreddit this story was posted in, but I'm sure it's a problem on others. The repeated "lol" is incredibly suspicious, I just can't imagine a human writer doing that even writing a fake story for a Reddit post. The fact that she did the exact opposite of what people were telling her to do is an even bigger red flag.
@@pablopablo3834 The lol's totally gave it away. I thought it was suspicious from the start, but that just confirmed it for me xD
How about tell MIL to mind her own business and get her mind out of the gutter? It's a pillow and she made a whole leap there. I mean come on!
Right. Wtf?
I thought the same thing. Don't look into places you should not be looking into. It's someone else's bedroom, it's none of your goddamn business. She seems nosy and judgmental.
@@katie18976Also, shut your bedroom door when you have company. It might have prevented her from looking in the room.
I'm also perplexed by the hubby being too embarrassed to tell his mom the real reason they use the pillow. As if letting her think they are having sex with it is somehow less embarrassing??
@@summerskull9379I wonder if the MIL has problems with their relationship, and if telling her they have 'incompatible' sleeping styles would put her on a tangent of talking about how they shouldn't be together

20:24 "I was not gay" when Shane said that it immediately made me think of hard rock Nick lmao 😂
